Hotels in Chongqing West Railway Station/Baguocheng, Chongqing

Booked a deluxe suite for my business trip, and the space was absolutely huge! The bathroom was so spacious, you could practically use it as a dance studio. I loved how the outlet panel lights automatically turn off after two presses, and with the curtains drawn, the room is pitch black – you can't see your hand in front of your face, which is perfect. The front desk service was incredibly warm and helpful. They even offer complimentary laundry and drying service if you hang your dirty clothes on the door. My only minor complaint is the lack of a proper desk with an accessible power outlet for working on a laptop.

Our overall stay was fantastic! The room was spotless and well-equipped, and the soundproofing was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist, which made us feel very well taken care of. The environment was quiet and comfortable, and the value for money was outstanding. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before our early morning train out of Chongqing West station. We were delighted with the cleanliness, modern room, and a breakfast that has great variety. The staff were pleasant and very welcoming and always smiling. As we had a early morning train we appreciated that they start breakfast at 7am and a didi ride to the station takes less than 10 minutes. There is a new shopping centre only 10 minute walk away. Turn right out of the front of the hotel walk down and there is a plaza that has an underground walkway to the mall so you don't have to cross the busy street. There are a good number of restaurants on the 4th floor to choose from.

The front desk staff were excellent – very patient and helpful. The hotel itself is also quite new. However, some of the hotel facilities aren't very practical. The hairdryer is underpowered; it takes ages to dry your hair because the airflow is so weak. Also, the sink drains incredibly slowly, and connecting to the Wi-Fi isn't as straightforward as it could be.

We chose this hotel because it was on the main square of Chongqing West Station and we needed to stay close to the station because we were taking an early train the next morning. Check-in was not easy to find (see entrance photo on the first picture) and the entrance of the hotel is on the second picture, but the name of the hotel is not indicated on the sign. Leave the key at the place if check-in. We had a very good night's sleep.

Overall, the hotel was fantastic. The staff were very helpful when we asked them any questions. The rooms are very clean and very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with numerous items to choose from. The location to the Chongqing West train station is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel or there is a shuttle that will take you there. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort, food and location.

I had checked in with a short delay but it was a good apartment, you enter the apartment with a code for the duration of your stay which is perfect. The amenities are good enough for a solo traveler and it’s not too far from the closest subway station, about 10 minutes walk up a hill. There’s a fridge and washing machine with good views of the city, I would recommend it if you’re on a budget and want to save money. The amenities are pretty good for the price, I would probably stay there again

The room was generally clean and spacious, and the central air conditioning temperature was very comfortable. The environment was quiet and not noisy. The bedding was soft, so I slept very well at night. All facilities were complete, and the details were well thought out. It felt very reassuring to stay here. Plus, they upgraded my room when there was availability, and the front desk staff had a great attitude. Highly recommended!

I chose this newer Ji Hotel near Chongqing West Railway Station for its convenience, as I needed to catch a high-speed train early the next morning. The hotel's location isn't easy to find; you have to take a detour to get there, and the building houses multiple hotels, making it hard to distinguish. This is a franchised location, and its overall standards are lower than regular Ji Hotel branches. Many of the standard toiletries found at other Ji Hotels were scaled back. The room had an unpleasant odor, indicating poor ventilation and cleaning. The breakfast selection was also very basic. On the bright side, the front desk staff were warm, friendly, and pleasant to interact with. Given my strict need to catch a high-speed train, I valued the advantage of being close to the station, and despite the mediocre hardware experience, I didn't switch to another hotel. Overall, it's only suitable for a temporary stopover; there's significant room for improvement in the everyday stay experience.
