Hotel rooms are in a separate area from the reception and bar/restaurant, and rooms are rather cosy. Car parking is rather limited, but free if available. The breakfast is a la carte, and quite excellent, served in the dining room directly overlooking the harbour. Staff are exceptionally helpful.

This will be my third visit to this seafront restaurant & once again I was not at all disappointed. My lunchtime meal consisted of a plate of haddock, chips, & garden peas with plenty of bread & butter & a pot of tea. I am pleased to say that the fish was cooked to total perfection with a fine texture, & served with a more than adequate portion of chips & peas. An added bonus was that the position of the restaurant is directly facing the harbour, so whilst eating, customers have great views of the boats. Thank you to Caittie (hope I have spelt the name correctly) & colleagues for the delivery of a fantastic fish & chip dinner that was brought to my table within 10 min of ordering, in what I consider to be a highly recommendable restaurant. We will go back FOR SURE! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The location is fantastic (try for the Harbour view). The people are just lovely and the restaurant is amazing. The seafood is spectacular.

LOOK NO FURTHER - BOOK RIGHT NOW! Fab hotel and I just love the views out into the harbour, watching the boats and the tide ebb and flow. Worth paying for seaview room. Beware of winter opening hours and do let reception know that you will be arriving, especially on a Sunday. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Good, but could be so much better Great little place but lots of minor points which just stop it being exceptional. Check in fine but we were told restaurant closed at 7pm. Couldn’t confirm if that was doors closed or last orders though as no manager on site. We therefore booked for 6pm but people still rocked up and walked in at 7.15. A bit like the left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing. Evening meal, couldn’t fault quality but whilst menu not overly extensive, 3 items on there were not available which did annoy other diners. Breakfast, again , great tasting what we had but whilst good choice of mains, there was no fruit (fresh or tinned), no pastries, no yogurt. Room - very clean, all toiletries, coffees etc , water, towels for both of us there on check in. However , whilst requesting room to be cleaned on day 2 , bed’s not made, only 1 bottle of water replaced, both bath towels removed but one new clean one added, dirty coffee cups not cleaned or replaced. Didn’t spoil our overall stay but just numerous small points which stop it being 5*
