Had very low expectations because of all the bad reviews. However it's not that bad or I was lucky. The room was small (but it's normal for an Ibis) but fortunately there was no street noise or serious malfunctions. The room wasn't too hot although it was +30 degrees outside. The bed was comfortable. Can't comment on breakfast. It was a bit odd but nobody on the front desk spoke any English. I know I'm in France but this is an international chain hotel in a touristic city (Poitiers is very nice and underrated, by the way). One more thing - my stay cost me 25 EUR. If the price was 2-3 times higher, perhaps I would be more picky.
Room not that impressive. Only discovered it is a converted church when I logged on to ***********. But the main reason for writing this review is to point out that they protect their wi-fi with a ridiculously complicated password. (Why? At most it only needs to stop people tapping into it from the street). The upshot is that I was not able to access their wi-fi from my phone. Reception staff were friendly but basically claimed their system wasn’t at fault. Disappointing
I had booked 3 rooms from 28 to 30 December last and was taken from the amount to be paid on 24 December . On December 29, I had to cancel a room for COVID reason and naturally asked for reimbursement .... and it was answered that the price I received was not cancelable and not refundable until 5 days before arrival Since when POWER ON POSITIVE PERSON TO BE 5 DAYS PRIOR Arrival....... and I was offered an exceptionally on 11 January a postponement PRIOR FIN FEBRUARY 2022.....

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, left the car in the hotels secure car park and explored the city on foot, the centre being pedestrianised. We were really pleased with the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English, very clean and large room with a good shower in the bathroom. Plenty restaurants nearby, across the road is Taco & co who do love tasty carry outs or eat ins, their chicken is finger lickin good ! 5 minutes walk takes you to Mekong Pacific, an authentic Chinese restaurant ran by Mr Duc, a very nice man. We will stay here again next time we visit Poitiers
The rooms have a juiced-up, original styling, ideal for business and leisure stays. There is also a restaurant at the hotel. Breakfast and WIFI are included in all rates at the fully air-conditioned ibis Styles Poitiers Nord. Open 24 hours a day and ideally located between Futuroscope, 3 miles away, and the train station and historic center of Poitiers, a 10-minute drive.
Excellent hotel service fantastic and value for money, Will use this hotel in the future, it’s very very clean and they look after a little white cat who is a stray every time we stay it’s outside waiting for food, they are very kind to look after it.
Great location, very friendly staff. We didn't find the hotel hot or noisy at all. It's located on the main square of town, there's going to be some noise but it didn't bother us at all. I traveled with my brother, we had separate rooms and neither of us had any problems. Would definitely stay there again!
The ibis Poitiers Sud hotel is located 5 min from the centre of Poitiers, 12 min from the Futuroscope theme park and 5 km from the airport. 81 air-conditioned rooms are available for booking. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar serving light meals and snack s 24/24, free private outdoor parking, and also 3 meeting rooms (up to 50 persons) for organising your seminars and conferences. Guests on a business trip will appreciate the WIFI wireless Internet access.
Bedding and Towels clean. Bed uncomfortable and you could feel the inners of the mattress digging into you. Wind down blind. Pulled across voile. Dismal. Carpet should have been thrown out in the 90’s by the looks of it. Faded and stained. Definitely not something I would want to step out of bed onto. Following morning (after an awful night and listening to a nearby generator of some form) everything felt damp including the hard flooring. Bathroom Shower good and plenty of hot water. Bathroom shelf unstable and toilet seat loose enough to be a hazard. Poorly repaired holes in bathroom wall where something like a towel rail once sat. We were given a garden facing room on the ground floor as we had two dogs ( apx. 3.5kg each) I feel the room was substandard because of this. Charge per night €10 per dog! However, not that pet friendly as you couldn’t take them into the restaurant or bar. You could have drinks on the terrace but it was raining. Nearby Buffalo grill allow dogs in so would recommend any dog owners to go there. Would we stay here again NO!

Outstanding
Delighted place to stay and Philippe's attention to detail was perfect. Philippe contacted us via WhatsApp that made all the communications simple and he met us at the his gate to direct us in to the secure parking at the rear of the property. Although we do not have an electric car we are sure there was a charge point. Philippe was delightful and showed us round the renovated old property, that he is very proud of. The renovation has been undertaken in a modern way whilst sympathising with the lovely ole building. In addition to a large bedroom (we had the one in the photograph) and well appointed bathroom, there was access to the guests' kitchen dining room, where there was a large variety of teas and coffee, fridge and cooking facilities, together with glass bottles of water flavoured with herbs from the garden (delicious). Sustainability is important to Philippe and the property has an environmental award. Breakfast is the best we have ever had. Most of what was served was home made, much from the properties garden, including cheese matured in the caves at the end of the garden and scrambled egg from their chickens. Poitiers is an easy walk away across the beautiful river with its mill and through some public gardens. Philippe can advise where to go and where eat. Definitely a place to stay in Poitiers.
Disappointing stay here is putting it mildly - we booked a king suite at a not low rate, and the ”sitting room,” adjacent to the bedroom had an old broken sofa bed that could not be folded closed, thus making it impossible to use as a place to sit - in addition it had a cigarette burn hole on one cushion, and the thin carpeting was stained in a number of spots. The unadorned drab rooms were reminiscent of a prison waiting room with the cheap carpeting and plain beige walls. We had booked this hotel especially to have a/c and the small wall air conditioner for the bedroom was worse than useless. In fact, we turned it on, closed the door, and came back two hours later to find the bedroom warmer than the sitting room, which had no a/c. When I mentioned it to reception, there was little response. But perhaps the crowning insult was the afternoon desk clerk (British accented), who, when we asked for two glasses for a bottle of wine we purchased at the shop next to the hotel, refused our request, saying at first she didn't have any glasses (there is a bar at the reception desk with a shelf of glasses about three feet away in plain view) and then telling us that she couldn't give us glasses because the hotel patrons ”steal them or break them and imbed shards of glass into the carpet and the maids get injured.” When I said I had never heard of such a thing, she said it is ”common in France.” We've traveled many years in France and other European countries and this was a first. To be fair, when one of us went back down to reception to beg for a bit of ice, she relented and gave us two glasses, saying she could get in trouble for doing so. The good - breakfast was a good value for 15euros. The morning reception worker was very cheerful and willing to point us in the direction of the sights in Portiers. Location was great. There are other hotels nearby - I'd check them out before booking this one.
MMintteaI really like the old lady at the receptionist. We arrived in the morning with our luggage while the check-in time is after 3pm. We called the receptionist to ask about leaving them at the hotel earlier. The lady was very kind, cheerful and helpful on the phone. She even helped us to check in way earlier, at 10am. She is the reason why I instantly thought about writing the review here, which I rarely do. The room exceeded our expectations. We have our separate beds, clean and bright bathroom + toilet, kitchen with all the necessary utensils, a fridge, a stove. All the staff we met at the hotel are really professional with highest degree of caring. Highly recommended!
MmSaraThe hotel is very clean. With a very friendly and smiled house staff, we rented 3 rooms 210 110 and 109. The 210 is very well located, clean bathroom but to refresh to have more than 🌟. The 110 with a stick but very clean. very warm also happy SB fan presence very well. The person at the reception really sympathetic because of a small tax error has gently offered to me and my children Viennan and orange juice. Thanks to the hotel for its welcome and cleanliness.
Personal reservation for 2 weeks of stays each linked to a training nearby (5min walk from CNFPT), I appreciated the welcome and stay in this hotel, located next to the station. The hotel is relatively well isolated, although it is just next to the rails, you were sleeping quietly. I also found the people who attend respectful (no doors that clock continuously like svt in the Ibis Budgets that have no ”related/suppressing” system to clock the door cut-fee as it exists in others The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the standard ibis budget room is very comfortable. The - : - buffet, mostly empty when you arrive at 8:00 (rests letterally 2 rising and 2 dry gaffles), little choice and quickly exhausted without being renewed, very disappointing in relation to the price (I don't advise to take it) - the neighborhood and the hotel situation / it is practical for some things, but the neighborhood is really scary, day 1 = baston just in front of the youth gang hotel (scrapped bottles etc in the evening, baston behind the hotel The hotel is located in the city centre, and the hotel is located in the city centre. The hotel is not responsible for the neighborhood, but the location is playing and the atmosphere is unfortunately feeling.
GGuest UserThey allow dog but its important to know they are not allowed in the breakfast space, which is indeed very small. On others Ibis budget I experienced, there is usually a dedicated space or table but in this one it was too small.
This made me discover a very good bakery very close to!
