I travel a lot and spend around 150 days in hotels around the world. I expected more from a 5-star hotel. Positive: the location right on the beach, perfect breakfast, first-class staff. I didn't like the room facilities: the furnishings were OK, the electrical fittings were outdated (the same as they were 20 years ago), the bathroom was OK but nothing special for a 5-star hotel, the bed... well... you can feel the feathers. The pillows and blankets take some getting used to, the elevator is broken... all in all I would say: 3 stars + but nothing more. It wasn't a mistake to book this hotel (when the weather was nice 😉)

Der Begriff "Grand" im Namen des Hotels ist hier eher mit "groß" statt mit "großartig" zu übersetzen. Es handelt sich um ein (im Vergleich zu anderen Gebäuden an der Strandpromenade) relativ großes Hotel, bestehend aus vier miteinander verbundenen viergeschossigen Häusern. Der Begriff "großartig" will einem in keiner Ecke des Hotels in den Sinn kommen, auch nicht beim Betreten der eher durchschnittlich anmutenden Lobby.
Gebucht hatten wir ein Zimmer "Baltic Deluxe Balkon Seeseite". Im Zusammenhang mit dem angezeigten Foto und dem Werbespruch "... 5-Sterne-Hotel in Binz direkt am Strand ..." hatten wir (wenigstens ein bisschen) Meerblick erwartet. Stattdessen blickten wir auf die Fassade des Hauses auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite. Was "Baltic Deluxe" bedeuten soll, blieb uns ein Rätsel.
Das Hotel ist offensichtlich sehr hundefreundlich. Am Eingang steht für den vierbeinigen Gast ein Hundestrandkorb mit Wassernapf bereit.
Das Zimmer war geräumig und hell, aber stark abgenutzt. Die Schränke rochen muffig, Teppichboden und Polstermöbel wiesen unschöne Flecken auf. Es roch ein wenig nach Hund. Hier wollte man weder barfuß laufen noch gemütlich sitzen. Eine Wohlfühloase sieht anders aus. Im Bad gab es eine (unbeleuchtete) Duschnische mit Handbrause und Duschvorhang. Auch das eher dritt- als erstklassig.

Dejligt ophold
Vi havde et 3 dages ophold. Vi startede med et meget venligt og imødekommende personale, hvor starten var et glas boblevin. Hele vejen igennem var personalet meget venlige. Dejligt spabad. Parkeringsmulig i top. Vi kunne endda lade vores bil gratis. Vi kommer gerne igen, da opholdet var en stor fornøjelse

Family trip to Binz
Great location in Binz with short walks to everything you need, esp. the beach right outside of the hotel. The breakfast and bbq buffet was outstanding.
The rooms are a bit dated by now. Very small toiletries, esp. for stays for more than 1 day.

Lyxigt hotell med brister
Ett hotell med mycket hög standard.: mycket välutrustade och rymliga rum, fantastisk frukost, vänlig personal. Denna beskrivning
grumlas av att en av våra medresenärer inte fick sitt rum städat och två av oss inte fick vare sig tvål eller schampo i badrummet. I det perspektiv en för hög prisnivå.

Sehr guter Service, tolles Essen, prima Lage, sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer zur Meerseite sehr geräumig. Gute Massagen, angenehmer Wellnessbereich.
Kleinigkeiten fallen negativ auf: - kein Fischmesser beim Fischgericht, kein Mineralwasser Medium, kein Tischpapierkorb beim Frühstück.
Extrem hohe Parkgebühren, die zwangsläufig gezahlt werden müssen, weil es keine Alternative gibt.

Super beliggenhed men alligevel skuffet
Tilfredshed handler jo altid om forventninger. Dette er overrated og trænger til opfriskning - har vist levet længe på laurbærene fra sin yngre dage.
Beliggenhed og udsigt er super i et fantastisk område. Service ok men heller ikke mere. Pool og spa ikke topklasse og massagen var et flop.
