Overall, Citybox Danmarksplass was pretty much exactly what I expected. I really liked its location and accessibility. The Danmarksplass light rail station is right nearby, making it super convenient to get to both Bergen city center and the airport. It's a huge plus for anyone traveling by public transport.
I also appreciated the self-service check-in and check-out. The entire process was quick and easy, with no need to queue or spend a lot of time on formalities. This really aligns with Citybox’s concept of simple, independent, and efficient accommodation.
The hotel itself was just as I had imagined: convenient, clean, simple, modern, and very practical. While the room design is minimalist, it meets all basic accommodation needs and was kept very clean and comfortable.
The communal areas are also very practical, offering a guest kitchen, microwave, kettle, and other facilities. There's also luggage storage and self-service laundry, which are all very handy for travelers.
If I visit Bergen again, I would definitely consider staying here. For me, it's not a luxury hotel, but a practical one that offers convenient transport, cleanliness, reasonable prices, and a very straightforward check-in process.

Overall, I recommend this hotel.
1️⃣ It's only a few minutes' walk to the bus/light rail station, making it very convenient to get to the city center, train station, and airport. Even with luggage, it's not a strenuous walk.
2️⃣ Although it's a bit far from the city center, the convenient transportation makes up for it. You can take the bus or walk. I highly recommend walking to the Bryggen area; it's practically a straight path. The scenery along the way is lovely, and it's safe, so a leisurely stroll isn't tiring at all.
3️⃣ There's a recreational area right downstairs from the hotel, perfect for a walk or relaxation. The main highlight is the breathtaking scenery, making it an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset.
4️⃣ You can get ice buckets from the bar. We went every day to get ice to enjoy drinks in our room.
5️⃣ There's a large park nearby with beautiful lawns and flowers.

This brand new apartment is located in one of Bergen's nicest neighbourhoods. It is located by "småpudden", a footbridge that takes you over to Møhlenpris and the city center and close to public transport (city rail and bus), which provides easy access to Bergen city center and other major sights in Bergen.The apartment has a sea view, a balcony and access to a roof terrace where you can enjoy the wonderful view towards Bergen Centre, Ulriken, Løvstakken and Damsgårdssundet.The apartment is on the 4th floor, and on the 1st floor you will find an organic bakery (opening autumn 2023). Right outside the door there are beautiful quayside promenades, floating jetty, kayak launch, cafes, restaurants, open meeting places, shops and fitness centre.Parking right outside the door is available for NOK 250 extra per night. Send the registration number of the car and we will arrange parking for you if desired. Having said that, the apartment is so centrally located that a car will not be necessary (depending on your needs of course).Important information regarding beds: 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds. Good hotel, you can walk from the center (about 30 minutes). There is a grocery market just in front of the hotel, which is also handy. The only thing that surprised us was the connecting rooms with a door between them. Everything was fine with us, but in other cases you can hear noise.

When I booked, I clearly selected a quadruple room, but they gave me a six-person room. The front desk said, 'Your order shows a six-person room.' I'm puzzled, where did the mistake happen?

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the room we stayed in was comfortable. However, our arrival experience was disappointing. We booked through Trip.com and, at check-in, were told that the room we had reserved was much smaller and not what we were expecting. Based on that explanation, we paid an additional fee to upgrade. Later, the hotel explained that the confusion was caused by the room photos used by the booking platform. Regardless of whose mistake it was, as a guest I was placed in a position where I felt I had to pay extra because of conflicting information between the hotel and its booking partner. I believe hotels should work closely with their booking partners to ensure room descriptions and photos are accurate, so guests can make informed decisions before arrival. I hope this process is improved for future guests.

At a very central location. I was allowed to check-in earlier since the room was available which is much appreciated. Friendly staff. The room is more like an apartment and has a great view over the city. I booked a reasonable price for Bergen standards which was similar to what other hotels offered for a 8m^2 room, so i felt it's good value for money. It was very clean and wifi was fast. I would appreciate some coffee in the room since there is already a kitchen and everything you might need, although I do understand.

This is a very distinctive hotel, I highly recommend everyone to stay. The hotel reception is only one meter wide and is at the far left of the restaurant counter. The hotel building is old, so it is adapted to local conditions, and the room types of each room are different. The main colors in the room are black and purple, quiet and elegant. The room is clean and tidy, and all the service staff I have contacted are very good and help us solve various problems. I booked a no breakfast on Ctrip, and the front desk gave us a free breakfast. The breakfast provided is quite satisfactory, which is considered good among the hotels here in Norway.
I came to Bergen with my children to take an interview exam for further study. I worked remotely in the room for two days, and I felt that the room was a bit dark and the lighting was not enough. This is the only small regret I feel. I will choose this hotel again if I come to Bergen for pure fun in the future.

Cute little hotel in close proximity to the fisherman’s market and about 8 minute walk to Bryggen. Was easy to get to with the airport bus (about 3 minutes from the stop)
I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning as the weather was quite hot while staying, but it wasn’t a problem. I kept the dial continuously at -5, not sure if that really did anything.
Friendly and helpful people working behind the desk at check in and out.
Breakfast was a wide assortment of local and western foods. Liked the assortment. There didn’t really seem to be a worker whose job it was to clear tables as that process was slow. But there was space upstairs to eat.
Room was very clean with big windows, but can’t see out them as they are stained. Bed was a bit soft for my liking, like really soft and the shower leaked out onto the floor, but I think it’s reasonable considering the other positives and the price point of the hotel.
Would definitely consider staying here again if ever in Bergen.

The location is very convenient, within walking distance of everything. The front desk upgraded my room, which was much more spacious and comfortable. I requested a quiet room, and the hotel took note and arranged a room facing the courtyard, which was very quiet at night, and I slept very well. The hygiene facilities are about average for Scandinavia. Again, a reminder: when staying in Scandinavian hotels, bring your own toothbrush and slippers; this hotel also requires body lotion. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of choices, and it starts very early, suitable for those catching a train or on a tour. Overall, a very comfortable stay, and I would stay again next time.
