— Your mountain home, at the foot of the snow mountains —"
"We got the panoramic room on the 4th floor, and the view is really nice, but FYI, the bottom half of the view is the building across the street, which isn't that pretty. During the time we went, in late March, it was really cold - they did turn on the heating, which was nice, and the bed did have heaters, and they gave extra blankets - but the floor was really cold, which is understandable. Unfortunately, when we went, we were unable to see the Snow Mountain Meili as it was cloudy in the evening and snowing really hard in the morning. They have a rooftop deck from which you can look out and see the mountain, which is nice so you don't have to go down to the observation platform down the street to see the sunrise."
"The owners were all very nice, the bedding was very clean, and the room had an electric blanket. When I went to see the moonlit mountain peaks that night, one of the owners saw me and told me to watch out for cars and be careful. He also told me to call him later if I was scared, and he would come pick me up. However, I'm super independent and strong, so I went and came back by myself. Hahaha, but I was still very touched!
The next day, the owner drove us to see the sunrise over the mountain peaks, even though it was less than 1 kilometer away.
After we got back, the owner gave us breakfast, but I didn't eat much because of my schedule. The owner gave me a little bit of everything so I could try a variety of dishes. Every owner was very kind, always smiling, and looked very gentle. I highly recommend them! Their food is delicious, all freshly made, and very affordable."
"Location is really perfect for this family run guesthouse. It’s right at the front of the feilaisi viewing point so it’s really a strategic location. There are plenty of restaurants in the area including the hotel lobby having a sichuan restaurant. Actually there is not really a lobby here, just a combined restaurant cashier and front desk manned by a person. We watched the golden sunrise at the rooftop end of December 2025, make sure to be there early to get the best spot. The room itself is very clean. There is an oxygen concentrator machine in the room. The shower area however do not have much clothes hooks at all."
"This hotel truly excels with its thoughtful details and superb service. The oxygen concentrator was a lifesaver, especially given the altitude. Its location right next to the Feilai Temple parking lot is incredibly convenient for bus travelers – you're practically at the hotel the moment you step off. What's more, the viewing platform is just a five-minute walk away! It's definitely a great choice when traveling with kids. I didn't get a chance to photograph the room, but rest assured, it was spotless, well-kept, and incredibly comfortable."
"The room decor was pretty standard but clean and tidy. However, the hotel's view was absolutely stunning; I was completely awestruck by the snow-capped mountains the moment I opened the window. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too! They were enthusiastic and provided very prompt service! Highly recommend!! If you're coming to Feilai Temple to see the 'golden mountains in the sun,' this is definitely an excellent choice."
"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again."
"I chose this place because it's close to the village entrance, and I'm really happy with my decision. The room was generally quite clean, came with a foot bath tub and a shoe brush, and the shower was spacious. The bed was very soft and comfortable. Being a wooden structure, some noise is inevitable, but it generally quieted down after 10 PM. The front desk offers a fascia gun and hiking poles. From the platform right outside the door, you can see Shennü Peak. For breakfast, they serve rice noodles. The guy at the front desk was super nice; on our last day, we had to leave very early, and he even packed us some snacks for the road!"
"The semi-view room that I originally booked was full, but the landlady upgraded me to a full-view room. The viewing angle is super good, facing the snow-capped mountains, and there is a terrace next to the room. You can directly see the snow-capped mountains. The room is clean and tidy, and the service attitude is also very good. I will stay here next time. I will choose this one, it’s great! Moreover, the room has floor heating, so it is not cold at night. It is also very close to Feilai Temple Observation Deck, only about four or five minutes' walk. It has good reviews and good reviews👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"
"This hotel is highly recommended! First and foremost, the owner provided exceptional service. They immediately helped us with parking upon arrival, showing truly thoughtful and attentive hospitality. Secondly, the hotel was impeccably clean, with spotless sheets and duvet covers. It also offers excellent value for money. I'd definitely suggest any friends visiting the area book a stay here. Absolutely recommend! 👍👍"

This is my absolute favorite hotel during my trip to China. The design is truly beautiful and full of cultural charm, with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains - especially at sunrise. I really fell in love with the atmosphere here: cozy, calm, modern yet deeply rooted in local culture. It felt like a true vacation home, the perfect place to unwind after long days of traveling. I could see the mountains right from my balcony, but the best view is from the coffee area on the 4th floor. I also got to try several traditional activities during my stay, which made the experience even more memorable. The food was delicious - both breakfast and dinner - and despite the cold weather, the room stayed warm and incredibly comfortable. The hotel has everything you could possibly need, so you don’t even have to step outside. I'll definitely come back someday just for a relaxing getaway!

For guests traveling with groups of friends, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
Daluzhiye Wunongding was the guesthouse we were most looking forward to on this trip, and one of the few pet-friendly guesthouses in Wunongding. Even with high expectations, the experience still had many delightful surprises.
First and foremost, the service deserves immense praise. From the moment we parked the car, every request we made, and even those we hadn't thought of, was met. From room service to dining and daily necessities, our three-day, two-night stay was perfect. I've stayed at many guesthouses and hotels that claim to offer butler service, and this one is arguably among the best. Our butler, 'Chuntian' (Spring), provided meticulous care, so outstanding she could be nominated for 'China's Top 10 Most Touching Butlers.' If you're lucky enough to have her during your stay, you're in for a treat.
Moving from service to facilities, we paid extra to upgrade to the room with the best view in the entire building, and it was absolutely worth every penny. The room's furnishings (both fixed and movable), bedding, underfloor heating, humidifier, hairdryer, and other appliances were all impeccable. Plus, it offered a perfect view of the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' right from the bed. I highly recommend choosing the Fanjing King Room if it's within your budget [Strongly recommend]
Finally, the dining deserves commendation. We had two dinners at the hotel and ordered various dishes, and almost none were disappointing. The spicy chicken and Iberico pork were especially superb – I never expected such excellent food in such a remote location. Considering the environment, the value for money was quite high. Breakfast was also unexpectedly abundant. While most items were pre-selected, I preferred this refined set menu over buffets that offer many choices but generally mediocre taste, especially the excellent rice noodles! The complimentary special drinks offered to guests at the 4th-floor cafe in the evening are also worth savoring.
Overall, this was almost a flawless living experience. We initially chose the pet-friendly Daluzhiye because we were traveling with our cat, and now it seems we owe all this wonderful experience to our feline friend 🐱. Although there were a few minor shortcomings, such as the widely mentioned construction next door affecting the view, these did not overshadow the overall excellence. Daluzhiye Wunongding is still an excellent guesthouse I would wholeheartedly recommend to friends, and if one day I return to Wunongding with my family, this will remain my only choice.

A very satisfying stay. I wanted to go hiking in Nidin, so I searched for this newly opened hotel. The surroundings were quiet, with a gurgling stream, and the hotel environment was very tasteful and clean. I arrived in the evening and originally wanted to go to a nearby village for dinner because I was afraid the food in the hotel would not be good, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary! I ordered butter chicken, which was very filling. Although there was a lot of butter, it was not greasy at all. The store manager taught me to pour ghee on the rice and sprinkle some salt on it. It tastes so delicious! The rice noodles for breakfast were so delicious that I ate them for two mornings in a row. In the evening, goodnight milk was delivered to the room, which was a great experience. In the morning, there was a blessing ceremony of burning incense sticks by villagers nearby, and I was fortunate enough to join in. All in all, a highly recommended one!
The Yubeng Tibetan Mid-Levels ZGlamping Wild Luxury Tent is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Deqin, having been recently opened in 2023. Excellent
GGuest UserThe room is spacious and comfortable, with an excellent location, facing the snow-capped mountains. The next morning, the sun shone on the golden mountain, bringing a huge visual shock
Hua Zong specially arranged a special car to welcome us to the store, and carefully prepared breakfast, road meals and dinner, which were convenient and delicious. He also prepared hiking poles, crampons, etc., which came in handy when hiking on the ice lake line👍👍
May your home in the distance prosper and have a bright future🎉🎉
May Hua Zong weigh everything he gets, and weigh more than sugarcane💪💪
TT.estI spent just one night here, making a side trip from Shangri-La to catch the sunrise over Kawagarbo peak at Meili Snow Mountain.
The room was small but comfortable—perfect for one person. The electric blankets kept me warm and toasty in the freezing weather, especially since the room heater (an A/C unit) was quite small and took a while to heat up the space.
The location was ideal. It’s only a 5-min. walk to Feilaisi Monastery, which made it easy to reach the Feilai Temple Viewing Platform. The Meili Snow Mountain National Park Scenic Area lookout point is about a 15-min. slow walk away, in a more touristy area where you’ll also find street food and restaurants.
Breakfast is served at the small onsite restaurant. I enjoyed a bowl of vermicelli soup and a cup of hot soy milk. You can choose from several noodle options, and there were dumplings on the side as well.
When I checked out early in the morning, it was snowing, and visibility was poor. The owner noticed the foggy weather and kindly offered to let me return to my room if I changed my mind about exploring and preferred to rest instead. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and consideration.
Overall, I had a good stay here.
MM282105****The service was excellent! Upon arrival, they gave us a welcome kit and a medal, which really made us feel appreciated. When we returned from our hike in the evening, they even had complimentary hot ginger tea ready for us, which was absolutely delicious.
The view is incredible, directly facing Meili Snow Mountain and Jiarong Annan from the window. To the right, you can see General Peak, and to the left, Baima Snow Mountain (though the hotel's location is a bit tricky to find).
The room facilities are comprehensive, with hot water and underfloor heating, so it wasn't cold at all at night.
ZZhixiao-The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day – what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!
MM425930****I was planning my trip from Lijiang to Feilai Temple to see the beautiful Meili Snow Mountain. After much deliberation, I decided to book this hotel, and I'm very satisfied with my choice. The room was spacious and well-equipped. Although there's no snow mountain view, it offers great value for the price. It's also conveniently located close to the transportation pick-up point.
AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.
MM440391****The room is big, everything is complete, the food is good, and you can ride a bike🥰. The most important thing is that you can see the Meili Snow Mountain when you get up. It is also close to Yubeng Village and you can hike🥰. The manager sister is super nice and amiable. , approachable😘, really a good choice
MM279721****The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with a tasteful decor throughout. The underfloor heating and diffused oxygen supply meant we didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. The staff were warm and friendly! There's also a cafe and an observation deck on the top floor where you can see Baima Snow Mountain and Feilai Temple. The afternoon sun was perfect for photos, and the scenery was absolutely stunning!
The hotel's location isn't far from the Meili Snow Mountain observation deck, so transportation is very convenient. There's a snack street near the Feilai Temple observation deck, and watching the snow-capped mountains in the evening is beautiful—highly recommended! The hotel's restaurant is on the first floor, which is super convenient if you don't feel like going out in the cold.
GGuest UserMy room was as described. Functional and nice and warm (with heating on) with an excellent hot shower and nice wooden wall beams.
The people who run the place are lovely and also offer nice breakfast options in the morning.
The only small note I have is that (despite best efforts and a very modern ventilation system in the bathroom) the bathroom is already moldy. I understand that it's a challenge to get under control given the climate.
I would stay again next time, and actually spend more than just one night here. There is so much you can explore here!
GGuest UserPros:
One of the most stunning views from a hotel ever.
Doodoo the dog is the sweetest and felt like a home stay, super quiet and calm! Comfy beds with electric blanket and clean room.
Cons:
The shared toilets, sink shower are outside, which is not ideal in cold November.
First day the woman working was so helpful and accommodating, helped me wash clothes, made food and answered questions. The second day was a different woman, who would not use a translation app to answer questions which made things difficult. Would not make a hot drink in the cafe for me and wouldn’t explain why and wasn’t much help on transport questions because she wouldn’t translate her answers. Unfortunately it stands out because 99% of people in china help you! I went to a different cafe down the road where people were immediately so helpful.
