Not what we expected
This apartment building is a two story walkup, with stairs outside to get to front door. Don't bring heavy suitcases! Door has keypad and apartment key with receipt is hanging on hook to the left of the door. Anyone arriving before you can take any key to browse the building.
Apartment 4, ours, seemed remodeled recently to have a room with bed, and side board with tv, and a disportionately-sized bathroom. Not really an apartment. Below side board is a microwave and small refrigerator, neither of which we used There is an assumption that you will somehow figure out how to cook in that room although only two small cups, spoons, and two plates were available. Sign on wall had price list punishment for not cleaning up, although only the bathroom sink was available for doing dishes, and an almost empty soap bottle was in the cabinet with hair dryer and a brush.
The bathroom is huge, with clawfoot bathtub, tiny sink, and a side chair.
Generally, the place felt rundown. It is in a small town neighborhood without much to compel walking around. We never saw anyone managing the place. It is possible this kind of accommodation is typical outside the couple of Iceland cities, but to give it a high rating seems unfair to the people browsing to find a place. Overall, we would say 3.0.
