Best Hotels near Friedrichsbrucke, Berlin

a budget hotel with budget facilities. I expected nothing more and nothing less. In my experience it is what it says in the description. The location is good, close to a metro station and within walking distance of checkpoint Charlie. The hotel had a nice bar area adjoining the check in desk. With a comfortable place to sit down. The bed is very soft though in a twin room they are too close together. The hotel offers AC in the hotel room and a radiator for towels in the bathroom. However the AC is a bit week, so give yourself plenty of time to cool down before you sleep.

I was checked in by a friendly receptionist at 1:20 pm and received my room right away. The lobby was nicely decorated and gave the impression of a 4-star city hotel. However, the room did not reflect 4-star standards as it was very small and a bit worn out yet clean and tidy. The room could fit a luggage rack, a small closet, a small desk as well as a small coffee table and two chairs. The queen bed was comfortable and the pillows great. The high ceiling gave the room an airy feel but the floorboards were showing their age and would need to be treated. There was a 0.5 L water bottle in the room on arrival, not replenished. There was also a safe and A/C. The trams outside were a bit noisy, but I slept well nevertheless. The thick curtains did a good job keeping the room dark in the morning. The bathroom came with a walk-in shower with excellent water pressure in the handheld shower. Amenities (shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion; no conditioner) were from Molton Brown, which is a brand I like, but they were provided in wall-mounted containers, which I don’t find as hygienic as single-use bottles even though I of course understand the motivation of saving money this way. Breakfast was served in the ground floor dining room 7–11 (weekends until noon). It would have cost a reasonable 17 EUR/person, but I did not try it. Check-out is already at 11, although they were happy to allow me to stay in the room until noon and to store my luggage until my evening flight. The hotel is located in Hackerscher Markt, with lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. The nearest Spätkauf for drinks and snacks is on the next block, and the S-Bahn to the airport is a few minutes away. Alexanderplatz is within walking distance; the centre of West-Berlin is a train ride away. Hotel prices in Berlin seem to have gone through the roof post-covid, and my nightly rate of 95 EUR felt a bit much. But I can very well see myself returning in future if the price is right. All in all a solid choice for a business trip or short holiday in Berlin.

Beautiful 5-star hotel located in the heart of Berlin, from which you can go everywhere on foot (Brandenburg Gate at 900 meters, for example). Very complete breakfast, which does not lack a single detail. Maria deserves a special mention, a very kind person who made our stay infinitely more pleasant. Because of its location, services and staff like María, a clear candidate to repeat😊😊😊👏👏👏👏

The hostel is very dirty. All the surfaces are sticky. There is a terrible stench in the rooms, toilets, corridors and lobby. Things forgotten by the previous tenants are lying around until they are thrown away by the current tenants. Mattresses are stained with brown stains, possibly menstrual blood (I was in the women's room). The pillows are crumpled and terribly uncomfortable. The beds stand so you can't fully open the window to air it out. The lobby is very noisy and smelly too, apparently there is no ventilation or it is blocked. Absolutely not recommended, even for 25€ a night! It's too much for this place.

Good hotel, reasonable, great location and attentive staff. Breakfast is very generous, so pay for that. room was small, but had a desk and full bathroom and double bed, what else could you ask for. View was a parking lot but it also meant that it was quiet. Hot water pressure and internet speed were both good. Bathroom showed its age a little, but was fine.

Rabble. Very rude man at the reception. I had 2 downpayments, but he even not bothered to check the 2 one and threw me away at 11pm without any reason, knowing very well that I will not find a place for overnight. Greed, rabble and laziness. Incredible rudeness and lack of honesty. He even slandered me suggesting that I wanted to cheat him! What an offence. Rabble! It is the last thing I would make. To the contrary - for the sake of honesty I wanted him to check and to acknowledge 2 downpayments. Don t worry, HG, I have the money, it was not the question of money (very small indeed) , but of honour , but he probably will never know, what the honour is. Can he understand such a thing!? His job - it was to look for the email with a second downpayment, but he didn t bother, just refused even to look.! I loved this hostel for many years, until today, Years ago it was a nice atmosphere, and the handsome, kind elderly boss reigned here... Incredible rabble. Deutsche ubermensch. I went to this hotel for a mid-week vacation with my lovely daughter. With an UBER it was about 10 Euro to get to the hotel. Check-in was smooth, the older man behind the desk wasnt overly friendly but rather efficient and that was fine. We paid the tourist-tax and got one room-key for our room. We paid online about 80 Euro a night and we got a room with three beds at the back. The room was clean and simple. A desk with a big-screen TV, a shower-room with a toilet and a wash-basin. The shower was ok but we didnt like the shower-curtains. Also the water would be warm for about five minutes but it didnt bother us. Everyday cleaning with new linen and towels. In the morning you can have breakfast but you have to pay for it. We didnt use it. The hotel is set conveniently in the middle of Berlin near Kurfurstenstrasse and Dam. Near the U-Bahn and busses.

This hotel has had a revamp and is now called the Art Hotel, Park Plaza. There is another Park Plaza nearby…..we ended up there first! So don’t get confused!! Once you find this hotel….we arrived on the day of a national strike… it’s fab. Ignore the journey planner…. This hotel is a less than 10 min walk from the western end of the U1 line. The room we had was on 5th floor on a quite busy street, but it was so quiet we didn’t realise it until we looked out of the window the following morning. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, a great night sleep was had by us both. Shower was a big rainfall type with a smaller head shower head option if you wanted. Complimentary Elemis shower gel, hand wash, as well as body lotion. Breakfast was worth every penny as part of your B&B option. Otherwise it’s €18 for a full option or €5 for coffee and a croissant in the bar. Breakfast was fresh, pastries, cheese, meats, toast, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, pancakes, cereals, yoghurts; you could make your own fresh juice from fresh veggies & fruits. Coffee was excellent (I was told)…. I took my own teabags as I am very fussy, and made great tea. There is a spectacular hot water urn……that is very ornate and was awesome. Staff were multilingual and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very insightful about the local area, and the available public transport options. I would highly recommend this hotel which has pop art throughout. We are planning to head back to visit Berlin again and we will most certainly stay here again.

The breakfast was excellent. I drink tea a lot and there were a variety of tea I could choose and I could choose to brew a cup or a pot of tea. They served different kind of eggs, including omelets. The room is very clean and well equipped with coffee maker and kettle.

A very modern, arty and colourful hotel with lots of graffiti type paintwork in the main lobby and restaurant area. The breakfasts were fantastic with a very good variety of food and probably the best scrambled egg I have ever had in any hotel. The staff were very helpful and service was excellent and we had a quiet and comfortable room. The hotel is situated on the 5th floor of a shopping mall and therefore quite hard to find especially if you are arriving by car. They charge a very reasonable 3 Euros a day to park in the adjacent car park and the U Bahn stop Frankfurter Allee is just round the corner. There are a lot of good restaurants for dinner near Samariterstrasse which is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel or one stop on the U Bahn.
