The large windows provided an uninterrupted view of the river and cityscape, allowing me to enjoy the stunning scenery from the comfort of my own space. The onsite restaurant promised a western breakfast; to be honest I had my doubts but my wonderful fiancé convinced me to book the hotel with the breakfast option included, however their idea of a western breakfast was toast, overcooked eggs, stale doughnuts and the rest you’ll refer to the pictures. While the dirty carpeted hallway was a minor disappointment, it did not detract significantly from our overall enjoyment of the hotel. With its unbeatable location, comfortable rooms, and stunning views, Roosevelt remains a top choice for travelers seeking a memorable stay in the heart of the Chongching. I would gladly return for another visit, hopeful that the cleanliness of the hallway and the breakfast matches the caliber of the rest of the hotel in the future.

The hotel is part of the scenic spot and is busiest from 5-11pm, so taxis are a bit reluctant to drop off at the hotel because of road closures at that time. This is mentioned when booking the hotel so it is expected. In saying that, staying at the hotel means you don't have to travel anywhere to be in the middle of all the action. The place had rhythm and pulse all day and most of the night. The hotel itself is an adventure to explore but be warned there are stairs, stairs and more stairs. Room is spacious and the room rate is a great deal considering that the hotel is looked exceptionally new compared to Hyatte Regency hotel that I stayed in Jiangbei which is priced much higher. Fashion outlet is within its proximity for those who like to shop and my mum really enjoyed the shopping convenience. We tried the Chinese restaurant and was given a discount for being IHG member even though I booked the hotel under trip.com The indoor pool is ideal for children and my kids really love it.

You can also take the subway to Jiefangbei in about ten minutes. My first day I checked in late and ordered takeout at night. The lady at the front desk also helped bring it to the room. The hotel is located on Zhongshan 4th Road which is a very fancy-looking road. It’s very peaceful and quiet, and safe even late at night. The room looked pretty much like in the pictures, maybe just a little old. The room was clean though. Room service was also really good, they replaced the towels, slippers, toothbrush etc. daily. 琴琴 was very warm and hospitable as well, she even offered free bottled water when checking out. If I’m ever in Chongqing again, I’ll definitely stay here again.
