"Everything else is fine except for some security concerns.
I stayed for 2 nights. On the first night, there were strangers opened my room and immediately left while we were in the room. I immediately called reception to clarify this, and the staff assured me that only my key cards are the working key cards in the system. Didn't want the hassle to repack everything and change place, we continue to settle however we had to be extra cautious and vigilant afterwards, making sure all valuable stuff are locked in safe, taking videos of the room before we leave the hotel for our activities. I do not suffer any losses during my stay.
Also, before my stay, I received a WhatsApp phising message with all my personal and booking details outlined in the message and asking for my credit card information. I didn't provide any card information and subsequently confirmed with the hotel that this was a phishing attempt.
Facilities are fine, and stay was pleasant except for security concerns. I will not come back again due to the security concern."
"The location is quite convenient, but the cleanliness is just average, and breakfast is simple. There's a supermarket, pharmacy, and bus stop right outside. Bus route 10 goes directly to Zurich Main Station and the airport, which is really handy."
"We stayed at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel by Fassbind from 5/21/25 - 5/24/25 (3 nights). We are a family of 3 adults and booked 1 room that has (3) twin beds. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was clean and surprisingly roomy. The only problem, there's no AC (Europe hotels for most part don't have air-conditioning). We opened the window and let cooler air to come in. I am sure it's a lot less comfortable in the summer due to the heat.
The most enjoyable part were the staff at the front desk. Shout out to Yosie, Katia and Martina. These ladies were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Mr. Fassbind, should give these ladies a 8% raise.
The price for the room was also ”reasonable” for Zürich (~ $400/night). Being able to have 3 people in one room is a bonus. Most hotels will show ”sold out” when trying to book 1 room for 3 people.
I really had a very positive experience at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel in Zürich and can highly recommend it. I definitely would stay here again if the opportunity arises."
"I am truly grateful for the staff's consideration in accommodating my late check-in. The breakfast was also very delicious. Although the hotel is close to the airport, there is some noise from planes, but compared to other international airports, it is relatively quiet and the frequency of noise is low. I also appreciate the beverage service provided."
"1. The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a 2-minute walk from the train station: turn left, then left again, and cross the road.
2. The hotel breakfast is fantastic, which is rare for Europe. Everyone takes a banana on their way out after breakfast, it's pretty much a given, and no one bats an eye. 😂
3. The room is spacious enough for two people. We were a family of three, and they added an extra small bed for us.
4. The hotel facilities, decor, and service attitude are all very good.
5. Check-out is at 11 AM.
Aside from being a bit pricey, everything else was perfect. We stayed during the October holiday, 3 people, including breakfast, at 4500 per night. Breakfast is definitely a must-have, as eating out could be even more expensive. Food, trains, and accommodation are all expensive in Switzerland."
"I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I needed. The restaurant offered outstanding breakfast buffet. The location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. Overall, a truly enjoyable stay that exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!"
"Right outside the hotel, there's a tram stop, which makes getting around super convenient. Even though some online reviews said it's not right in the city center, the excellent transport links mean it doesn't take long to reach Zurich main station. Plus, for this price, staying in such a luxurious hotel is an absolute steal – why would you even consider paying more to stay in an older place in the city center?"
"Hotel is good, convenient to access by Tram, One disappointment was the cleaning lady opened the door even though we are inside the room resting. I don’t know how they can do it. Even the door was locked. On the second stay i got another room where door lock was not functioning, so check for door safety"
"A standard chain hotel with rich breakfast, in line with the usual standards of Holliday Inn, warm service, large enough room, clean and tidy linens, moderately soft and hard beds, no odor in the bathroom, although the room has been renovated for a long time, the facilities are well maintained and the comfort is good.
I stayed in this hotel in 2011. Although it is a bit far from the city, the surrounding facilities are very modern. There is a main road in front of the door, which feels like living in a development zone. When I stayed this time, the road was being repaired in front of the hotel, and the surrounding environment felt rather shabby, like living in a construction site dormitory.
There is bus No. 11, which can go directly to the city center 200m away from the hotel. The journey takes about 30 minutes. You can buy a day ticket for Zone 1 on the machine at the bus station (the round-trip fare is the same as the day ticket), and you can get a bus map at the front desk, which is convenient for travel.
The hotel parking fee is CHF24/day, probably because the hotel occupancy rate is not very high, there are many empty parking spaces, and parking is very convenient."
"Pretty convenient at the central part of Zurich.
Amenities are limited;
If you need hot water , you need to go to lobby to retrieve as there no hot water flask etc.
Other than which, everything was quite ok."

GGuest UserAffordable hotel in decent neighbourhood. It’s 15min walk from Zurich HBF. Sink basin is located inside the room instead of bathroom. Room floor can be get wet , if you are not too careful. Air conditioning is not there, but fan is provided.
YYee11Hotel Glockenhof Zurich offers Switzerland charm and modern comfort, making it one of the top choice for leisure and business trip on visiting Zurich. Situated in the heart of the Zurich city, it provides good access to Zurich's main attractions, shopping areas, and near to the Zurich Main Station transportation.
The attentive staffs greeted with warm hospitality, and are always willing to assist with any requests.
The hotel's elegant decorated rooms provide a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city.
This hotel places emphasis on healthy sleep, hence they have worked with a Swiss family company, Roviva for the bedding (there’s a small card information on the benefits of roviva bed provided). The room also comes with a pair of arm chairs and coffee table and amenities, including free Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine and movable flat screen TV. Lastly they have also provided an umbrella and grocery tote bag in case you need it which was very thoughtful on guests needs.
The breakfast buffet comes after booking the room (optional), offering a wide selection of fresh fruits and delicious hams, bread and yogurt options to start the day.
All in all, my family and I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel.
GGuest UserHotel room was clean and modern.
Customer service needs a lot of improvement, particularly a receptionist called Natasha.
After collecting our luggages from the storage, I proceeded to asked her for the hotel room key as we have yet to check in. She then said ”she wouldn't know anything as I did not provide any details to her”. As a front desk staff, I would think it is part of your responsibility to maybe ask?
On another occasion, I asked her if it was okay to get something delivered to the hotel tomorrow as I forgot something and needed it urgently. Her respond was ”Isn't it too late now that I ask her?” The look on her face was a look of annoyance.
I told her I could cancel it if it wasn't allowed. Eventually, my item was not delivered as she probably did not cascade the information to the staff on duty the next day.
Would appreciate if she could respond nicely, especially when you're in the service line.
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with racism?? I've observed that she was very friendly and accomodate a guest of a different race whom asked her for a favour.
If you'd like consistently good service, I'd suggest put your money elsewhere. The accomodation doesn't come cheap as well.
GGuest UserThank you for your kindness
We stayed at this hotel for the first day in Switzerland and It was a perfect choice
They greeted us with a gentle smile, with free upgraded room and all day they treated us very kindly, giving us extra towels and keeping our keys
Especially, the next day I was so sleepy that I couldn't go down to have breakfast, so my husband went there by himself, but the manager offered him to take my breakfast to our room , so I could enjoy as well
It was a perfect their generosity and their bread as breakfast was amazing, I love it!
Your hotel makes us love Switzerland more and more
and I highly recommend this hotel to you as a good start of your journey!
WWilson SamWe had a terrible experience on the second night of the stay:
We went out for city tour in the morning and when we come back to the room in the afternoon, our room is like being robbed, 3 out of 4 suitcases are missing, the bathroom is only half way clean, balcony door left open, most clothes hanging in the wardrobe are missing. I called front office immediately and i have been told that housekeeping had found the door of wardrobe is broken and has a risk of falling, so for safety reason, therefore, they have transferred our suitcases to the new room.
so here are the question:
1. Why there are only half of my belongings are being transferred to the new room? You either transferred all my belongings to the new room, but not just half of it, it is so scary when you back to your room which it is like a crime scene!
2. Is it normal for a luxury hotel to touch guest's personal belonging without permission of the guest?
3. If the hotel find it a safety issue inside the room, why do they still let the guest go into the room? That kind of put the guest in a dangerous environment that may get injured!
4. Have the hotel ever tried to contact the guest, by phone/email of such incident had happened in the room? or worst case, to stop me to get in to the room, when i passed by front desk before get back to the room? none of it had been done
In short, this is not acceptable for any hotel, not talking about Ameron is a luxury brand, the hotel has poor risk management, this is my first time using this brand and I don't think there will be a second chance, terrible experience and even on the checked out date, no one care to ask how was my stay.
GGuest UserNo kettle, no fridge. 15 min away from the central station. Attached to Novotel hotel, it’s very strange. Very small bathroom. Staff are nice
HHarmonickFine for a business traveler. For couples...eh. Walls are pretty thin as stated. The ”lounge” is just a room on the 9th floor with a TV and some games. There's no deadbolt on the door. That being said, the sunrise corner room gets unbeatable views!
Also, classic European bathroom where water just gets... everywhere when showering. So it's solid for a night in Zurich but not sure I could recommend it for a week of travel or if you're looking for something romantic.
PPhoebearound 10 mins walk from ZurichHB easy to walk to two big luggage, hotel provide strong air-con which is good under a hot weather.
the microwave oven is easy to use and we made ourselves a lovely dinner
beddings are very good and soft
luggage lockers are all full when I arrived (around 13pm) we put it in the room (not in the locker) very unsecured as the don't guarantee the safety of the luggage ( have a memo sticked on the wall)
self check in is good but too rigid, i tried to checkin the room at 15:00 but still need to wait for the hotel to send the confirmation message to checkin the room .
few street behind the hotel is a bit complex has stripping club and bar

Good
AAngelinchinaThis hostel is clean and conveniently located, close to the main touristic attractions and the main train station. Shared bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The room is comfortable.
However - the hostel is just next door to a bar, so it’s very noisy until the bar closes (on a Friday night is 2AM). checkout time is at 10AM, which is not only unusual but very inconvenient.
I won’t be staying in this hotel when I return to Zurich
Sstw2566Good location, easy access by bus from zurich HB. Well equipped with amenities which you can cook simple dishes.
No kettle in the room is a little bit inconvenient. And my room is near the road, so it's noisy for cars passing and sometimes men talking outside.
