There is a 7-Eleven and a pharmacy, so you don't have to worry about not having food to eat. There is also a parking lot and a small swimming pool. As this was my first time in Chiang Mai and I didn't know the area, I chose this affordable small hotel near Chiang Mai Gate.
It was in a great location, close to both the Saturday Market and the Sunday Market, and you can also walk around the old town.
When I was taking the songthaew back, I just said "Prat Sin Mai" so there was no problem.
I had seen many reviews saying that insects would get in through the gap under the room door, so I brought mosquito coils and extra towels to cover the gap.
Having hot water available at all times is an important factor when choosing a hotel in Thailand, and Golden Bell got perfect marks!
I would like to stay at this hotel again when I visit Chiang Mai again.

Happy with our 2 nights stay. Location is ideal, being close to the west gate while tucked in a quiet alley. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a bit plain.
