Travelodge Caernarfon
3.8/541 Reviews
The hotel is warm and cheap. That's got the positives out of the way so let's move on. It must be hard to construct a hotel so devoid of character and charm. Access is on foot from a nearby car park and then a lift up to reception. This was staffed on arrival by a human being devoid of customer focus verging on rudeness. The room was adequate but nothing more. The surrounding buildings play havoc with phone and wi-fi signals requiring the purchase of 24 hours of WiFi for two devices. Tim Berners-Lee himself would have struggled to connect the second device - an issue readily acknowledged by the much nicer receptionist we spoke to at check-out. For what is a relatively new build, the rusting hand rail in the shower and the malfunctioning flush on the toilet does not bode well for the future. I regularly stay in Travelodges but this is one I will not return to on a future visit to Caernarfon
Premier Inn Caernarfon
4.6/542 Reviews
This Premier inn is a good place to stay. Premier can usually be relied upon to give a basic but good standard of room. The bed was comfortable as always and the room was clean and had all things which were necessary. My sister and I were expecting a twin room but had a double. This was ok and we didn’t request a different set up. Our cousin stayed in a separate room which would have been on a separate floor if we hadn’t asked for it to be changed. (The booking was for two rooms). The hotel was situated in a good location for a visit to Caernarfon and close to the town and castle. The worst thing about the stay was the lack of parking at the hotel. The carpark which was recommended was in an Asda carpark. It wasn’t too far away but when I returned to the car in the morning it had been “egged”. The staff at the hotel gave me some cloths to clean the mess which was very kind of them. I wouldn’t recommend the use of that carpark. There was another one slightly closer to the hotel which would have been better in my opinion.
Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia

we we were with a coach party, Crosskeys. and had a lovely time here, warm welcome, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. the rooms were spacious and clean and tidy and well looked after during our stay. and the views were good. the food for breakfast and dinner was good and plenty to choose from. the hotel itself was spotless, and nothing was any trouble to the staff to make our stay enjoyable. we did think the price for blackcurrant and water steep, at £1.75 a pint. we only paid 45p a pint in Scotland, we had a disabled room, but the toilet seat was low for my wife, and no grab handles in the shower, our only fault, but overall it was a lovely holiday from monday to friday. would love to go back there again and explore more of the area. stunning scenery.
The Lake View Hotel

I couldn’t say enough good about this property. We were welcomed by friendly hosts who quickly took our luggage to our rooms. The rooms were large and well appointed with lots of nice little upgrades. Everything was clean and fresh. The bathrooms were impeccable. The full cooked order breakfast was an added bonus. There were two lounges where one could rest and read or have a nice conversation. Coffees and teas were available at all hours of the day or night. we will be back again to enjoy this lovely property
The Celtic Royal Hotel
4.1/5104 Reviews
The hotel is ok if you book it for 3 people or less. I booked it for my family of 4 and the description on the booking site was different from what I had. Description on Trip.com clearly mentioned that I will have 1 double bed and 2 single beds, but 1 single bed finally changed to a sofa bed. I did discuss it with the concierge, and she said the hotel policy can arrange a sofa bed if 3 bed’s bedrooms are full. I did check again, I really didn’t find it on policy page and also room description. Lastly, the sofa bed, I actually don’t think it is a sofa bed. The sofa cannot be extended. The arm of the sofa and the back of the sofa are still there.
