"I originally wanted to stay in Byron Bay, but when I made a reservation a month in advance, the Thursday room I thought was good value for money was fully booked, and the price was not cheap, so I chose the quiet town of Balina nearby and stayed at the Manor Hotel in a historic building. This is an old house with 12 rooms and five stars. Although there are not many rooms and the yard is not big, the hotel service and the layout of the room are exquisite.
Location: Not far from the central city, the hotel has a parking lot for free. It takes only three to five minutes to drive to the center of the city, the lake, and the sea. It is about half an hour's walk away. I think it is very convenient. For a small town, there are many restaurants and bars on the central street, some of which are open until quite late.
Facilities: sufficient parking spaces, a small swimming pool, a back garden, a restaurant, and breakfast. Although it is a simple Western meal, the variety is OK, mainly because the relatively fresh ingredients show the meticulous management. We booked a king + a single room, which is in the middle of the second floor. It has its own balcony area. You can sit on the balcony and listen to the birds singing, watch the sunset, and drink a cup of tea.
Surroundings: There is a large sports field and green space one block behind the hotel. If you are willing to walk a little further, you can walk to the river. There is a long riverside trail. We arrived in the afternoon and walked along the trail to fully enjoy the tranquility and peace of the town. There is a WWS supermarket and a cafe, restaurant and bar in the center of the town."
"Cost-effective, environment is good, there are ovens available in the yard, the boss and the wife are very good.
Very quiet facilities are not new but clean up. They stayed for a night and walked by the lake after dinner, which was not bad."
"The price is not high, a typical motel, suitable for self-driving choice of station.
Location: 30 minutes drive from Byron Bay;
2. Facilities: The decoration is old, but does not affect the use;
3. Others: There is a small town a few minutes drive away, there is a big supermarket, there is a restaurant by the water to watch the sunset super beautiful."
"Was a little set back to arrive and find the place locked up even though it was before closing time
When we found a staff member, she pointed out the the keys were in the Locked pickup box, and that we hadn't provided a contact number so she couldn't let us know the combination to access the box - luckily she hadn't left the premises but she was on her way out.
Bed comfortable, room tidy but not really worth $200 a night"
"A very decent hotel for solo business travel - nice, clean rooms and good facilities. location on the waterfront alsop a plus. During my stay the restaurant was under renovation however, so had to leave the hotel for breakfast - although ample options recommended by the front counter staff.
Overall a positive and comfortable experience."
"We stayed at this motel for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very responsive, even though we checked in a bit late, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a good stay and we would be happy to stay here again."
"The hotel is on the side of the main road, the only thing is a bit noisy. The rest is very good, the reception is very warm, the room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the parking is convenient. There is still a short distance from the sea."
"Had a great stay here, only had one night in between travelling but the service was great , super friendly. The room was clean and cozy. A TV with Netflix topped it all off :)"
"A very enjoyable stay - good old fashioned service 😀"
