Baw Beese Inn

Looks like no maintenance has been done since the 1960s. No decor, lots of rod noise, dirty shower mat. No internet offered, if it existed at all. Wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

room was musty old and dirty rusty radiators, toilet seat loose and needed screws tightened, water from faucets was milky bedding uncomfortable(pillows) Would not stay there again parking lot needs to be repaved (almost fell on the alligatored surface. Had to apologize to my wife for taking her to such a place. It ranks #1 as the worst place we've been to in our 76 years.

I guess for the price, you get what you pay for. That being said, I read on previous post the place was dated, I don't mind dated, but it was also dirty, the water smelled like sulfur. The curtains didn't completely cover the windows. there was a short in the nightstand lamp. the linens and towels seemed dated, as well as poorly patched/ caulked walls and trim. We reserved 2 nights, but after finding a baby cockroach on my pillow, we left immediately a night early. couldn't wait to get home to shower and wash everything, including our luggage.

My first stay Oct 23 was borderline. Oct '24, I will not stay here. We were greeted at 11:30pm to a room that smelled of cigarettes, a never cleaned A/C, polyester bedsheets that haven't been washed in a while. We were insulted to see a stick floor, a crumbling bathtub with mold, a toilet that was not flushed (seriously!), a sink that one would hesitate to put hands on. After a night w/o air circulation, we decided to leave. As I explained the situation to the manager's wife, a) there was no apology b) argued about charging me for one night and on refusing to do so said "we need something. $30?". The neighbor was checking out at the same time and he mentioned walking into the shower with live bugs and goop in the shower! Ugh.. This is definitely a third-world country experience and BTW, I am from the same country as the motel owners. There are lots of hotels that are cleaner in the country I came from and ashamed to call these people my kinsmen. This place needs to be fumigated and I will call Hillsdale's health department.

This is by far the worst motel room we have ever stayed at. If it had not been so late, and we had not been so tired we would have moved on. No bed bugs that we could see, but there were stink bugs. The bed was a mattress on a noisy metal box. The street noise continued all night long. The paint was peeling in the bathroom. The lighting was too dim to read by. The shower may have been clean but sure looked dirty. I guess coffee was available in the morning but the empty pot looked so dirty when we checked in I wasn't willing to try it. Not even a clock in the room. There was one old kitchen style chair that was so wobbling I wasn't sure it was safe to sit on. Window drapes were too long and hung over the hot baseboard heating. Kept turning down the thermostat and the room kept getting hotter. Finally turned the thermostat off. The baseboard heating units were coated with dust. Didn't try the AC unit, but the panel appeared broken. On the plus side, WIFI and cable TV worked.
