Hotels with Bars in Chengdu

Dorsett Chengdu proved to be a wonderful base for my trip. Great location steps from the metro, comfortable room, and most importantly great service. Especially from 孙明 (Lucas) - he spoke good English and helped me greatly during my stay. Staff like him are what made the property feel special.

Unmatched location for business or pleasure. A major upgrade should put the Crowne Plaza back at the top of Chengdu 5* hotels. Excellent club sandwich in 24hr room service and comprehensive and delicious breakfast with Sichuan and Western breakfast buffet. Staff are friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable and a little Chinese goes a long way for the mostly English speaking staff.

Very convenient location, since the hotel is in the center of Chengdu. Also a special thanks for the front desk receptionist Rachel. Who have been very kind and willing to help.

Excellent service and attendant. Stayed in club suite has the privilege butler Mr Stanley to attend to all my needs and care when I was unwell during my stays. Was very impressed by hotel management engaging with such refined hospitality work staffs here. Once again want to thanks Mr Stanley, you are fantastic!

Comment 3: Sungold Hotel I recently stayed at the Sungold Hotel and had a truly romantic experience. The room was beautifully decorated with a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic getaway. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Chengdu, making it easy to explore the city and visit nearby attractions. The staff at the Sungold Hotel were also very helpful and attentive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend the Sungold Hotel for couples looking for a romantic and convenient place to stay in Chengdu.

Great location, very close to Chunxi road metro line 2 station, about 6 minutes by foot after getting off E1 exit. There are both up and down escalators so convenient for those traveling with heavy luggage. Fruit sellers are everywhere and there's a fruit market directly downstairs from the hostel. The room was clean and housekeeping came by to clean and give 2 bottles of water every day. If you hang the do not disturb sign on the door, they will leave the bottles outside your door. The room was in a nice tatami styled layout with a comfortable bed and a window you can open for fresh air. Also, there is an elevator, reception is on level 3. Hostel is locates within walking distance from the Jin River. The biggest issue I had was the ventilation. The room itself was a non-smoking room but the smell of cigarette smoke will permeate the room through the vents in the bathroom if someone was smoking. I would break out in coughs over the smoke smell in the afternoons and wake up choking at night if someone had smoked. I was on the fourth floor (top floor) and above me would have been the rooftop, so not sure if the cigarette smell was coming from above or below.

We loved this beautiful hotel — fantastic location close to both western and Chinese food; super helpful and accommodating staff assisted us with tickets and information; quiet, beautiful, and spacious rooms; fabulous pool and steam room. This is the perfect place to relax in Chengdu for a few days.
