This was my second time to The Sol. I discovered it when the tourism fair was on and our usual resort was closed so we decided to try the Sol. We were pleasantly surprised by everything and I returned with a girlfriend on the 9th for a week. As a frequent visitor to Cuba, shortages, water issues and the odd maintenance problem does not worry me. The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable, perhaps a bit dated, but overall perfect and the maid service was top notch. There were no food shortages which surprised me as other resorts close by were running out of basics like eggs and bread. The bread is baked fresh daily so carb lovers will be happy haha. There was never a shortage of pop, rum or wine the entire week. There was one day when we had no water for a few hours but again nothing out of the ordinary for Cuba. The staff is exceptional. I never witnessed anyone without a smile and most go the extra mile to accommodate any requests. The animation team is energetic and try to engage the guests, even when there aren’t many, not an easy task. The weather wasn’t the best, most days were too windy to enjoy the fabulous beach but the pool is very clean and there were plenty of chairs. If you are looking for a smaller authentic resort The Sol is the place. It is quieter than the bigger resorts but makes up for it with it’s staff. Already looking forward to the next trip there.

I was at the hotel during the Christmas holidays and it was an unforgettable experience. The dinner was incredible and delicious. An applause to the chef. I really enjoyed the activities and shows that the entertainment team organized. Congratulations to Rogelio and Alcides, the dance troupe was impressive. Greetings to Keila and Arlety, they are very friendly and fun. Congratulations to Sergio, Mary and Orestes for preparing excellent drinks. I hope to return soon.

Amazing place to relax. Beaches are breathtaking. Staff is very friendly and do their best to make your stay memorable - thank you Blanca and Julio for amazing capuccinos; Amauli, Janica for your superb service and Claudia for a great customer care. You made my stay so enjoyable. Surrounding nature is beautiful. The resort would benefit from some touch ups and lift ups. The food was okay. Spice it up!!

The people at this resort are truly family. Mikael cook, yordani entertainment, Erick buffet, Joel beach bar, yulka lobby bar, Blanca lobby bar, yanitzia buffet, amaury buffet, offrey lobby bar, jenni chef and the list goes on. I love that everything is very close within walking distance. 10 out of 10 would come back here.

This was my 5th time to this resort and had another amazing time! Accommodations were great and everything was very clean and well maintained. Everything worked well in our room and we had hot water all the time. No power outages at all. Food was great and many healthy choices every day. Thanks to the snack bar cooks for fantastic pizzas and snacks! Special thank you to the buffet dinner cook at the grill who always cooked my daughter’s meat to perfection and Amaury for always checking in to make sure we were good! The beach was amazing and special thanks to Jean Paul for getting us off of our chairs! Great drinks at beach bar by Alfredo! The pool area was well maintained and lots of activities during our stay! The animation team is the best I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had an amazing time! Don’t forget to tip them too! A special thanks to Adrian, Andre, DJ Odani and Lamai who made our trip unforgettable! There are many others to mention that made our trip amazing and memorable - too many to mention but will note Primo, Blanca and Carlos! Hope to return again in the winter!

Fantastic stay! The resort itself could use more updates but it's Cuba. Rooms very clean, maid was amazing! Always hot water,.good pressure and ac was adequate given power issues . The food was plentiful if you are a healthy eater. They did not have tomatoes but they are not in season. Lobster was awesome, came with a bottle of bubbly too! Beach is what we go for, beautiful as always, many windy and wavy days but one special day the water was like glass, crystal clear and calm. The staff is what makes this resort fantastic! It is imperative you tip as they work very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible within their means. Apologies upfront, too many names to remember.. but all were great! From front desk (sorry don't know all the names) to bell boys, Ariel and Henri.. truly sweethearts. Our morning savior Blanca in lobby bar with our cappuccino's with honey 😁🤨as well as the other bar staff (sorry dont know all the names). Late afternoon Carlito and Sergio kept us going with spanish coffees! Evening shift amazing as well even if the bar was busy, they always made sure we were taken care of. Alfredo beach bar..best mojitos!! Primo is da man! Kept us hydrated for water and is a great dancer! Buffet as usual smiles and always waiting for you with a table. Customer service excellent..thank you Dysrani (hope it's correct) for satisfying our many requests. Animation Team and Dancers were truly amazing!! Always fun and engaged as much as you liked. Very respectful and a pleasure to be around and always checking in on us 🥰 They made our vacation fun and enjoyable from the salsa dance lessons on the beach, pool, bingo, disco and the shows were all fantastic! "Roger"..you rock the team! Special Thanks to Adrian, Andres, Jean Paul, DJ Time - Odani, Lemai, DJ Oso- Yordan Arleti, Keili, Ysmani (MC) , Yaciel, Yampol, Luis and Ernesto! Beautiful send off for Daniela on last night in the disco! Soo much fun! Thank you & love you all and hope to see you in March 2025! Hope I didn't forget anyone...you were all amazing!! PS Next time I will learn more Spanish and more names!

This is my third trip to Cuba. I am looking at it as a luxury camping vacation. Anything else will leave you disappointed. You have to be aware that all the hotels try hard to satisfy their customers but not everything to do so is always immediately available. You can not get upset about your toilet tank not filling with water, the sink not draining and the shower leaking, a power failure and no water at all. things will eventually get fixed providing the needed parts are available. Focus instead on the beautiful beach and warm turquoise water, the sunshine, warm breeze and friendly staff. A lot of Cubans live with 3 hour rotating power outages and 90% of food goes to the hotels for the tourists. At the buffet it is wise to sample things instead of heaping your plate, not liking it and then it gets wasted. I liked that the staff was allowed to eat there , too towards the end of buffet time. Also tipping generously in the restaurant, the bars and your room cleaner can make your stay just that little bit more comfortable. It is wise to bring hand sanitizer and have a roll of toilet paper handy when you leave the hotel for an excursion.

It saddens me to have to make a negative review about this hotel. The hotel is nice the staff is amazing!! The food was actually not bad. Good a la cartes fries and pizza. But unfortunately the AC units are no good.. I suffered and had to go to the Doctors and missed my excursions because I was so dehydrated ,dizzy and could not sleep. First I was eaten alive at the airport, never seen it so bad!! Wear jeans and long sleeves if u land at night in the rain. Then after being 2 hrs late due to bad weather I was put into a room that the AC was confirmed broken the next day after I sweated and could not sleep all night. It was cooler outside than in my room.. next day I waited around for a new room. This one still no good. I had to move my bed across the room under the ac for hardly no ac.. again 3rd room same thing. Could not let the maid in or the bit of ac would go out the door and I'd have to start all over again. Blocking under the door and the bathroom off to conserve the ac.. last day again..no ac because there was no water in the entire resort. Other guests said thier ac worked good ground floor by the pool. The resorts been renovated but it's very old.. I would recommend making sure you request they turn the ac on 2days before you get there!!!! The staff are the best! Sabiel who lent me a fan saved my life I'm sure.. Yanitza in the buffet such a wonderful lady to see every morning!! Henry the bell boy is so nice..and Dayron who tried his best to help fix my issue Must go to the private beach on the left side of resort. Nice pool water fall and fountains

My husband and I stayed here for week last summer and had such a wonderful time we came back this summer for another 2 weeks. Sol Cayo Coco is a lovely as we remembered, even more so due to the improvement and renovations that have been done. Our room was clean, spacious and peaceful with a fantastic view !! Food was plentiful and fresh. Beach was our favourite place, plenty of space and beauty. We were so happy to see the familiar friendly faces we remembered from last year who made our stay feel like we were family. As well as the new friends we made this stay, our vacation felt very special. Thank you Sol Cayo Coco. We will back next summer !! Definitely recommend staying, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a reasonably good vacation - we’ve been to Cuba 15+ times and we know how the situation is. Sol CC has a great beach, many palapas and chairs available during our stay - no need to reserve in early morning… The staff is what makes the vacation so enjoyable… Thanks Alfredo (beach bar) for your kindness and great service. Transat Vacation website has not made it clear on their package - at time of booking - the ranchón/beach restaurant is closed indefinitely. It has been closed since mid April and this was a real disappointment. The Sol CC Customer Service mentioned to us that it may reopen only in 2025. No renovations are underway as of mid-august. Another disappointment was that the buffet (almost the only option for breakfast/lunch) was not managed properly by Sol CC. Locals are also guests during the months of July and August - which is fine - however, the buffet is instantly taken over by locals in the morning/lunch/dinner… meat and other special offerings are basically gone within minutes - hard to get something decent as when it gets replenished it’s ravaged again… Not impressed how SOL CC management handles this - we did mention this to Customer Service. The Beach Grill (by the beach bar) was a disappointment as well for lunch - not even worth talking about it. However, the dinner A la Carte Restaurant was just a joy - thanks to Ulises and Claudia that made the experience so enjoyable. The lobby bar had excellent service through out our stay - thanks to Sergio, Orestes, Juvenal and Blanca.
