"Modern, new and well renovated hotel located in a busy area that offers many food options within walking distance. What I found was the basin tap was not cleaned thoroughly when we checked in, and the air con is so noisy that we need to switch it off when we sleep."

"The service was excellent. The front desk lady was a local and spoke fluent Chinese. We spent Mid-Autumn Festival here. The room was provided with fruit, snacks, drinks, and mooncakes. "The second time I came to Bishkek, I stayed at the Sofia Chinese Hotel. I stayed here when I came last summer. It was good in all aspects. 👉The hotel is quite new, the single bed is quite spacious, and the bedding is comfortable, so I slept very well. The service is very good. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know Russian. The hotel has Chinese staff who know Mandarin. Of course, you can also use the translation to communicate with the local waiters. 👉There is free mineral water, tea and coffee. There is a restaurant downstairs. It is not far from the city center and it is very convenient to go everywhere."

"Not a bad hotel, comfortable and spacious rooms, the room has everything you need. Some rooms have been cosmetically renovated. The number of rooms is small. We didn't take breakfast, so I can't say anything. There are a lot of places near the hotel where you can eat tasty and varied food. WiFi is very weak... Value for money👌"

"The hotel met all our expectations and we liked it. The location is good. The glass wall and the door to the bathroom were confusing. The column in the middle of the room also raised some questions. At our request, we were given an ironing board with an iron without additional charges. Breakfast is a buffet. I have attached a photo below. You can choose what you like. Plus, they can make an omelet and make tea/coffee. The staff at the restaurant told us about this. The restaurant itself is located on the top floor and has a good view of the city and mountains."

"I enjoyed the peacefulness of this palace like hotel with its lovely rooftop for sunset viewing. The room was comfortable, reasonably priced, and clean. I appreciated the relaxation of the onsite private spa that was a lovely surprise to my stay. The staff were helpful in providing guidance for city landmarks and attendng to any requests I had. Highly recommend it!"

"Decided to book the same hotel for our return leg after trekking in Karakol. First stay at Novotel was excellent (see my other review) but the second stay was horrible. Check in time was 3pm so we went out for lunch and got back at 3.20pm only to be told that one of the two rooms was not available. Reception staff, Zania, was rude and unapologetic and didn't even bothered to provide an estimated time. Another receptionist told us it would be about 30 mins and they would send the keys to the room. We went into the room and at 4.15pm we called the reception desk and they told us they will deliver the key in 5 mins. 10 mins have passed before the key was delivered. 5-star hotel with poor time management and bad service - no follow up on room key. Other areas were good though EXCEPT front desk staff. Staff at massage/pool were polite, so were the restaurant staff. Please educate your front desk staff especially Ms Zania, as they are the first line of service."
