Hotels Near Karnas Vineyards in Bodrum

This was our first time at an Aman and we didn't love it. After reading some other reviews, Amanruya seems to rank differently though to some of their other properties. Although we wouldn't return to this particular Aman, we would give another one a try. In short, we had a good stay but it wasn't faultless - by far. Considering the price you pay and value you get for money, I can only give it 3/5. ROOM 4/5 My understanding is that all the rooms are the same, just with different views. In our case we were surrounded by lovely gardens and big trees. The outdoor area is spacious and definitely the highlight for us. We spent most of our time at our private heated pool or in the sala relaxing. Every so often you get staff walking across the gardens so just bear in mind that you do not have complete privacy. The inside is beautifully laid out and furnished but perhaps a bit sterile for some. We stayed at the end of October and as it was getting colder, you spent more time indoors than in summer. Unfortunately the rooms weren't exactly conducive to lingering... i.e. the chairs are made for sitting rather than lying and reading a book. The living room area is also right next to your bed and doesn't have a very cosy feel. I guess the best way of putting it is slight style over substance. At least for us. (But perhaps this is an Aman-thing?) The bathroom is huge and gorgeous. Great toiletries, lovely tub. Fantastic bed and pillows. Nice music selection with ipod. There is also a TV with DVD player but you have to ask reception for a list of movies available to borrow. FOOD 4/5 The quality of ingredients and food overall was fantastic. Fresh produce with so much flavour that was very well executed! Starting with breakfast, the à la carte selection is varied and we didn't get bored after 5 days. The Menemen is a standout, as well as the Bodrum Breakfast which contains many local items like cheeses, hummus, honey and cream... We actually only had lunch at the beach once during our stay as breakfast kept us full until the evening. It's a shame because they have a different menu for lunch with Pides, Kebabs, etc. - unfortunately this food is not available for dinner. We brought it up with the Manager and he did mention that they had been talking about opening the beach restaurant in the evenings. Otherwise you are left with only one option, the main restaurant, as there is nothing close by outside of the resort. The food at dinner was excellent though and everything we tried was flavoursome and very well executed. The salads, mezzes, even the pasta was cooked to absolute perfection. The Baklava was the standout. I have never had such good Baklava in my life. I'm giving food 4/5 purely because of the lack of choice overall. Especially the room service menu was quite small and uninspired. Why put a burger on the menu and not some local items or mezze? It is amazing to feel and see how much the employees like their job. The hotel is an oasis. The hotel cats in the garden are so relaxed. The Tuti restaurant offers a beautiful view over Bodrum and the food is tasty and of good quality. The pool looks good (never used, was all the time at the beaches). The hotel beach where the hotel offers complimentary transfer to, is nice but with 30min too far away. As for the room. It is a historic building but all is kept up to date. Unfortunately I don’t like ground floor rooms. It has this „cellar feeling“.

A very decent budget friendly boutique hotel. First of all, this place was one of the cheapest decent options in Bodrum when I was searching. The hotel was beautiful, with bougainvillea climbing on the white buildings and flowers in pots around the hotel (although some pots were empty, as if the rejuvenation before the holiday season was only half done). The room was good sized, looking like newly painted, but not spotlessly clean. The aircon worked well. The bathroom was almost bad with an ill fitted toilet seat and dirty floor. I had to ask them to send the cleaner to clean my room, otherwise it’s not done. The pool was of a decent size considering the relatively small size of the hotel. The hotel was located on a quiet one-way backstreet. Walking to the marina took only around 15 mins. There were 5 parking spots in front of the hotel. Breakfast was bare minimum - a piece of cold meat, a boiled egg, two pieces of fried cheese sprig rolls, jams, bread, Turkish tea and instant coffee. But considering the price, it was acceptable. The staff were mostly nice and accommodating. There was just one person who stood out as a little unfriendly (bald guy, probably the manager or big brother of all the rest). The cleaning ladies could be a bit less aggressively noisy. The towels smelled of oil and that was understandable as the kitchen and laundry were opposite each other with their door’s always ajar. Despite these few minus points, I would still stay here again because of the affordability, relative convenient location, photogenic environment and (mostly) nice staff.

It’s a standard 3-stars hotel with very loud annoying music Check-in was quick and our bags arrived quickly at the room, which was good and spacious with a balcony with a great view. As gold members of *******, we were upgraded and offered a fruit plate. However, the shower was leaking, the curtains did not shut properly and the coffee machine wasn’t working (1 coffee is complimentary, the following days it’s paid - another surprise at a 5-stars hotel). We complained and the curtains were fixed but the other issues remained unfixed. The jacuzzi wasn’t working properly too. They do not make the turn around at night, as expected in a 5-stars unit. So the towels you use in the morning are the same you used after the beach, still humid. We dined twice at the restaurant and the food was ok. The setting is very good, right near the sea. Our waitress was a lovely girl from Cazaquistan - the only staff member to whom we would rate a 5-stars service. Breakfast is simply not good. The porridge was terribly made and the scrambled eggs were watery. It’s served at the table, you can only choose the juice, coffee, eggs and pancakes besides what they bring to the table. Beach chairs are not comfortable and we couldn’t move the shade, it is fixed together with a little table. There are five cabanas on the deck, at 150€ per day! But the worst part is the VERY LOUD MUSIC ALL THE TIME! It’s impossible to relax at the beach with horrible disco music the whole afternoon. EVERY DAY. When you complain they lower the volume a little bit and slowly put it very loud again… We were lucky enough there were few guests during our stay. Staff is very young and inexperienced, most of them speak poor English. We were wondering whether the owners of this hotel want it to be a 5-stars boutique hotel or a teenagers disco on the beach (even the choice of music is tiring and annoying!). Management should decide wether they run an elegant boutique style property or a noisy standard little hotel. Service in general is poor and we would never rate this a 5-stars boutique hotel. For the price paid at this hotel, we would expect a much better service and atmosphere. We do not recommend it and would rate it as 3-stars unit, as it is. We left after two nights (we booked 5 nights at this hotel).

We lived at Degirmenburnu residence almost 5 months and it was a really great experience! Hotel has a very good location - near you can find Marina (in 15 minutes walking) with so many restaurants, cafes and Gumbet's beach (in 5-10 minutes walking). Also there is enough kid's playgrounds, it was important for us, cause of the baby)). Hotel’s rooms has all for long staying there (wash machine, place for cooking, dishwasher and etc.), rooms have wonderful views on the sea and the part of Bodrum city. But the best in this hotel I think is in administration service. All of ours questions and problems was solved and it was really quickly. For example our dishwasher broke (it was almost night, about 11 pm) and they come to help us and changed it for a new one just in 15 minutes! And all our asks was solved every time so fast as in example above. I want to say many thanks to Eric and other staff for that kind and personal attention to us and to our friends too. If we will come back to Bodrum we’ll definitely stay at Degirmenburnu!

Great location near the center and Gümbet area. Easy transportation, lovely breakfast, and excellent facilities. Moreover, the front desk manager, Mr. İlkay, was very attentive. You can have a delightful vacation here.

I had a lovely stay in this gorgeous boutique hotel run a by lovely young couple who made me feel very welcome and at home. The room was very clean and well appointed, nice pool area, amazing views over Gumbet Bay and a lovely poolside bar. If I come back to Gumbet I will certainly book here again.

Recently returned from a week’s stay at Very Chic and had the most AMAZING time! The all inclusive food concept ordering via a QR code is brilliant. However, the biggest highlight for us was the amazing bar, restaurant, and entertainment staff. They work so hard and are extremely attentive - we were treated like royalty throughout our entire stay. Special thanks to Ibrahim for making our holiday so great with his amazing service and delicious cocktails. Free Starbucks at the hotel is also a great perk and the staff here are brilliant. I would not hesitate to recommend Very Chic and already cannot wait to return!!!

The overall hotel environment and conditions are pretty good, but I lost a pair of Bluetooth headphones in the room. Because it automatically connects to the phone, I found that the Bluetooth headphones lost connection in the hotel room that night. Strangely, it was automatically connected the next morning. When I opened the door, a waiter happened to pass by... I told her about this and hoped that she would find it and give it to me. I still didn't find the headphones until I checked out.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left The Mirada was absolutely perfect and the experience ultimately comes down to the staff who deserve massive recognition for all their hard work. We were greeted by a very friendly Berk on reception who allowed us to enjoy breakfast before it closed whilst he did our paperwork, this was very kind and considerate of him. He then arranged for a cake to be sent to our room for my mum’s birthday which again was a really thoughtful touch. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and would source our drinks at breakfast and dinner times, special mention to Nusret who was able to make my sister’s very difficult latte request. We enjoyed our nights spent at the Lounge 9+ bar with Sullyman and another barman whose name I didn’t catch. The pair of them were great with ensuring all guests had drinks and even draped blankets around those who were feeling the cold. The beach terrace was lovely and sunny and was where we spent most of the day enjoying the beautiful weather. With a special mention to Sabri who was always offering us drinks. Melody the customer service General Manager listened to a minor complaint of ours with sincerity and ensured the issue was resolved promptly. Furthermore, Ugur the spa manager provided great service when we arrived at the spa and also took the time to find us to discuss the minor complaint we had which was greatly appreciated. Overall, we had an absolutely fabulous time at the Mirada. The food, service and facilities were perfect and just what you would want for a relaxing stay! Thank you so much to The Mirada team!
