The room was very clean

Pros: - Good value when compared to same hotel in Virginia Beach - Close to I-64 and I-64 - Less than 2 minute drive to lots of shops and restaurants. - Cleanliness - Good hot breakfast - There's a sofabed in case you need it - Plenty of parking spaces - There's a divider between bedroom and the sofabed Cons: - Freeway noises - Indoor pool was closed, no reason displayed - Door to back parking lot was always unlocked and people can walk straight to the elevator - White floors of elevators always look dirty. Carpets or darker floor tiles will help. - Annoying green light from thermostat.

The General Manager (Savannah) and the Front Office Supervisor (Sharon) are two of the most caring people I have ever encountered at a Marriott property. I have been a loyal Marriott customer for 15 years. I have stayed at a number of properties, but this property will forever stand out to me. Some properties have lost their ”human” side of things and treat customers as $$$, however, this property treats people with compassion and care. My father became ill while staying at this property and needed an ambulance. Within minutes they contacted an ambulance and got him to the hospital right away. They even went as far as trying to reach out to family members to inform them of what was happening. Although they were sold out that night, they were able to secure another room for him at a sister property so that he would not be without a room, once he was released. They were able to gather all his items from the room and place them in a safe area and were very friendly to the family members that came to help. The property itself is very quiet and clean. They even provide fresh baked cookies at the desk for guest! Such a great touch!! Definitely would return for not only the hotel accommodations but for also the welcoming staff! Consider this a piece of relaxation during your travels!

It was a pleasant surprise to see a fully equipped kitchenette with high-quality utensils. Very clean and spacious room. Only suggestion for the hotel management is, please provide at-least 3 chairs; for a double queen bed suite, 2 chairs are not sufficient. The noises from the lobby and hall can be heard from the rooms which can disturb your sleep. The management should take care of this. There was no toothpaste in the bathroom. For tea, coffee etc, one have to ask at the front desk. Hotel does not provide any info on travel guide/sight-seeing. One have to plan ahead and get all the info about sight-seeing themselves.

Norris, along with other servers attended to our large party with attentive service. The food was also very tasty and enjoyable. . My wife and I stayed here before a few years back and our impression from our last stay was enough to make us book again. We were kind of disappointed this time around. The location is excellent …right next door to TASTE Cafe and DECENT PEOPLE Bar, and its within a few minutes drive to other local restaurants/ stores. Its easily accessible from main roads and highways. Abundant parking and the area felt safe. The front desk staff were friendly, but we found they tended to hang in the back office and only came out if you stood at the desk for a few minutes. They have a small breakfast set up that you can choose to pay for. We didnt eat there so cant speak to what was available. The room was where the place gets down-scored. It shows its wear and there is nothing particularly special about the room itself. We found the bed comfortable enough but the sheets seemed worn and scratchy, and there was a large noticeable hole in the top sheet. The furniture (nightstands, dresser, chair and footstool) also showed wear. The curtain had multiple holes in it. The bathroom had peeling paint on the door frame. The bathroom lighting fixtures were probably the worst aspect…both were rusted, one of them had a bulb out, and the other was hanging out from the wall. In general, the quality of the room was not what we typically associate with this brand or price point. It was more akin to a Comfort Inn or Red Roof Inn room. While we are unlikely to stay here again, you could do much worse. But …you could also probably do better.
