Gesa'erwang Square

Yushuzhou Museum
欲欲飞的鸟【Yushu State Museum】 is located in Jiegu Town, Yushu City. The museum currently has two main exhibition halls. One is the introduction to the Hoh Xil Nature Reserve in Yushu State; the other is about the past and present of the Yushu area, such as the Tang-Tibetan Ancient Road, Tibetan Buddhism, etc. The museum is open from 10:00 to 16:30 from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Monday. Visitors can register for admission with their ID cards, free of charge.
Jiegu Monastery
无无目的闲逛Located in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Jiegu Temple is the largest temple in the area. Built on the mountain, the temple is magnificent and has many monks' quarters, which rise step by step along the hillside, resembling a regular honeycomb. The temple houses many treasures, such as Sakyamuni thangkas, sandalwood Tara statues, etc. It also has large-scale Mani piles and stone cities where visitors can visit and pray. Here, you can feel the solemn atmosphere and people's piety to Buddhism.
Wencheng Princess Temple
胖胖魚头Wencheng Princess Temple is in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is said that this is the first stop after Princess Wencheng entered Tibet. The nearby Sun Moon Mountain depicts and records the beautiful legend of the marriage friendship of the Han and Tibetan people. It is a must-see place for the northwest tour around the Great Northwest.
Jianamani Stone Scripture City
无无目的闲逛The Jiana Mani Stone Scripture City is located 3 kilometers east of Yushu City. This small city is very unfamiliar to most tourists, but there is an endless stream of believers who come to the Stone Scripture City to worship every day.
Tang Fan Acient Road
滇滇国剑客This may be the place where Princess Wencheng passed by when she entered Tibet, so it is called the Tang-Tibet Ancient Road. However, no matter where you go, the historical relics here still attract tourists' attention.
Xinzhaimani Town (Jiannamanidui Ruins)
风风随心动1976The Xinzhai Janamani City in Yushu was founded by the first Jana Dode Sangqiu Pawang Living Buddha of the Sakya School of Tibetan Buddhism and Jiegu Temple. By the 1950s, there were as many as 2.5 billion Mani stones. With Mani stone piles, pagodas, scripture halls, prayer wheel corridors, prayer flags, etc., it has become the largest Mani stone city in Tibet. At present, the scale of Mani City is still expanding.
Only when you come to Xinzhai Mani City can you personally experience the spiritual shock that Mani City brings to you, which is an effect that no photo can achieve.
A few friendly reminders:
1. Prayer must be turned clockwise. Please do not step on Mani stones under any circumstances. You can not believe, but you should respect other people's beliefs.
2. There are many photographic elements in Xinzhai Mani City, including Mani stone walls, temples, prayer flags, lamas, wandering ascetics, Tibetans turning the sutras and prostrating, etc. If you want to take a portrait, especially a close-up of the face at a close distance, please be sure to obtain the consent of the other party first. In addition, it is not allowed to take pictures inside the temple hall, especially taking pictures of Buddha statues.
3. You can ask for a Mani stone and put it on the stone wall. All the Mani stones sold by vendors are blessed by the lamas of the temple (opened), and the price is the same. The large Mani stones are engraved with scriptures and cost hundreds or thousands. The smallest Mani stones are 10-20 yuan, and are engraved with the six-character mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva: Om Mani Padme Hum.

Yushu Grassland
