The Markazia suites are billed as 5 star but it would be lucky to get a 3 star in most countries so let's begin. When arriving with heavy luggage the door staff just watched and didn't even open the door There is only one restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a small bar attached to it The breakfasts are poor - the selection is limited and the coffee dreadful Rooms are faded and old fashioned - my carpet had stains and was thin. The bath room was cramped, the toilet seat came off once and the sliding doors of the bathroom kept getting stuck The suites had a ring for cooking but no utensils.... it just goes on. The facilities are just simply inadequate reception staff were pleasant but this is a really poor experience. Avoid there are much better places at the same price.

I had the pleasure of staying in Saifi Suites for nearly three weeks to prepare for a medical conference in Beirut. This hotel is truly wonderful. The rooms are clean, very spacious and well-equipped, as well as quiet. The WiFi is speedy and consistent (which is a rarity in Beirut!). Housekeeping is completed to a high standard. I ordered room service on occasion and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. The hotel is brilliantly located and if, like me, you prefer to walk, you are within a few minutes of downtown Beirut and only a little further for Zaitunay Bay, Hamra, etc. The airport is also only a 15-minute drive. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and answered my various questions on how to get around the city on my first visit. In particular, the guys and girls working in reception are honestly great. All in all, I would happily recommend Saifi Suites and would be glad to stay again.

Staff was very friendly, helpfull and polite. They helped us with all our requests during all our stay. Hotel has great location - close to Zaitunay Bay and a lot of tourist atractions. There are a lot of nice restaurants in short walking distance. Room was big, with very spacious balcony. Comfortable bed. Very good wi-fi. There were tee/coffee facilities, small fridge and every day bottle of complementary water. Hotel help us with transfer from airport (just 15$). We will defintly return back again.

I stayed in a junior suite which was very cute and cozy. The only downside to the hotel is the lack of breakfast or dining options. However, it is located in a very good part of downtown barely 10 minutes walk from Zaitunay Bay which houses several cafes and restaurants. It is also a walking distance from many restaurants, the marina and pubs. Staff were very nice and welcoming. They helped me order dinner twice.

Great hotel. Staff all amazing especially Bashar at Reception who is an absolute hero. We arrived after a difficult trip and he was so helpful on so many fronts. Where and how to get money and the best exchange rates (especially with financial problems) where to eat, what to do, advise on what to do on our short stay, taxis, day trips and more. He was so helpful. Thank you so much Bashar, best reception ever! Hotel location was perfecy to walk to central site and a 20 minute drive to the airport. Room was big and clean. Breakfast option would have been good. Amazing restaurant across the road with the best local food.

One of my favourite places in Lebanon, ”35 rooms” is a very charming boutique hotel in the middle of vibrant Hamra. Very clean rooms and comfortable settings and not to mention the lovely staff that working their best to provide us guest with a friendly service. Highly recommend if you are visiting beirut. ♡

The location is good, with walkable distances to some of Beirut’s sights and shopping centers. Their Restaurant Em nazih also serves some really good authentic lebanese food. Newly decorated hotel with spacious rooms and great staff. 24 hour entrance with daily room cleaning - they also offer super cheap laundry service (I haven’t used it however). My apartment had a balcony with a street view and was great to watch local people getting on with their lives and interacting with each other. The queen bed was really comfy and the lil fridge did it’s job well. The bathroom is shower only and there’s also AC in the room. The location has a real Middle East feel to it so no fancy buildings or parks etc. but I think this makes it more special. There is a lil supermarket just outside and has basic stuff which is open till late. The main high street is 2 mins walk where you can have quick Lebanese bites that are super cheap and delicious - there’s also a bigger supermarket with great fruit/veg. The only letdown was the WiFi - it was in range but was a bit slow, OK for browsing though. Overall very pleased and would visit again.
