Best Hotels in Brunnthal, Germany

This hotel is quite a way out of Munich but it was easy to get to a metro and train station (very short walk past some construction). We had lovely big clean rooms and the best breakfasts of our holiday here! There was so much choice and even a very nice lady making fresh omelette in the morning. All the staff were friendly but it did seem that they were out to get money where possible, for example, umbrellas had to be hired and having paid to park in the small car park as guests we then found that there was a special offer for all weekend parking used by locals meaning that it was almost impossible to park safely. If you want big rooms, a great breakfast and don't mind a commute into munich then this is ideal.

We recently stayed at this hotel while we were visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. The hotel is out of the center of town so it takes a car ride to the nearest train station to catch a train to downtown Munich; but overall no more than 40 minutes to get to the center of town. There is onsite parking (no fee), as well as proximity to restaurants and other services (again- a car will be needed). Being on the outskirts of Munich the hotel is easy to locate and to get into and away from. The rooms are a bit smallish but overall were clean and adequate. A good daily breakfast was provided with fruit, cereals, pancakes and a few hot dishes. The service was hit and miss- especially at the front desk. We arrived late after a delayed flight and the desk clerk was waiting for us and got us into our room straight away and was very friendly. On another occasion we had been locked out of our room and the key deactivated- when we visited the desk the young lady barked at me “I don’t know you- we have no one by that name here- who are you”? She then stormed off leaving someone else to pick up the pieces…it turned out the reservation was in my wife’s name but the clerk clearly did not want to be bothered with us. This is a good hotel if you don’t want the hassle with negotiating the hassle of central Munich and is close to the main highway making for easy travel onwards.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Don't let the photos, high stars and several good reviews trick you, like they tricked my husband and I. Initially when we booked our room we expected a spacious and clean 1 + 1 room with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. But when we were at the reception, one of the staff members explained to us that we had gotten a completely different room because ”they don't give out rooms based on pictures” but rather instead have their own system of stages or levels and you don't even know which exact room you get when booking. They claim the one we booked was a tiny room that could barely fit my family of four and several luggages (we had been traveling overseas for a month).There wasn't even any space to walk between the beds or between the luggages, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I couldn't even close the door because our room was so small. The bathroom was infested with bugs on the ceiling and walls, the whole place smelled of obnoxiously strong perfume to mask the disgusting odor of meat previously cooked in the kitchen and throughout the whole ”stage”, and most bothersome of all, neither my family and I nor our luggages could fit in our small room. After explaining that we wouldn't be able to spend almost a week in this room, I spent over an hour trying to convince the people working at the reception to either give us our originally booked room or refund our money back and they said they couldn't do EITHER of them because the hotel was fully booked and since we paid online it wouldn't have been possible to give us our money back. What a scam! After a while of arguing, they finally agreed to let us stay one night in the room we paid for in the first place and refunded the rest of the money to us. My husband and I spent the rest of our day searching for a new hotel during the busiest time in Munich when every hotel was fully booked for the next few days. (In case you were wondering, we were able to find one that we loved for the rest of our vacation.) If our troubles only stopped there I wasn't going to take my time to write this review, but unfortunately the hotel staff and management had to disappoint me once again! The breakfast was not very good and the food was minimal, but more than that I felt like we were in the middle of a forest full of bees and flies, both outdoors and indoors. Not just one, but more than enough to prevent us from eating in peace. My kids kept screaming, and the jars of jam were full of bees. I informed a staff member and she brought back another jar in 5 minutes and I got some jam in time before it would be full of those bees again. If the doors of the hotel hadn't been open the whole time for them to come inside we wouldn't have had this problem. To make matters worse, my eldest daughter had been feeling sick for a few days and started feeling worse that morning, so her dad took her to get medical treatment leaving only me and my 8 year old daughter behind. Siamo stati in questo albergo per passare la notte soltanto, essendo stati a Monaco all’ Oktoberfest avevamo bisogno per passare la notte. Avendo programmato tutto, avevo visto che dalla festa facendo due semplici scambi tra metro e treno in mezz’ora sei lì, proprio davanti alla fermata. L’accoglienza è stata molto gentile, personale che parla italiano e quindi già questo credo segni un bel punto. La stanza molto easy, ma comunque pulita, bagno ottimo, un letto un tavolino per appoggiare i propri effetti , e poi Wi-Fi e tv. La colazione è possibile farla, noi non abbiamo potuto farla perché siamo dovuti scappare presto alle 7:30 perché avevamo il treno. Il prezzo a parere mio è un po’ caro anche se comunque il più economico, quelli in centro improponibili. Comunque tutto sommato rapporto qualità/prezzo nella norma, c’è di peggio a di più.

The hotel is located about 5km from the centre, but is very well communicated with a bus stop (53) right at the door that leads you close to or with metro and neighborhood connections. The hotel is modern and the reception and restaurant staff very friendly. You can buy transport tickets at the hotel. The rooms are a little small and to improve kitchens and heating. The furniture is present and well decorated. The cleaning is daily and correct. There are no channels in Spanish. He sleeps well because there is no noise. You have a LIDL 200m to buy. If you want to take something you need to go to the center, there is not much in the neighborhood. The hotel is very good and it is very good.

Disgraceful behaviour from Restaurant staff after receiving the wrong meals A certain waiter was too busy chatting up female guests rather than doing his job professionally Not only was our party of 6 swore at and disrespected from this waiter but also another party of local men who waited 45 minutes for drinks in a half empty bar while the waiter sat and chatted with guests The following evening we were refused service after complaining the night before Refused loudly in German for all to hear which was pretty embarrassing to say the least The rest of the staff were great and rooms comfy however these two incidents with this waiter and his bully boy security man who followed me into the toilets intimidating me completely ruined our first trip to Munich Am sure there will be several complaints added from other guests but if you come here eat and drink elsewhere

Achat hotel situated little away from the city center. Taxi will cost you approximately euro 100/- one way. Hotel is calm and situated in a calm area but close to super markets, restaurants and train station. Rooms are beautiful, nice view from the window, full of snow as I visited this place in winter. Hotel food comparatively expensive but overall it was a nice experience.

This is a lovely warm hotel. We arrived late due to rail strikes, which made transport to the hotel a pain. However, once we were checked in, we were straight up the the room which was toasty (really toasty!). Breakfast was a continental buffet style with plenty of everything and some of the items changed on a daily basis. The hotel bar was open on Saturday and Sunday, where their barman, Boris was extremely friendly, warm, polite and helpful. He also takes a keen interest in football. I would also like to give Filip and his team at reception a shout out as they were extremely helpful. For those who read the reviews saying they could not speak either English or German, we found this to be simply not true. Their English was fluent as was their German. We had wanted to come back out to Munich specifically to stay here again this year but unfortunately that will now have to wait until next year. If you want the u-bahn, it is a 2 minute walk from the hotel reception (turn left from the door, left again, cross at the lights and you are there).

I'm really conflicted about this hotel, in some ways it's a great hotel and in others not so much. I'll start with check in, I booked a ”Queen bed” which to me means bigger than double especially as there is an option for just a double. so had to pay to upgrade to a ”executive room” which had the bigger bed, so another €60 on to our bill, but was discounted from €90. room was big, bed was very big and very comfortable. had to ask for a kettle (had a coffee machine but no kettle) had a minibar so a fridge which the first room didn't have even tho website says a minibar. all rooms have balconies but no furniture out there so I had to ask for chairs, also dont think the balconies have been cleaned in a while, i left foot prints in the dust. bathroom was old and needs refurbishment, shower pressure is rubbish, water drains very slowly and bath has all gone rusty. our first room was right next to the second room and overlooked some car park but then right next to it is a factory and then behind that some excavation work is taking place, the 1st night all was quiet as it was Easter but the second night from 3.30am lorries with there reversing noises where going on and that night the factory noise went on till almost 10pm. this is not the hotels fault- but if booking a room I would ask for a different location for room. breakfast was beautiful, everything u would want, all presented lovely and u could have omlette made to order. we used the resturant the 1st night, the food was very nice but very expensive- but we later found out this is how Germany is. Husband used the gym- mini gym as they call it and it is mini but it kept him happy for an hour. pool is a added bonus but pictures make it look bigger than it is, Sadly it was far too cold for me to get in and the steam/sauna are only turned on at certain times and we missed the time slot but they both looked good sizes. all the staff we came across, from reception, to restaurant and breakfast staff and especially the cleaners were lovely, very polite and helpful if u have any questions or requests. we would stay here again if it was the original price for the larger bed and if we had a different room location.

Wie eigentlich alle mir bekannten B&B Hotels ist auch das Hotel München Messe simpel, zweckmäßig und dabei doch gut. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber absolut ausreichend für Städtereisen oder Messetrips, lediglich etwas mehr Stauraum wäre bei Aufenthalten die länger als 2 Nächte gehen wünschenswert. Ich lebe häufig aus dem Koffer. Das Frühstück ist gut und bietet eine ausreichende Auswahl, auffallend ist eine gewisse regionale Anpassung zB bei den Backwaren, so gab es in München Laugenbrötchen, die hab ich in Norddeutschland noch nie gehabt. Hier identifiziert sich das Hotel also mit der Umgebung. Die Lage ist ruhig, da nicht in Innenstadtnähe, relativ gut auch öffentlich zu erreichen, sofern man ein paar Schritte mehr laufen kann, allerdings ist Essen in direkter Umgebung etwas schwierig, es gibt einen netten Inder in direkter Nähe, viel mehr aber auch nicht.
