Great hotel, with a good buffet breakfast. Always someone there to let you in on late nights. Tram right at the door, and market on the corner. This place has everything you need, it's just not in the middle of town.

Has all your basic needs met, there were a few issues in my first room. Shower head was broken and the towels had holes, but they were very accommodating and I was able to move to a better w room.
Breakfast was good, the little sausages were my favourite!
The location is very convenient for what I had to get done, and a decent walking distance from the trains and bus stops.
Would stay again 😊

Stayed for 2 nights. On the first night, I found fine beetles on my bed. I found 3 beetles in the same night. I was not surprised by beetles, so I let it go, and I didn’t complain. At about 10 o’clock on the second day, it may be quarantined The guest went back to the room to take a shower, there was a little water pressure sound. After about 15 minutes, this time I went to complain. But the breakfast is good, and it's near the subway station.

We had a room without windows, actually there was a window but it looked into the hall. The breakfast was greasy and full of oil. So in the morning through that window we’d feel the smell of oil and eggs instead of fresh air. Beds were good and staff polite. It wasn’t awful but I would’t come here again.

I was robbed at this hotel by the garbage man who was in my room on his own the day the money disappeared. The hotel management attempted to hush everything up, I insisted on calling the police. The garbage man came up with a story that I had forgotten to close the front door in the morning and a stranger must have walked in. Unfortunately, the police in Hungary are very slow. While I was waiting for the results of the investigation the hotel management kept discussing my case and taunting me behind my back (not everyone knew that I understood Hungarian). Shortly after the incident another robbery happened. I have a feeling that the managers have a clue who is to blame, that’s why they were trying so hard to cover it up. The sum of money stolen was big enough for this person to end up in prison.

Quite a disappointing beginning to our Budapest trip was arriving here. The hotel is in quite a run-down area where lots of drunk/homeless people gather day and night in the street. The hotel itself is massively in need of updating, it is run down and in and in a poor state of repair. Beds were comfortable and the rooms are very warm. We found the bathrooms very clean although drainage from the shower was an issue and also 'drain smell'. The bedrooms were sadly not as clean as the bathrooms, with dust on surfaces, dust clumps on the floor and dirty footprints. The furniture has seen better days as its stained and chipped the same can be said for the decor. The fridge was smelly and very old. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room consisted of 2 glasses, 2 cups, a kettle, 1 mint teabag and 1 lemon. Breakfast was awful with limited choices and is not served for the full stated time. A short walk from the hotel you can find a metro station which is the best way to get around Budapest. There are also tram stops outside the hotel but it's not too far to walk to the centre. Please be careful walking at night though. There are several supermarkets in the area, a covered market and a lovely bakery if you did want to explore this area. Budapest was great but we would not return to this hotel or area.

Terrible location of the property: the hotel is located in a very peripheral street of the city, full of homeless people and unsavory people; the cleanliness of the streets is completely absent and it feels very uncomfortable. The reception wasn't the best. The shared bathroom had no key to lock the door, no soap, no toilet paper and to dry your hands there was a sponge towel available which was anything but hygienic. The style of the hotel is old and already from the reception you can perceive the lack of cleanliness. It is precisely because of all these characteristics that we chose to change hotels without even checking in (the only positive note: we were not charged any costs).

Hotel in a convenient location given its proximity to the center and the metro station. Very spartan environment, the cleanliness of the rooms, towels and a general modernization of the rooms need to be improved. The girl at reception was very kind and check-in was very quick

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a bus tour. The staff at the reception is not particularly friendly, but they will help in resolving issues. The building looks like a prison, with most of the windows opening onto an internal atrium. The room is relatively clean, there is a refrigerator, no hairdryer or shampoo. The room is relatively warm. The worst thing is breakfast, there is nothing special to eat there and it is tasteless: sliced sausage and cheese, sausages and stews, toast fried in batter, butter, jam, bread, juice, tea and coffee. There was also some kind of weathered pudding, we didn’t have enough eggs... The area is so-so, we didn’t see the categories of citizens described in earlier reviews, 5 minutes to the metro, 2 minutes to the tram, next to a Lidl store. Overall I do not recommend this hotel
