Location was closed the flixbus station by walk and receptionist was amazingly friendly. Room condition was even beyond my expection and good enough to stay alone with a nice and huge window view from my window or I'm the lucky one to stay in a beautiful corner room. Thanks for having this good memory for my first time to visit in Bordeaux.

The hotel is beautifuly maintained, the staff is great. Continental reakfast at 10 euros is ok but fruits could be improved a bit. I was grateful that they were willing to go find me gluten free bread. Perhaps you could add a few more items to the continental breakfast. Guests should be aware of the location of this hotel. It is a long walk to downtown and while there is a tram within 15 minute walking distance, we did not feel very safe in this area. Not recommend you walk around after dark.

Admittedly, this is a bit of a concept, so it’s not for everyone. The rooms are tiny and minimalist, with nice-quality furnishings (Hansgrohe shower heads), but not many of them (no wardrobe or somesuch), combined with the – somewhat au courant and very cheap – coarse chipboard and industrial details. So if you’re hankering for cushy-cushy premium 5star luxury, move on. But the upsides reach from very low prices, to a very small footprint in CO2 (and other resource-use) terms, to a very pleasant international contemporary interpretation of common areas (yes, we have foosball), to an unexcitedly cool clientele. In a way, it reminded me of the early high-concept Club Med, with extremely modest rooms (often tents) and a focus on the communal experience, at times a bit essentialist. For us, less was more.
Mondrian Bordeaux Les Carmes is opening in the heart of the Chartrons district. The chic, Philippe Starck-designed hotel is housed in the former Calvet wine cellars. The superb terrace overlooks the pool, spa and contemporary bar restaurant. The 97 rooms/suites are intimate, warm and cozy, reminders of the cosmopolitan dimension of a place at the crossroads of global cultures.

We traveled to Bordeaux from Paris, and thought the property was beautiful and the rooms were updated and spacious. It was a nice change from Paris. The staff was very welcoming and I had an exceptional experience with concierge that helped to secure dining reservations, set up Chateaux tastings with transportation, and recommend a boat rental in Arcachon. The local recommendations really made it a fantastic experience. The pool was nice, but we didn't get an opportunity to dine in the restaurant. We will return to Mondrian the next time we are in Bordeaux.

Booked this hotel for a one night stay after the end of a cruise. Cruise was great, but after two weeks with a small bathroom and shower, we were excited to get into the hotel. Pros: It’s clean, with very nice bedding and towels. Pleasant and responsive front desk staff. We disembarked from our ship at 9am and I was able to get in early for an additional 20 euros which was great. This allowed us to get settled, and not have to leave our luggage with concierge. Cons: It’s in a weird area, not close to anything except a few restaurants. There is a note in the room that says that you can call for a robe and slippers, but it does not state that there is a fee. I feel this should be complimentary. Also, there is a lovely restaurant with a view up top. But it was closed for a private event. So there were no options to get food in a Monday evening. No room service. So basically went to bed hungry as I was leaving early in the am for airport and don’t want to walk far or take transportation. No coffee or snacks available in morning either. I left at 6am.

GGuest UserSupernice and supergood hotel, marvelous room and central downtown location.
Normally i book rooms in the 100-150E range. I decided to go a bit more luxurious and i tremendously enjoyed it. Im an easy going traveler, i was i Bordeaux to assess architecture and urbanism projects. I rented a bike to go around the city.
The hotel staff is very naturel an friendly, no rush to empty your wallet but rather making sure you have a great time...
Best hotel experience i had i a lon time travelling the globe. Wholeheartedly recommended!!
Bordeaux is the best French City!
GGuyQuiet even in the middle of the pedestrian streets for both shops and restaurants, all in abundance and for all budgets but above all in the middle of historic places and very close to the long promenade along the Garonne with its Place de la Bourse and the old stone bridge of Bordeaux!
Breakfast buffet with great choices both hot and cold, breads and pastries, brioche and cakes, orange or lemon water, multiple fruit juices, and to top it off, cartridge coffees, coffee beans, teas…. and of course a tray of cannelés tradition of Bordeaux hospitality!!!
妙妙The hotel is outrageous in historical layout. Super location in city center close to all the best place. Lots of shopping options and best restaurants. near all the night activities. No need for taxi just walk along the main road for sightseeing. Close to convenient public transportation. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have lots of information about activities to do. Breakfast is wonderful and tasty! I recommend to any one visiting Bordeaux. I will return!
GGuest UserVery good spacious layout, and even came with a kitchenette, especially useful when staying on sun or public holiday where restaurants are not opened, like in my case. Great location and I can access tram B and A less than 100m away. I stayed for 5 nights, and the only issue I had was that the bed if on the loft, which has poor air circulation, so I kept waking up due to stuffiness and sometimes in sweat even though the main floor was a cool 18 degrees and outside is about 12 degrees. If they would install a fan in the loft that will help a lot. Otherwise, a great place to recommend!
杭杭The location is acceptable, in the central area of Bordeaux, 500 meters walk after getting off the airport bus, the gate entrance is on the side of the street, easy to find, arrive at more than 10 o'clock in the evening, there are many people at the entrance of the bar, and feel safe. The rooms are small, with good hygiene, comfortable bedding and average breakfast. The front desk was good, and the taxi was booked, a better experience.
RRUIMINGThe location is very good. There is a small lake next to the hotel, IKEA, supermarkets, shopping districts, restaurants, and the facilities are very good. The room size is good and the supporting facilities are complete. The service standard of the chain hotel and the standard of the buffet breakfast are relatively guaranteed. There are plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot, and guests can park for free. It is a 10-minute drive from the center of Bordeaux, which is worth recommending.
GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Great location - close to the train station and few steps from the tram stop. Good neighbourhood, walking around the church Sainte Croix is recommended. The room was very comfortable. Bathroom was of a good size too. It seems to be normal that toilet and bathrooms are separated in France. The hotel bar offers a good selection of wines. The receptionists were kind and helpful. They require to block 80 EUR upon arrival but then any drinks from the bar and the city tax are set off from this amount. Overall a very good hotel. I would recommend it.
Wonderful stay - the place has funky feel - everyone was so friendly and helpful. Location is great and the rooftop bar and restaurant was perfect and so welcome after a long day sightseeing to come back and have a drink before retiring. Would definitely go back.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in the city center, it is very convenient to go anywhere, the hotel is not very big, but the supplies are OK, clean and recommended. There are supermarkets downstairs.
