My husband and I, a retired couple who have been Marriott Platinum members for decades, normally enjoy staying at the host of Marriott properties. This particular stay, however, was absolutely dreadful (and this is the only negative review I've given to this suite of hotels). In fact, the two night stay turned into one because we were so grossed out over the uncleanliness and untidiness, and disappointed at what didn't work. The first issue was the toilet...it ran constantly and apparently leaked b/c there was a consistent pool of water along the base. We could only flush it by lifting the lid and manually pushing down the flap. We found three dirty athletic socks along the perimeter of the bed, and the room simply was dirty. The wi-fi didn't work, the ice machines were out of commission (not one worked!), the pool was closed, and the smell of the property wreaked of disinfectant (what smells were management trying to cover up?). My husband and I were so freaked out that we barely slept...at 3 a.m. on the first night we decided it was best to check out asap even though that set us up for an incredibly challenging day, so my husband went out to speak to the hotel clerk in order to give proper notice. After explaining that we were checking out in a few hours (a day early), my husband started to explain the plethora of problems. The clerk quickly stopped him and said that she was only the night representative and I should email the management (she offered the address). When we officially checked out a few hours later, the new clerk said she was aware of the problems and to expect some type of compensation from management. None was given, which I didn't expect, but it did add insult to injury. There a many Marriott properties in this area and we've stayed at a half-dozen with no issue. I recommend going with the alternative properties, an AirB&B, or VRBO...if you stay here, BEWARE. Our stay was June 14, 2022.
