The room is very large and well-equipped. It is very good in Milan. In the suburbs, don’t get in and out of the hotel too late. It takes about 5 minutes to the subway station. There is a large supermarket. Breakfast is okay. It’s cheaper than eating outside. The keychain is too heavy. The door lock can be opened after a long time

This was a lovely hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. I booked it as there was a pool which I thought would be good after a day in Bologna but what I didn't take cognisance of was the distance from town centre. That being said the taxis were relatively cheap. The room was excellent size with a fab bathroom with a bath and separate shower. It was spotless. There was a good selection at breakfast which also catered for gluten free. I would stay here again if I go back to Bologna

A very nice hotel with good amenities. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was decent. Bring a hairdryer as the hairdryer supplied is ok for short hair, but not great for long hair. There was only 2 plug sockets in the room and one in the bathroom. This makes charging modern day phones, watches and other equipment very difficult. Especially if one of the plugs is located behind a cupboard. The kettle was balanced on the air con unit which isn’t ideal. A shelf would be a good idea. There aren’t any draws to put away underwear or tee shirts so be prepared to live from your case, however there is a clothes rail. The beds are made everyday and fresh towels if required. We used the spa which was lovely, although the pool probably was a clean. We will definitely return as the location is excellent, about 8 minute walk to the station.

Spacious, functional and well organised. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. All speak very good English. Despite the closeness to the Bologna railway station the place is set back, quiet and green, with a large outdoor area for relaxation. The rooms are functional, clean, well ventilated and fitted with A.C. Totally recommended!

On our round trip through northern Italy, we stopped in Bologna from 24.7.-25.7.22. We had booked a Classic double room at UNAHotels Bologna Centro via an online platform. Likewise, we already know UNAHotels from previous stays in other cities. The hotel is located outside the old town. It's a comfortable 20-minute walk. Unfortunately, the check-in did not work smoothly. The room was not ready at 13.15. The reception could not even check us in. They could only do that when the room was ready. I have never experienced anything like this and it has never happened in any other UNA hotel. Fortunately, we were able to drop off the luggage. A garage is also an advantage in Bologna. The reservation worked without a problem here, cost 22 euros per night. The room was very good. Size, comfort and cleanliness were perfect. The bathroom is also good. Everything necessary is available. Modern furnishings. Our request for a room on the upper floors was met. Wifi is good. The breakfast has everything you could want. Despite the discrepancies at check in, we can recommend the UNAHotels Bologna Centro.

The location is near maggiore Hospital, and around 49 minutes walking from city center. There, you can also reach by bus-line 13. Tickets you can find at the reception. From hotel to the airport you have 2 good options: a taxi or the bus 944 which stops at Maggiore Hospital. Marconi express train leads you to Bologna centrale- one way ticket 9.20 euro. The bus is 4 euro. The taxi from hotel to airport was 15 euro. The staff at the reception is extremely helpful and kind, they provide you maps, informations that you need. If you did not book with breakfast, you can buy at the hotel. Very good breakfast- I do recommend. The bar is open 24 hours. The hotel has a little patio where you can stay to drink a coffee or smoke. Also bikes rentals available, Wi-fi, parking spot and also charging station for electric cars. The rooms are not big but enough. The bed is very comfortable. All toiletries provided. Also free minibar: water and peanuts and cookies. Once again the big plus of the hotel is the amazing staff.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo hotel una sola notte, io e il mio compagno siamo venuti da Roma per un concerto all' Arena Parco Nord, la posizione per noi è stata perfetta perché in 5 minuti eravamo sul posto. La camera è bellisisma, moderna e pulita, idem il bagno con doccia grande. Unico neo la moquette a terra, io non la amo. La colazione è buonissima e molto varia. Consigliato.

The flight was canceled and I was forced to stay overnight in a hurry.
I was looking for it near the airport because it was early in the morning.
In the morning, I asked the hotel for a taxi and arrived in about 8 minutes and was able to go smoothly.
When you arrive at the hotel at night, you can get to the vicinity of the hotel by bus and have good access, but since there is no bus from around 21:00, you can go by train, but if you are a train, you can walk to the hotel for about 30 minutes. Taxi - There is no platform and the road is dark.
We were very lucky because we happened to have someone passing by by car.
Breakfast is from 7 o'clock.
There were amenities and it was very comfortable!

The check- in was terrible. The lady that checked me in had no clue on how to treat customers. She had no name tag on the uniform and she didn't share her name. She asked me to pay again even if I told her that I had a voucher showing my payment. Only after 15 minutes she realized she had made a mistake but she didn't apologize. I paid also the 2 euro being a non resident but she was pissed and arrogant the entire time and did not provided info on how to get to the room. Her colleague instead was very pleasant and she gave us directions followed by a nice smile. For the rate of the room, it would have been nice to find a pair of sleepers there. The hotel location was very nice, quiet and pleasant with a free parking. The bed was very comfortable, the room was new but not very clean. The carpet was dirty and the floor in the bathroom was scratched. The glass door of the wardrobe was super heavy and uncomfortable to open. The phone on the side of the bed was very dirty and the bottons to call the front desk or to digit other room numbers and/or to make calls were too small. The card to open the door room was difficult to use. The restaurant was not available. The breakfast was ok. The pancakes and the cappuccino were fresh, the rest wasn't.

陶陶觅The hotel is located on the main road of Bologna, across the road from the Cathedral. On the day of the check-in, a grand religious celebration is held, as it is close to the road and you can walk through the road to feel. The room is large, especially the bathroom, and it is no exaggeration to say that you can dance inside. There is an emergency alarm rope near the toilet and the shower. I have pulled two times in the unknown. I have to call the security immediately and need no assistance. It is quite professional and safe. The bathroom accessories are famous Italian brands, the quality is very good, they are brought back to China after they have not been used up, especially like it. The breakfast room was slightly crowded and the dishes were average, but there were even porridge dishes. Later, I learned that there were Japanese monks and local religious groups to hold a friendly relationship and cooperation ceremony during the stay. It was very interesting to walk from the hotel. The restaurant waiter also asked us about Chinese tastes and Chinese cuisine. Although the English communication between the two sides could not convey the essence of Chinese food, they communicated clearly with the help of the body language and imagination. The breakfast was really good. A cultural exchange platform, the restaurant waiter is also very friendly. In general, although it is not the best hotel in Italy, it is also a great place to experience.

GGuest UserThe Starhotel Excelsior is located directly across the street from the central train station, thus is very convenient for those arriving to Bologna by rail. It is also very easy to come in by car without having to battle the traffic of central Bologna and parking is very easy. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the central square. The walk is pleasant day or night on streets lined with shops and restaurants. The area around central station is lively at any time and feels reasonably safe. The hotel itself is quite modern. Rooms are large and quiet despite its proximity to the bustle of the train station. The quality of the rooms and service is extremely good for the price.

GGuest Userthe hotel staff was very courteous and professional. Upon my arrival, I was offered a room change for a higher level upon payment of the difference in rate, and I gladly accepted. The room was very nice. The only flaw, not negligible given the level of the room, was the discovery of a long black hair (clearly not owned by me since I am shaved nor by the other guest) in the sheet of the mattress and a cup of coffee used by the previous guest who was on the terrace balustrade. Otherwise everything went well.

MMadTwalkerThis is a personal opinion, the hotels location is great, just across the road from the Train station, several bus stops within walking distance and taxi rank just nearby. Overall it didn’t give me that 4 star hotel experience, I found the rooms and bathrooms outdated, the rooms could do with a refurb and better lighting and air system, could be a lot better. The areas I covered or seen are clean, staff are ok-ish except one of the receptionist (Giulia) she was brilliant and she took a request of mine at heart and delivered it as requested.

GGuest UserWe have arrived to Social Hub in Bologna for our Easter break. Check in was easy - although a bit surprised we had to pay further bill for our stay (city tax wasn’t apparently included in the booking).
The communal space is as on the photos. We haven’t used many amenities as the pool was still closed and when we asked about pink pong rackets there were never available (even though nobody played at the time). But I particularly liked the fact most of the plants were actually real. That was a lovely touch.
We opted out from having the breakfast (for 12.50€ per person) and had coffee and croissants instead which worked out much cheaper.
Our room was spacious (lovely high ceiling) and perfectly clean. Perhaps a little armchair would be nice as it felt a bit empty with just a desk & chair, bed and simple clothes shelving. But for short stay it was ok. There was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room. Just some water bottles. The rest was a payable mini bar. The TV had only one English speaking channel (BBC news) and wasn’t compatible for mirror screening with iPhones (Androids only).
Bathroom was super clean. We found the water pressure a bit low but still manageable.
Overall it’s a nice place to stay as it’s conveniently placed a stone throw from the train station and walking distance from the old town. Staff was friendly and helpful.

GGuest UserOn first approach, it was clear to see that this hotel is quite far out from the city centre however explains why the prices are a lot cheaper. My partner and I stayed here in July 2022 for 4 nights and I must admit, we loved the room and overall feel of the hotel. Rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. We slept amazingly!! If it was just based on rooms alone, we would give this hotel five stars. However… We booked this hotel mainly because it had a pool. When we asked about the pool, we were informed we needed to book a 1 hour slot if we wanted to use it during that day. This was due to covid measures which were still in place at the hotel. So we did. Booked a 1 hour slot for the pool the following evening. When we arrived at the pool on the lower level, we noticed that the changing rooms were locked and the showers were turned off…due to Covid. Now I would typically understand some reasoning for certain covid rules but this just seemed ridiculous. A couple who were using the pool in the hour slot before us informed us to use the small shower cubicle to get changed as this had a frosted glass door on it and is the only bit of privacy you get down there. So we did! We ended up booking the pool out another two times on our stay but as reception advised following our first pool visit, get changed in your rooms then head down to the pool (assuming you don’t need to get the key from reception to unlock the pool). Towels were provided by poolside although on the first day, there was only one towel left for the two of us. On my final visit to the pool on the morning before we left, I had to go to reception in my swimming trunks because the pool was locked. Something I felt uncomfortable doing in the first place but as there was no changing facilities and the towels were locked by poolside, I reluctantly went to reception where the man behind the desk got angry at me being there in my swimming trunks. Simple solution would be to open up the changing facilities down by poolside to prevent this but hey, that was too obvious. Upon pointing out the fact that the changing facilities in his hotel were locked because they won’t open them due to Covid (which he should have known), he eventually calmed down and mentioned he understood. On our visit we also used the electric bikes which were at reception for a full day at the cost of €25 per bike per day. The system is far to complicated for what it needs to be and should be made simpler by just having reception deal with the booking. Once eventually booked, we were given the keys to the 2 bike locks, helmets and some netting for our hair (another odd covid measure which doesn’t make much sense as you will sweat through the netting anyway). As I was away to take the bikes out, I noticed that all four tyres were flat. Surely this should be inspected by the staff before the bikes are taken out?! Unfortunately staff appeared clueless on what PSI the tires had to be at and as he pumped up the first

We selected this hotel based on the TA reviews. It does come at a price and you need to select your room carefully to fully enjoy your experience here. Here are our opinions on some of the essentials from any hotel. Location: - Everywhere in Bologna itself is within fairly easy touch of the airport with Hotel Touring being no exception. It’s a taxi ride away or a hop on the ‘Aerobus’ and then walking (more on that later). The hotel is tucked away in a side street just far enough away to be quiet but it’s only a 10-minute stroll into the central areas. Just down the road is a Coop minimart. We stayed in a ‘standard’ room and this will be the subject of this review. Quiet room: - Our standard room was quiet. Very quiet. It can also best be described as compact meaning that some items were stored on the floor. Our particular room also was also sadly lacking in daylight. Thankfully we were out a lot so it wasn’t too big an issue. There are slightly larger rooms available judging by pictures I saw within reviews but you will pay significantly more for these. Air-conditioning/Room temperature: - Yes but not required in November where it was often fairly cool/cold outside. There was a radiator in the bedroom with a responsive thermostatic valve to just keep the room at the correct temperature. There was also a heated towel rail in the bathroom which appeared to be always on but that was not set too high. Wi-Fi: - We had free included Wi-Fi. The password was supplied to us in the room. Annoyingly you had to keep re-connecting every time you came back to your room. The Wi-Fi signal was good. Comfortable bed / pillows. A simple yet very comfortable bed and pillows. We had some good sleeps here. Hairdryer: - Yes. On the wall in the shower room. No complaints from my wife so it must have been ok. Plastic Shower Cap: - Yes. One happy wife. Toiletries provided: - Small bottles of shampoo and a bar of soap. That was it. No shower gel supplied in the standard room. It may be different in the superior rooms. Shower: - Good plentiful hot water. Nothing special but did everything you could want from a shower. Ours had a curtain around it which was a bit of a faff and resulted in some water occasionally getting onto the floor. Safe: - Yes. Tea/Coffee making facilities: - None supplied in the standard room. Bring your own kettle. We asked at reception to loan a kettle but they could not do this for whatever reason. However, they were happy to supply hot water from reception which just meant you had to go get it yourself. Breakfasts: - Very nice breakfasts and much better than I have experienced in some other places in Italy. Coffee was from a machine and on my one experience it was a bit ropey tasting. However, I asked the attentive staff who were more than glad to knock up an expresso, a pot of hot water and some milk to make a delicious Americano. Really nice and a breakfast to look forward to. Eateries Nearby: - Nothing is too far away from Hotel

GGuest UserWe had a very nice stay . All the stuff was super kind and polite . 5 to 5 for the cleaners ! The breakfast was very good ! Special thank to the man with glasses in breakfast stage and reception and also to lovely Albanian lady . We loved them and made our stay very comfortable!

MMelrose MaeGreat location with great staff. The bell tolls every so often, but it is no bother. Shower is a tad bit tiny but bathroom is big. Lift is available but some rooms on level 2 has a few steps to conquer - do request a room that does not tackle this if you cannot lift your luggage for these few steps. One key per room, but key can be left at reception. We had 4 rooms all up and they mananged to get us all on same floor & close by, as per our request. Again, all the staff are great. Check-in is 3pm, check-out is 11am.
