Had a great stay at Ty Dre visting friends, spacious room, comfy bed, very clean room. Very close to local pubs and restaurants, breakfast wasn't included in my booking but was able to get breakfast in the morning at the reception at the black boy, Staff are lovely and really friendly.

This was my fourth stay at Ty Dre Town House, everything was excellent apart from a few things that got resolved. 1. When I arrived in my room there was no soap in the bathroom sink so in the evening I had to improvise. The morning after, the lady at reception, kindly gave me a bar of soap from the cupboard there. 2. During the second night the TV remote controls stopped working, so I phoned the hotel and the night receptionist kindly came to my room with fresh batteries and changed the batteries, at the time this didn't work so he called the night porter to my room to see if he could do anything. When he did come, the battery change had worked so I told him and he went back down and said thank you. I would like to say a great big thank you to the staff members that helped me. Broken heating stuck on full. The room was incredibly hot. Had the windows open to cool it and was woken at 5am by the seagulls! Engineer visited to 'fix it' but just left it broken in the off position. It couldn't be turned on! So some future guest is going to find it freezing cold. Very expensive room with loads of hassle was the outcome.

A really superb room. Room 72, extra large bed, bathroom enormous, stand alone bath, extra large show, everything far exceeded our expectation would definitely stay again, couldnt fault anything. even though on the high street it was lovely and quiet in the room.

Reception staff were lovely at the Black Boy Inn and pointed me in the right direction of Ty Dre Townhouse, which is just down the road. Very good location in the heart of Caernarfon. The room itself was nice and bright, however it was rundown. Shower did not drain. There were stains on the bedsheets which was not very appealing. No water came out the tap when I went to brush my teeth in the evening and the tap was spluttering.

It's associated to the Black Boy Inn, a 500 year old hotel/pub in the heart of Caernarfon. Ty Dre Townhouse is about a minute's walk away. Lovely atmosphere, the room was lovely, a huge bed, great breakfast and the people who work there were extremely helpful, especially at the reception desk.

Great location, SPOTLESSLY clean throughout & warm rooms. Bed very comfortable and large screen tv in room Staff all very pleasant, Dilwyn in particular was great, very friendly, courteous and made us laugh a lot. Made us feel at home. We have stayed here for a few years now and it never disappoints. I would highly recommend the Black boy to anyone. The breakfast is the absolute best too!

Enjoyed the hotel and the town. Very good friendly staff. Food better than average pub food. Hotel room a little dated now. Lack of staff for cleaning rooms and changing towels was a negative. Nothing was changed in three nights. I think for the cost this should have been done.
