We arrived around 1230 at night. The check in was smooth and they guy was super friendly. We booked a twin - however the room we got was a double and the beds couldn’t be split. The reception team moved us to a twin with no bother at all. The room was clean and very quiet. The beds were a little firm for our liking but it was a good night sleep. The hotel is a little dated - but we were expecting this. The breakfast was good. Your typical hotel breakfast. The free shuttle the next day was very good - had we arrived earlier the night before we would have been able to get the shuttle to the airport instead of a taxi which was around €16.00. So make sure you get the shuttle timetable from the hotel before you arrive. A pleasant one night stay.

I had a reservation made directly in this hotel. It was recommended by some friends. About 2 weeks before my planned stay, I was reached by Paolo from CDH Hotel Bologna front office, with the information that the central office management had decided to close the hotel for a few days, and that included the day of my reservation. Within 24hrs Paolo called me back after having found for me a better accommodation in a close by hotel at the exact same rate. This is what I call customer service! Thank you. I will for sure come back again to try your rooms!

ALBERHO ALLE PORTE DI Bolgna zona residenziale e tranquilla personale in front office molto gentile e accomodante ..per chi viaggia e deve prendere un aereo o comune alzardi presto per affari dirri che va benissimo letto comodo stanza molto minimal ma ha ciò che necessita appunto per soste brevi x lavoro ecc ..nn x stare se uno ha impegni diverso r vorrebbe dormire perché la mattina si sentono gli aerei molto ravvicinati e anche la porta del giroscsle che sbatte wuanfo scendo molto presto ..per questo dico che è perfetto per dormire e prendere l aereo il gg dopo o se uno è di passaggio..comunque con me sono stati davvero gentili..

I visited with my family for 1 night as a night stop. On arrival the area does not look particularly attractive & the outside of the hotel looks a little tired. But once inside the hotel is lovely & the staff very friendly & helpful. The rooms are large with air conditioning & very clean with lovely shabby shic furniture. There is a car park at the back of the hotel but it is a little small although we were able to park our cars in there. Breakfast was what you would expect of a continental. There is a very good Italian restaurant next door to the hotel which we used for dinner.

Very close to the airport, about 15 euros by taxi, 20 minutes, breakfast is very rich, the room is very spacious and tidy, there is a large balcony, the front desk is very warm. The B&B is not as described, we were taken in to the flat which has cctv in the communal areas and given a set of keys. The man who met us at the gate spoke no English so we did not understand him and as he left quite quickly he did not give us much information. The property did not feel particularly secure as we heard what sounded like someone trying to open doors in the flat multiple times. The “air conditioning” in the twin room is actually a medium sized fan perched on a chair. When looking in the mini fridge in the room there was an open and use bottle of water. The buffet breakfast was some stale package pastries left on the table with some dirty cups. We left after 2 nights and chose to stay somewhere else as we did not feel secure or comfortable there. I’m addition to our twin room there were 3 locked rooms and we were unsure if we were sharing with other people or not, and we were not comfortable leaving our valuables there as the front door did not lock properly. I would not recommend staying there.

Hotel location is a bit biased, not on the main road, but the hotel environment is good, the facilities are very new, the room is normal size, breakfast is good, there are bars and restaurants around, cost-effective, if you do not care about the city distance or work around it is recommended.

We have arrived to Social Hub in Bologna for our Easter break. Check in was easy - although a bit surprised we had to pay further bill for our stay (city tax wasn’t apparently included in the booking). The communal space is as on the photos. We haven’t used many amenities as the pool was still closed and when we asked about pink pong rackets there were never available (even though nobody played at the time). But I particularly liked the fact most of the plants were actually real. That was a lovely touch. We opted out from having the breakfast (for 12.50€ per person) and had coffee and croissants instead which worked out much cheaper. Our room was spacious (lovely high ceiling) and perfectly clean. Perhaps a little armchair would be nice as it felt a bit empty with just a desk & chair, bed and simple clothes shelving. But for short stay it was ok. There was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room. Just some water bottles. The rest was a payable mini bar. The TV had only one English speaking channel (BBC news) and wasn’t compatible for mirror screening with iPhones (Androids only). Bathroom was super clean. We found the water pressure a bit low but still manageable. Overall it’s a nice place to stay as it’s conveniently placed a stone throw from the train station and walking distance from the old town. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you for having us.
