Hotels near Wat Muang Mang in Chiang Mai

I stayed at Villa Lantara for a week and loved it. Great location overlooking the Old City moat, close to bars and restaurants - Wua Lai Walking Street with its fabulous and cheap street food is a couple of minutes walk away - and 5 minutes walk away from Loi Kroh Road where you’ll find even more places to eat and drink and have a massage. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I stayed in one of their suites which are very large and comfortable with huge balconies looking over Bumrung Buri Road. Some of the most beautiful temples in Chiang Mai are also nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Winner Inn for 3 nights while part of a tour of 18 people. Check in went quickly and smooth. The front end staff was not overly friendly. There was an on site restaurant that was only ever open for breakfast. But there was always people in there. They did let us bring out own food to eat in there one night as long as we cleaned up out whole mess. Which was fine we would have never left a mess for someone else to clean up. The elevator was small but did fit about 4 guest and their suitcases. There was also a very tall, steep set of stairs. The floors all squeak very loudly. Didn't really bother us until late at night when the party crowds were coming back. The walls were also paper thin so you heard everything and I mean everything. We had a very large weird shape room. The fridge was not plugged in and had nothing in it. The tv was there not plugged in but did not work well. The bed was very soft (I prefer to firm over to plush) but still slept good. The what should have been a fitted sheet did not cover the bed (see pictures). We called the front desk they said we had to come get a new one or we had to switch hotels (really good service hey). We went and picked it up and it had a huge hole in it. Called again, did the same thing. This time it was another double sheet so we just put it on so it covered the end that was sticking out. The room was very basic and plain. It was actually very clean minus the one dead bug that was on the floor. The bathroom looked like it had seem better days. The shower was nothing special. The walls looked dirty but I think it is because they didn't use the proper grout for being in a wet space. Good luck getting warm water. It took me 15mins to get it warm. The toilet seat isn't the right style for the type of toilet it is (see pictures). No shampoo or conditioner. AC worked great. It is in an okay location. It is on a quiet back alley. If I were to come back to Chiang Mai I would look for something in an even better location. There was one restaurant on the street and the food was horrible. Even walking to the Main Street a few blocks away didn't really seem to have many restaurants. We started ordering from GrabFood (Transportation grab app) which got us some amazing food from all over the town. There was a 7-11 on the Main Street where we got snacks one night and shampoo & conditioner. Best of luck if you decide to stay here.

Regarding the hotel being named with an “airport”, it is still a bit far from the airport (at least it’s 30 min on foot), so you’re gonna need to rely on a cab which is not the most affordable mode of transportation. The hotel room is decent with good toiletries. You need to give 500 Baht deposit, though. Also, there are two B2 buildings - one deluxe & and standard - make sure you tell the taxi driver correctly.

First of all, he has enough staff to serve. It is a newly opened hotel. Each service staff is cute, kind, amenities. In the lobby, drinking water, orange juice, panch water, even instant noodles are available 24 hours a day. In the bedroom there will be a hair dryer. There is a shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, hair cap, small butt to meet daily needs. It is a hotel that preserves ​ the environment with a good atmosphere ​ good decoration, very pleasant. The price of stay is reasonable.

Out of the lobby you can walk to the Night Bazaar immediately. About 7 minutes walk to the Food Market where there's live music performances. Monday to Friday are the best nights while Sunday most of the restaurants are closed. About 30 minutes walk from the right side of the lobby you can reach the Old Ciity Wall. It is romantic with the night lighting. There's quite a selection of western, Thai and Chinese food from the hotel breakfast buffet.

My friend and I are models and we escaped Europe and fled from the COVID 19 carnage. We have been to Chiang Mai before (modelling) and loved it, the north of Thailand was fairly untouched by COVID and due to being 40 degrees each day we had decided that it had to be the destination. We booked this hotel with a swimming pool and aircon which would help keep our skin soft. We have been here for 2 months now and the staff could not have been more helpful for us, they have protected us from crazy fans and paparazzi with their lives. Unsure on the future here most hotels closed but Mandala remained open for us and some others. So it wasnt purely because we are both models, they did it out the goodness of their hearts. The pool is also very secluded which is great because we are models and need our privacy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all our modelling friends. MANDALA LOVING

Good accommodation meets the standard of B2 hotels chain, the room is not small but not big in the room decorated with typical B2 bare cement, which gives a rather dark, dark and dim mood. Wua Lai Walking Street, which is a short walk from the hotel, in the air-conditioned room, reasonably cool, the shower water flows strongly. The room condition is not very clean, which needs to be improved in this. Another thing is that the parking lot is very little, if you have to bring your own car, it is not recommended, even if it is a day with a walking street as well, and you don't have to find a parking space at all. Overall, the service is good, although the room is a bit dirty, but it is forgiven. The staff are smiling and willing to give The service of the night security guards, good-natured, polite and arranged for parking, if there is a chance, they will go back to stay again, but want to improve the cleanliness to be better.

The staff in all sections are extremely professional, especially front desk team and room service team. Room was nice and I would like to suggesting, please consider to put arms chairs or small sofa at the big window. Bed is comfortable good quality of materials, bathroom is very good with shower and big bathtub good quality of products. Additionally room is clean and tidy. Price with the service qualities is perfect valuable.

This hostel is strategically located in the ancient city, close to Tha Pae Gate and Chiang Mai Gate, and very close to the Saturday Night Market and Sunday Night Market. It is cleaned every day, the air conditioning is powerful, and it is very quiet at night.
