We stayed in a family apartment for 2 nights during July winter school holidays. There’s 2 adults and 2 teenagers so the bedding configurations was perfect - 1 Queen bed and 2 single beds (on a separate room). I booked directly with the hotel by calling them as I tried to book online but it kept asking me to book 2 rooms which didn’t make sense and the rate was cheaper directly over the phone with the hotel. Our room was on the third level but it’s ok theirs a lift for luggages. The main area had lounge (new and firm), queen bed, dining table for 4, kitchen, large TV and split Aircon/heater. The mattress of our bed was worn out as it was sagging badly in the centre. I raised this with reception at check out and she said she hasn’t had any complaints about the mattresses but will pass on my concern to management as she said all the mattresses was also changed when it was renovated a few years ago. We stayed in room 56 so if you don’t like saggy mattress request not to stay in this room. I would have rated our stay 5 rating but our mattress was a let down. The separate room had 2 singles beds (mattress was perfectly firm), tv and own split heater/aircon system. This room was good as my teenagers could have their own privacy. Bathroom was good, shower pressure was great. But they had a small gap on top of the window so it was freezing in the bathroom in winter! I understand they did this to prevent steam and mould forming in the bathroom but there’s already an exhaust fan which was doing it’s job so this made the bathroom too cold when door is closed. Hot water was plenty and never ran out when we all showered and washing the dishes. Kitchen amenities had the minimal requirements and was sufficient for cooking. Towels and beddings was high quality and I was surprised with the thick nice quality of the towels. It was even better some of the more nicer hotel we have stayed in the past. Eateries, woolies/Aldi was just around the corner and walking distance. Bought some fried chicken from Kingsley Chicken - that was yum. Our favourite restaurant is Lolo and Lola Restaurant at Watson (20 mins drive) - booking ahead is a must. While in Canberra the teenagers enjoyed the Segway Glide Ride and great timing Christmas in July (food truck etc) was near Questacon. We also did a day trip to Perisher - left the hotel at 6.30am and arrived just before 9am at Perisher. Request for later checkout was granted till 10.30am.. I think reception staff should be provided/wear uniform to look more professional. Oh yes we also could hear other rooms footsteps early in the morning even we were in the top level.. not sure if it was the room next to ours. I would stay here again but will ask for a room with better queen mattress lol.

One of the worst cases of theft, bullying, abuse and intimidation that I have ever experienced as a hotel guest. And I travel often (and many motels would give me glowing testimonials). The owners effectively stole 900 dollars from me by accepting my 8 night reservation, then bullying me out as soon as they saw my face. I only stayed for 2 nights. They never offered a refund or apologized for their hateful, condescending speech and unprofessional conduct/bullying. My crime? Apparently I drove a little too fast out of the car park (yup - seriously - they threatened to kick me out because of this) and I complained about prolonged noise by gossiping staff. When I was exhausted from work and needed to rest, they knocked on my door, and physically intimidated me, speaking to me like a child and criminal (not like an adult and long-term customer). Some of the abhorrent things that they said to my face: ”You think that your 1200 dollars matters? We are fully booked out for this weekend. I gave you a discount for that room! (by the way, at 150 per night, there was no microwave and I didn't sleep well on the too-soft mattresses and pillows, so not good value anyway)” ”This is a motel. People will make noise. If other guests want to talk, they are allowed to! (I was referring to prolonged noise - and many good motels consider this a valid concern).” After they had intimidated me, the female owner said, tauntingly, ”Do I need to call someone for you?” Hey owners - if my 1200 dollars isn't worth anything to you because you are fully booked out all the time, why don't you give me my money back? Many hotels consider me an outstanding guest - I am quiet, mind my own business and am financially sound. Like I countered to them: ”Have I done *****? No. Have I done alcohol? No. Have I painted the room? No.” They threatened to kick me out because they are domineering, controlling personalities who don't like it when clients have a point and defend themselves. I strongly advise against pretty women staying here - and don't book a week-long stay here, because they'll just make up an imaginary crime, bully you into leaving and not give a refund. The behaviour of the owner makes me even more disgusted and ashamed of this country. Bullying and abuse is not right.

My husband and I stayed here last week. I contacted them with my concerns before I wrote this but heard nothing. The bed was so firm/hard! that we both had trouble sleeping it was so uncomfortable and hurting our hips. There was an alleged quilt/doona on the bed which almost had some filling i.e. a casing that was virtually empty, so not at all warm. There was only one spare blanket in the cupboard. Asked the cleaner for another blanket next morning, and went shopping for a mattress topper to soften the bed. ( We had already paid for the following 4 nights. Sadly we won't be staying here next time we visit the area. Also the bbq advertised needs feeding dollars. Remote check in so nobody ever onsite for any problems.

Clean, friendly and well-organised. A lovely stay, peaceful surroundings. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin with 4 x teenagers plus 2 x adults. It was spacious and clean, and more modern than I was expecting. The pool and bbq areas were well-maintained - the heating in the camp kitchen was a plus! Will stay again.

4.4/5
Excellent
GGuest UserFrom the first moment you walk into the room, the musty smell hits you like a brick! The room we had was very small, but that didn’t bother us at all. It was the stagnant, stale air and the unmistakable smell of a very old hotel room, which once-upon-a-time was inhabited by smoking guests. I tried without success to open a window - I was desperate for some fresh air! On night two of our stay, after returning from a full day out exploring Canberra, I was astonished to see that housekeeping had replaced our towels, but not bothered to make the bed, empty the rubbish bin or vacuum the floor! This property is described as 4-star on the Best Western website, I have no idea how they are able to claim this rating! The breakfast selection can only be described as bare minimum, but the most disturbing thing about the breakfast “buffet” was how messy the entire area was! We found crumbs and pieces of rubbish scattered on each of the tables holding the food. Needless to say, we took a hard pass on the breakfast! The only positive I have to offer about our experience at this hotel is that the water pressure in the shower was very good.

青春仿佛因我爱你开始Nice hotel. The decoration is not luxurious but has everything. The design of the atrium and the sky is a bit like a miniature version of Jin Mao Hyatt. The living room is relatively small, and there is not much space to open the sofa bed, but it has its own kitchen and washing machine, which is very convenient for cooking. The bathroom is very big, but the downside is that the bathtub is not slip-resistant and slips easily. The bedroom is very quiet, the balcony glass sliding door is very thick, and the sound insulation is excellent. Parking is quite convenient (to be charged separately), the hotel has not many parking spaces, but you can park in the airport parking lot a step away.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself is clean, warm, and has a good service attitude. It has a large public area and the bed feels soft. Bicycles can be rented at the entrance of the hotel. I feel that Canberra is a very suitable city for cycling. The hotel is located in the administrative district where the Canberra Parliament Building is located, and it is relatively close to the Parliament Building (about 1km on foot?). The hotel room is equipped with disposable slippers, shampoo and shower gel, etc., but not equipped with toothbrush and toothpaste. However, the administrative area on the rest day is really deserted, and there are almost no pedestrians on the street (you can see a lot of people when visiting the Capitol, the National Library, the lake, etc.), and there are fewer options for eating near the hotel.

GGuest UserJust returned from a 2 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. Our room had 2 king size beds in two separate bedrooms both with televisions, bathroom, with shower/toilet and plenty of storage, lounge room, with lounge and 2 single seats, dining area with table and 2 seats, a washer/dryer combo and a well equipped kitchen with plenty of storage throughout the unit. Our dryer wouldn’t work and despite 2 people looking at it, no one could get it to dry. This was inconvenient as we had planned on being able to wash and dry clothes and towels. The TV in the bedroom with the window also didn’t work. We tried a different remote that turned it on but still said no signal. We advised reception on checkout and we’re told it would be passed on. As a regular Accor customer, I would have thought a discount might have been appropriate having pain $600 for two nights. Parking is also an addition $25/ day. Our wifi cut off in the morning before checkout time which I also found strange. Checkout was by 10am and at 630am, no wifi. The hotel is in a great location. There is no where to park and check in so I had to double park which was obviously not ideal. The lobby is also very small. The hotel was very clean and everyone we came into contact with was very helpful and friendly. We also didn’t get our room service, which again reception were advised about. The security thing you tap for entry to car park is on the passenger side which is difficult when you are in the car on your own! All these small issues aside, we had a great stay.

GGuest UserVery basic budget accommodation, just good enough for spending one night. I arrived late, there was one computer in the main entrance to check in, no signs indicating that it was the computer to check in and out. For the check out the drop off box for depositing the keycard is not signalled and small, the carpets on the G floor are dirty. The shared bathroom was clean, only 2 cubicles for shower and 2 for toilet . The room was clean. No kettle, mini fridge. The smart tv wasn’t really smart, there’s no way to make it work. Location was good, plenty of free car park.

The environment is very good, the front desk service of the first reception is also good. Proactively helped us solve many problems. And told us that we can check out at 2 pm, we can have more rest meetings the next day, so we have a conference call after the check-in day, but the door is knocking from 8:00 to 12:00 the next day. The attitude is extremely bad. I have been explaining to the front desk the next day that the hotel told us that we can check out at 2pm. The new front desk still asks me to pay another day's room rate. Spending money is a trivial matter, but the attitude determines my impression of the hotel. Many hotels in Australia have a very good service attitude, but this one is very disappointing.

GGuest UserI've stayed in some dodgy places but none compared to this motel. Booked 3 rooms for a work trip to Canberra thinking we were going to arrive at the Taj Mahal, weren't we sadly mistaken. We arrived in one room to find the ”cleaner” had forgotten to pop the toilet seat back on the toilet (which wasn't clean by the way) no biggie, but the rooms were FILTHY! My college actually cleaned all the grime and black stuff off the coffee table with a cloth. The lounge was full of crumbs, ash and cigarette filters. Also stained with some questionable white stuff. The room had a dampness to it. That was only 1 room! The others were full of mould in the showers, around the provided body washes in the shower and the thickest soap scum left on the soap holder and a bathroom light that flickered like you were at some dodge rave party. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR KETTLES! My work mates kettle was full of black mould and grime..it wasn't stained that colour as she could wipe it easily with her finger. The carpets were atrocious in all rooms, damp and smelly, stained with white patches and also the rooms had a thick odour to it. I am not one to worry about where i sleep, as long as i have a clean bed, but even that was questionable. We stayed one night and couldn't deal with it any longer (getting locked in the bathroom and being locked OUT of the bathroom was the final straw) we booked somewhere else where we enjoyed the rest of our trip. Points to the Manager who was lovely, and clearly embarrassed as she had apparently just started working there. But seriously, the level of cleanliness was a joke. Half a star!!!!!

GGuest UserGood hotel. The room was a reasonable size considering that this is a budget hotel, the ensuite toilet and shower are small but adequate. It is a bit out of town but fine if you have a car (probably public transport is available nearby, I did not check). They don't have a restaurant but you can buy a frozen meal from reception and heat it in a microwave if you like (continental breakfast can also be bought, I didn't try it).
