Good Experience

It's relatively close to the tram station and it floats on the Danube, so you won't get lost. The Danube is within walking distance from the Margaret Bridge, so at night you can see the illuminated Royal Palace from the bridge, which is very romantic.

Although it is a little far from the city center, it was a quiet and comfortable stay. The hotel was shaped like a ship, and the view from the rooms and restaurant was exactly like that of a ship, but there was no shaking and it looked like a normal building. Hot food was available for breakfast, and there were many types of bread, so I was very satisfied. There was also a plastic bottle of water in the room, which saved me the hassle of shopping. I would like to use it again.

The location is very central, there is a ferry on the Danube River. I would like to thank the friends who work there for their concern. Breakfast is sufficient. Meat is sufficient.

Arrived at the hotel which located near to st Margaret’s bridge on the Pest side. Staff were welcoming, room is basic, could have been cleaner with some attention to detail. Room ok, we were on the water side with view of the island, downside to this is you have all the party boats stopping alongside and they can see straight in! Rather noisy too but glad to say it stopped after 10.30pm. Breakfast good selection of hot and cold, fruit and pastries, drinks etc €10 pp if you haven’t got it included. There is no bar or restaurant, we put a sign out for our room to be cleaned and hoped for fresh towels and water, we got back and room had not been touched, reception did give us clean towels when asked. No hairdryer in room, there is body wash. All in all the outside areas could do with a bit of tlc, staff good and breakfast good.

They were extremely unwilling to help in the time crunch of departure. Namely, we were late for the transfer and asked for breakfast 20 minutes earlier (only for 3 fried eggs, nothing else - breakfast was already paid with the room). As they were unwilling to do this 20 minutes before the breakfast room opened, we left hungry, disappointed and reluctant. But I want to praise the receptionist David and the woman receptionist... who at least tried to arrange breakfast for us in the kitchen, unfortunately unsuccessfully.

The only reason I did not give this hotel outstanding is because there was not a bar or restaurant as advertised. Our room was tiny but cost and staff were pleasant. It was let down by lack of facilities, no restaurant (despite there being breakfast buffet every day) bar or tea/coffee in our room

I think it is hard to find a place at this price point in Budapest where you don’t need to share a bathroom that checks all the important marks - it was clean, quiet, had helpful staff, and is in a safe and vibrant neighborhood. Plus it’s cool to say you slept on the Danube river. The only negative was that it is a little outside the tourist areas and is about a half mile from a public transportation station that goes to the main part of town. So adds a little bit of extra walking to your already tired legs. Still though - very happy with this choice.

This may not be the most luxurious hotel in Budapest but we had a brilliant time there and it was a perfect base for exploring the Danube part of the city. The location by Margaret's Island and Margaret's bridge where you can catch the trams and buses etc was pretty central for us and from what we heard from a fellow guest is quieter than staying in city area. Bear in mind that you are staying on a boat so don't expect massive rooms if you go for the standard option. But they are more than adequate for a weekend break. The breakfast was absolutely fine and has a variety of food to set you up for the day. Great value for money and a great location. I would thoroughly recommend taking a gamble and staying on a boat on the Danube rather than staying in the middle of the city. And what a great place to have breakfast
