The hotel is located between Taragona and Salo, close to the main theme park of Adventure Port and Ferrari Theme Park, 5 minutes drive. Clean and beautiful environment and comfortable sleep. There are many special restaurants downstairs.

The hotel is located in the old town of the small town, and you can experience the life of the locals at close range. Close to the cathedral. There are free parking spaces around. Although the hotel is in the old city, the design is avant-garde and beautiful. Very warm and characteristic hotel. The small town is located between Tarragona and Salou, a 5-minute drive to Ferrari theme parks and PortAventura theme parks.

Designed/appointed much like the Disney version of an American lodge (in Colorado), the decor was a little cheesy, but the rooms and common areas were very clean, well maintained and spacious. Hot water, good water pressure, decent wifi, comfy beds, good AC... a good experience all around. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Pool was clean and well maintained. Lifeguards had some kind of weird rule about not wearing sunglasses in the pool, but hey - your pool your rules. Food was decent. The park is a short 10-ish minute walk away, so very easily accessible. Entrance is included in the room rate. The park itself was packed with very long lines, so be prepared for that - but that's really a comment on the park, not the hotel, right? In short, a lovely experience at a fun little ”American” style hotel in the heart of Tarragona.

In general, everything is correct. Huge room and extremely comfortable beds. However, we stayed in a Callaghan's Superior room, but without the details like the Colorado Creek Superior rooms (no bottled water, for example). It is noticeable that the quality of the hotel's food at dinner and breakfast has dropped a lot compared to other times we have stayed at the Gold River.

Everything was perfect, the stay, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, lots of variety and very good. It is the second time we come and we will repeat in the future.

Great option to stay if you want to visit Port Aventura amusement park. Staying for the night at the hotel will grant you access to the park on both days, the check-in and the check-out. Rooms are clean and comfortable, for a good rest after spending the day at the park. The swimming pool is also amazing, big and beautiful, it is an adventure in itself. Only issue is the service: you can feel that the staff do their best, however during peak season, they are so busy that for sure you will have to line up in order to get anything done. They are moving ahead and making moves for automatic self-service processes: like self- check out, but still is not enough. You gotta then have some patience and wait until your turn comes.

Very nice hotel and fantastic buffet breakfast. The only downside is that we were two couples in different rooms and one had a single large bed and the other two beds together. Very good location to spend two days in the park. Very kind employees.

A sh1thole of a hotel. The one thing I can say is it’s kept reasonably clean but otherwise not a 4 star- more like a 2 star and that’s pushing it. Should be restared as it’s got nothing of quality. The lobby is nice but that’s it. The rooms are old and dated and rooms have no perks you’d expect from a 4 star. The kettle- there is none and no cups- they charge you if you want one. The rooms beds are pushed together- no privacy for the adults atall. Rooms are old as the hills and bedsheets are ugly. Everything is about money. They charge 10 euros each for towels and 3 euro for a swim. Cap is you want to swim in what they call a spa. Spa is clinical - no luxury whatsoever. The game room downstairs has holes in the floor and pool table is old as the hotel itself. Nothing nice and modern about it. Food selection for kids is poor- absolutely nothing child orientated atall. Beef for adults is like eatting old leather boots. Food quality is absolutely awful and catered more for the locals. The only thing I can say good is the salad which kids wont eat. My son found one item he will eat which is a disgrace. Then they charge you for water - unbelievable .Paid too much for what is just brushing it 2 star - it fails me how this place has a 4 star rating. Ppls ratings must be to low standards- avoid at all costs

We stayed a week in a 4th floor two bed apartment which was very clean, well equipped , with pool view large balcony and had its own boiler supplied hot water . The apartments are a bit dated inside and out and the exterior could do with smartening up but the pool and sunbathing area are very well kept and clean . When we stayed there were plenty of available sunbeds . We did see the pool attendant reluctantly removing towels from reserved sunbeds first thing in the morning after waiting for a while . This seems reasonable .. he is only doing what he’s been asked to do by owners . One slightly inconvenient thing is that there are no toilets around the pool area , so you have to go back to the apartment . The apartments are in the “town” area rather than the busy “tourist area” at the other end of the beach . Although there are plenty of local cafes , supermarkets and bars in the area . The apartments are about a fifteen min walk from the beach . Be aware that two sunbeds and a parasol is €25 a day . I had read negative comments about staff in reception , but I found them helpful and friendly . Just because someone doesn’t have a great command of English doesn’t make them “rude and unfriendly “. The staff were helpful in getting a parasol for the hot balcony and were accommodating when we wanted a late check out on our apartment ( albeit with a small charge )

No loss is the villa hotel, the scenery is very good, the facilities are good, there is a swimming pool on the first floor, all aspects are more convenient, next to the Ferrari amusement park, is the 18 euro buffet to drink water need to pay separately
