We loved our double suite room, the balcony with outstanding views, the pool, the staff and the food were all without fault. But it is the opportunity to spend time with the elephants that make this resort absolutely wonderful and provides an experience of a life time. To witness the relationship between the elephants and their mahoots is fascinating and is a must for any elephant lover! The area is a beautiful place to visit with easy access from Chang Rai airport.

The resort is located in a tranquil and beautiful area in the golden triangle with views of both Myanmar and Laos from the room and restaurant. The food served is excellent and has a good selection of local and international to appeal to many. Walking with elephant is a real highlight of the activity. The elephants are gentle, and each has their own unique personality making it fun to watch them in their natural habitat. The resort has done extremely well in their efforts to rescue these elephants and provide them with a respectable living environment. We can see elephants from our room at the grassland without the keepers and can feel the elephants are relaxed as they keep swishing their ears and tails. This resort offers a very unique and unforgettable holiday experience. Strongly recommended to try it out!

From the moment we were picked up and driven to the river for our entry via a longboat, the experience at Anantara Golden Triangle was beyond exceptional. Our hotel guide, CC, made us feel welcome right away, sharing interesting stories along the way and offering us a private tour of the Golden Triangle, rich with history and culture. Upon arriving at the dock, we were greeted by Arnaud and two majestic elephants. It was such a heartwarming moment, and we even shared a coconut with these gentle giants—something I’ll never forget! Afterward, we were taken to our stunning upgraded suite, where we had the pleasure of enjoying all the experiences the resort offers. The highlight was staying in the unique bubble tent, surrounded by elephants—such an unforgettable, close-to-nature experience. To celebrate my 60th birthday, the hotel went above and beyond. Not only did they organize a beautiful meal on the deck, but they also surprised me with a cake and festive decorations in the tent. It made the occasion feel even more special. The attention to detail from all the staff was unmatched—everyone was so attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The treetop dining experience for breakfast at sunrise was another highlight. We were treated to a private history lesson from the head chef, followed by a beautiful prayer. It was a peaceful and spiritual start to our day. Our cooking class with PJ was one of the best highlights of our stay. He was an incredible teacher, making everything so fun and easy to follow, and we ended up preparing several delicious dishes in no time. His sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, we had a fantastic motorbike tour of the countryside with our hotel guides. They took us on an unforgettable journey through the stunning northern Thai landscape, offering insightful commentary along the way. The beauty of the countryside was breathtaking, and the guides ensured we had an enriching and safe experience. Every moment at Anantara Golden Triangle felt like a dream, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect 60th birthday celebration. Four days of pure perfection—thank you to all the wonderful staff for making it an experience we’ll treasure forever

My stay at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort was extraordinary. Nestled in a 160-acre bamboo forest, the resort offers stunning views of the Myanmar and Laos borders. Bonding with elephants, enjoying treetop dining, and exploring ancient ruins made the trip memorable. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the jungle-inspired spa treatments were incredibly relaxing. A perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion. Highly recommended!

I traveled 2 weeks in Thailand and this was by far the best experience. The hotel, staff and elephant experience was outstanding. I cannot say enough about how amazing this was!

If you're looking for a true Thai experience with elegance surrounding you the entire stay, this is THE place. I am an avid world traveler and spent 4 days, 3 nights here and have already booked a return in January 2025. The website photos and descriptions are all 100% accurate and the level of service among the staff is fantastic. I was looking for an elephant experience where you could get up close and interact with them in an ethical way and this resort provided that. You can tell that these rescue elephants are happy and well cared for (including the mahout who live on the property in their own village). Walking with Giants has to be their best activity and provides that ultimate experience. But I also enjoyed the Scomadi motorcycle experience tooling around the area and the local tour which exceeded my expectations. As I was on the all inclusive plan, I was more daring than usual and tried so many new Thai dishes with the help of the wonderful dining staff. I didn't try the special dining room but checked out the menu and the venue and will definitely give it a go upon my next visit. But even with the amazing setting and facilities, it was the staff that took it to the next higher level. You'll undoubtedly meet Khun Tuk or Khun CC before or during your visit and they will insure you have the most wonderful stay. Kudos to them and the rest of the staff.
