Chiang Mai Airport Chiang Mai|0.92km from Araya Thai Massage
Wow… where do I even begin. Firstly the hotel exteriors are beautiful. The pool is serene, the designs are lovely and traditional Thai style. The rooms are spacious with a large bed. Very quiet and great sleep even though we were jet lagged. Breakfast is superb, lots of choices even for vegetarians and vegans like us. The location is superb, less than 10 minutes from the airport, right by the old city, walking distance to a couple of night markets. The best part of our stay was the Loy Krathong festivities. We were lucky to be there during the period this year. In the morning the hotel would provide free Krathong making activities with delicious Thai snacks and desserts and in the evening provided food, music, the lucky draw, lantern decorations, and all the Loy Krathong activities. Where we felt the service went above and beyond was during this evening party. We had come to Chiang mai to see our Thai side of our family including our 90 year old grandma who is in a wheelchair. She’s been sick for a while. She as well as our two other family members were allowed to participate and eat and dance for free of charge even though they didn’t have to do that. Furthermore the staff made sure that she had a great time - we haven’t seen yai (Thai word for grandma) this happy in so long especially since she got sick. She was dancing and smiling in the wheelchair! The lady who MC’d as well as the security guard went above and beyond. And all the staff there (there were tens of them!) even waved in a line as her car left. The other members of the family said that we must come back here next year for Loy Krathong so that’s what we will do. Thank you again to all the staff. You made the stay very special, made my family feel emotional.

Most of the hardware facilities are good, but the trash cans in the room and toilet are too small. The overall atmosphere is great, clean and comfortable. Breakfast tastes good too. The pool is also great. The free bicycle rental service is also very good, but it is recommended to pay more attention to the brake problem. The brakes of some bicycles feel a bit loose. The location is very good, quiet and quiet. The only thing that made us uncomfortable was the attitude of the staff. I had paid all the housing payments online in advance, but I was asked to pay an additional deposit of 2,000 baht on site, which shocked us. I have stayed in so many hotels and I have never been asked to pay a deposit. Although the staff was still very polite, what we felt was insincerity and even a bit contemptuous. The staff said they were afraid that we would damage the facilities in the room, so they needed to pay a security deposit, which would be returned to us after we checked out. We still gave us 2,000 yuan, but it caused us inconvenience because we had to go directly to the airport to leave Thailand after checking out, so returning us 2,000 yuan in cash after checking out was very troublesome for us and took up time on our trip. in budget. So the next day we told the staff that please return the cash to us. We can temporarily swipe the card instead. However, when we checked out on the last day, they said that we could not swipe the money back. We need to withhold the two thousand yuan and wait for 14 days. If there is no problem It will be brushed back. We don’t understand again here. If cash can be refunded immediately, why do you have to wait 14 days to swipe a card? We understand that tourists from a certain country may have caused losses to the hotel, which led to your reaction, but it is really uncomfortable for us to face the guests with a suspicious or even contemptuous attitude. Although the staff was very polite and tried their best when explaining Keep smiling, but we can feel the insincerity and discrimination underneath the smile.

The Entaneer Poshtel

I was so excited to stay at The Entaneer Poshtel given all the glowing reviews of Pappy and his hospitality. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience here as a solo female traveler and ultimately left early due to discomfort. When I arrived, Pappy asked me to join a group outing to go out partying that night. I asked who was going, and he told me it was a mix of men and women. It turned out to be only men. While usually not worrisome, a couple of the men started making uncomfortable remarks as they zeroed in on me as the only woman in the group . They kept asking how much I drank, how my alcohol tolerance was (if I got drunk easily), if I liked to party, and talked about “massages with happy endings”. I felt unsafe as the only woman in this group of men. I kept asking if the women were coming and Pappy kept saying they would, but they never arrived and so I made an excuse and left the group early. When I went back to the hostel, I could barely sleep because I felt nervous about the comments that had been made to me, and I was in a single room. I ultimately decided to check out the next day and find another place to stay. I told Pappy that I was leaving because some guests made me feel very uncomfortable. I even went so far as to ask him to tell anyone who asked where I went that I was meeting friends, so that they wouldn’t know I was traveling alone. Rather than be concerned (like asking if I was okay, getting more details on what happened), Pappy immediately became defensive (“was it something I did? There’s no refund”). He was not understanding at all and I left feeling like it was my fault to want to go. I returned my keycard and made it clear I wasn’t coming back, and ultimately left a lot of money on the table to get myself out of this situation. I understand Pappy is a very welcoming host that loves to bring people together. I would urge him to be more thoughtful about dynamics - especially when they involve young, solo, female travelers. I know others have had great experiences and I was unlucky because of the other guests at this time, but this is something Pappy should be more attuned to. If a solo female traveler tells a hostel owner that others are making them feel uncomfortable, they should feel supported. I’ve stayed at plenty of hostels around the world (all over South America, Europe, and Asia) but have never left one early due to feeling this uncomfortable or nervous.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location, a short stroll to the village wall and old town. The rooms were very nice although I would have preferred a sage in the room rather Han having to request access at reception every time I needed my iPad and whilst the breakfast was very nice the selection was limited, otherwise I would have rated 5 stars

The people who live in the hotel are basically people from European and American countries. Anyway, I have n’t seen Chinese in the three days I lived. But it still feels good, the owner and hotel staff and even the guests are very friendly. Although my English is poor, but with the help of translation software, I can barely communicate. The hotel environment is also OK, but the surrounding environment is not as good as a regular hotel. . All in all, staying in this shop is quite a good experience. .

The breakfast is very rich and delicious, the service is very good, and there are few people in the pool. The location is close to the ancient city, and it is very convenient to travel. Since we are going to Pai County, we put our luggage in this hotel for two days. It is free, and we met for two consecutive days The owner of the hotel gave him some small suggestions, such as the sound insulation of the hotel can be better, etc. He also responded that he will readjust in the future :))

The room was clean and big enough, without being modern, but why would we need modern all the time. The garden is very nice and so close from the center, it is a pleasure to have a break in the garden (especially considering the price) As for the service, the situation is not as positive. It was written ”airport shuttle” on the add, but when I asked for it, I was told ”take a taxi”. I also asked to book a taxi for me on the check out, but again, it was not possible. I don’t know if the staff was not clear with English or not helpful.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. Near the Chiang Mai gate, the small yard is well maintained. There are a few big trees, various birds singing in the morning, a few squirrels jumping on the trees, and a turtle dove comes to the table every day to find food... The rooms and toilets are very simple, and the soundproofing of the wooden house is not good. After all, the price is also very cheap. You can't ask for too high...
