Vila Shanti Beach Front Hotel Sanur Reviews

Great Location, we like old school Balinese accommodation. Nice vibe, staff looked after our every whim. We left early, before breakfast, so they gave us a "breakfast box" each.

Location is excellent it is along main shopping and food street. The rear where pool and dining are just at the Sanur beachfront, 300m away is the new mall ICON BALI. Old and basic design for a resort hotel. Room is dim and bathroom is basic it doesn’t event have hooks for hanging cloth and bags. Breakfast spread is very poor considering the price of the room.

Staff are friendly and helpful. foodie the breakfast ..just ok.mOptions a bit limited. Service good. Easy and comfortable place to stay. Kinda loved the pool area.

Good for what you pay for. This is a very old school Balinese hotel. Only comment would be that breakfast cutlery at breakfast is in plastic. Why? Not great for the environment.

The staff at Vila Shanti were all very helpful and friendly. The room was simple but clean, the bed quite firm but comfortable enough. I requested softer pillows and they supplied them for me. They could do with having some extra things in the room like a bottle opener, safes and bins with lids in the bathrooms. They could also do with more loungers around the pool, although the shape of the pool area makes this a bit difficult to accomplish. People 'saving' their loungers for hours at a time was also quite frustrating and so the pool attendant should be monitoring this I feel. Aside from these minor things, the location is amazing, right in the middle of Sanur and right on the beach. The view of Mount Agung is breath taking. Overall, I am very happy with the value and service.

Excellent hotel, very tasty breakfasts, good location, but I would advise cleaning the beach of algae.

The location of the hotel is okay, close to the beach, but the facilities are old, really old

We've stayed here a number of times. The location services and crockery are fine. With the exception of the floor, the cottage is in need of renovation in our opinion. Breakfast is minimal with little variety. Other guests also complained about this.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms could do with an update but it is priced well for the area and if you want glitz you would need to pay more. The staff are lovely and the location is excellent. The pool is quite small but as the place is beachfront it was nice to use the beds on the beach. The sea in front of the hotel is nice and you don’t get hassled at all. The breakfast was fine. Basic, but again we didn’t pay the higher price for a huge choice. There is a wide variety of good eating places nearby both on the beach and the Main Street. We would return here. Sadly very disappointed with our stay. From the minute we arrived until we left there was little or no service and I felt extremely dis respected? We booked and payed for a superior ground floor room. Upon arrival, we were offered a 2nd floor room , whichwe declined. This was met with disapproval from the reception. I have mobility issues and could not manage the steep stairs! We were shown to a standard room which we quiried only to be shown a worse twin room option.Not what we booked or paid for. We took the first option reluctantly. The beds were extremely hard and only one pillow each. The aircon worked and the rooms were serviced daily by friendly staff. The grounds were lovely and well maintained and the Vilas were in a good position between the beach and main street. I can only decribe the breakfast and restaurant staff as poor, unfriendly and inefficient. Local food on offer unappetising. Fruit, yogurt and egg station o.k. Coffee terrible. Service, there was none, was terrible. Every day an issue, not solved quickly, no cups, no bowls , no milk forgotten eggs that were ordered. Not a great way to start each day, no smiles, chipped crockery, if tou were lucky enough to get any inthe first place.

We had a twin room upstairs with a balcony. The balcony runs along 4 rooms but each one is separated by a privacy wall. So we could choose to interact with the neighbors or not. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and decorated in a lovely Balinese style. We had access to the beach and sunloungers through the beautiful gardens and past the pool and restaurant. We were close to the centre of sanur for shopping, bars and restaurants but the grounds were lovely and quiet.
