Hotels in Tai'an

"During summer vacation, I took my elementary school-aged children to climb Mount Tai. Ctrip picked us up at Jinan Airport and took us to Tai'an, where we stayed at the Wyndham Hotel for two nights. The hotel is relatively new, has a nice environment, and is high-end and classy. I personally think it's probably the most luxurious hotel in Tai'an. The front desk staff was very friendly and even upgraded our room for free. The hotel is very close to the high-speed rail station, just a few minutes away, and the reservation includes free transfers from the station. The next day, we took the high-speed rail to the Three Confucian Temples Scenic Area and Nishan Academy in Qufu for a round-trip (20 minutes), saving us the hassle of changing hotels with luggage. I'm glad I did my research well and chose the right hotel. I'll definitely choose the Wyndham again next time I visit."

"The amenities were fine, just normal. My room particularly smelt of smoke, not cigarettes, but like they'd had a major fire in there. It was quite strong and overwhelming. The view from the room was nice and there were many places to eat nearby"

"This is my 2nd review as i ended up staying 4 nights. Just wanna say thank you to all the staff at this hotel who worked tirelessly to make my stay so comfortable especially the receptionists whom I depend alot for extra assistance due to my poor Mandarin. To the housekeeping who made up my bed daily and the restaurant for delivering such healthy and fresh breakfast daily, i say you all are the best. I humbly salute you."

"The attention to detail was exceptional. Seeing that I had two children, they proactively offered kids' slippers and children's toothbrushes and toothpaste. There's a motion-sensor nightlight in the corner of the room, which is super convenient for midnight bathroom trips. They even provide a tool to detect hidden cameras, and disinfectant wipes in the bathroom. For just over 200, this is the most thoughtful hotel I've stayed in for years, and they even had disposable cups."

"The Wanda Realm is a great choice for visiting Taian. It is close to the Hong Men, where you can start the gruelling ascent up Mount Tai. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get there by car. If you hike, bring your passport. There is lots of water and food available on the climb. The hotel’s location is great. There is an awesome “Food Street” just behind the hotel with tons of great options. There is a 7-11 nearby, but it is hard to find early coffee anywhere. Everybody I met at the hotel was super. The hotel breakfast is nice. There was a trace of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel, which is probably standard in smallish cities. All in all, this is a great choice for your visit to Taian."

"Service: The staff were really welcoming. Because it was snowing, after we inquired, they upgraded us to a better room for free since they had availability and even allowed us to check in early, which was very kind. After checking out, they even gave us a gift, which was a thoughtful touch. Environment: The hotel's location is also very convenient. Due to the heavy snow, it was hard to get a taxi from Taishan Station, but it wasn't a long walk to the hotel. It's also easy to get to Dai Temple, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Ordering food delivery is also convenient, with robot delivery."

"The setting is fantastic. A few hundred meters north of the hotel is the Hongmen Scenic Area, the best hiking entrance to Mount Tai. A few hundred meters south is the expansive Dai Temple Square. Further south is the famous Dai Temple and the Old County Yamen Food Street. The location is simply amazing. I researched many hotels before hiking, and this one was almost the best value for money. Facilities: Although it's an older hotel, it's definitely been renovated and doesn't feel dated at all. It's excellent. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Service: Excellent. The front desk delivered our bottled water immediately upon finishing it. We were also given hiking poles before the hike (which we returned upon departure to save for future hikers). Breakfast: While not particularly luxurious, it was quite plentiful, including Tai'an's signature pancakes with green onions. I recommend hiking with this buffet, as it's so filling that you won't need to refill mid-hike. The most thoughtful thing is that the breakfast area is equipped with a lot of biscuits, small twisted dough sticks, and bread, all of which are sealed in small bags. It is obvious that they are not provided for breakfast, but for guests to take as supplies during the climb. It is very thoughtful, thumbs up!"

"A comfortable 2 night stay. Staff very helpful and accomodating. Great location at foot of mountain range. Easy to get to entrance to Mount Tai. Room was clean and spacious with nice shower which was essential after getting soaked on the mountain."

"I originally booked a semi-basement room with shared bathroom facilities. The lady at the front desk, seeing there were available rooms, kindly upgraded me for free to a room with a private bathroom and a window. Shandong girls are truly kind! I hiked all the way up from Hongmen, and I was completely exhausted, especially as the sun set, the wind picked up, and the temperature dropped sharply. The moment I entered the hotel, I genuinely felt so relieved and restored. For a mountain-top facility, I personally think it's quite an achievement to have it this well-equipped. The hotel organizes sunrise viewings in the morning. Although they reminded us they wouldn't knock to wake us up, a staff member still shouted down the hallway closer to the time. Honestly, if it weren't for that shout, I probably would have just been lazy and missed it! 🤣"

"If you want to stay at Taian Mountain 태산 area, I like to recommend this great hotel. Particularlyhotel managers Mr. Fred xu and Mr. Charles zhai's excellent customerservice is unforgettable. When you visit ghus hotel call them than you know the reason. Their customer service is precisely perfect and endless kindness. Hotel has excellent quality accommodation including bed and pillows comfortable and clean floor and full equipped bathroom. Much higher equipped than other 5 star hotel. I will stay again definitely. Do not miss best unique breakfast !"
