Find the Cheap Puilboreau Hotels

Easy to find just outside La Rochelle with plenty of free car parking. The staff are excellent, Cedric and Paula greeted us warmly, and Toni helped us in the restaurant. All 3 spoke very good English. As for the rooms, they were exactly what you would expect from a Campanile, large, clean and comfortable, but this was the first Campanile we have ever visited that does not have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

____________________ GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION ---------- Located in the shopping area Beaulieu Puilboreau, it is therefore top with no problem with restaurants for lunch/ dinner. The hotel is very easy to access almost directly to the main lines to reach for example La Rochelle. ____________________ The hotel and the home ---------- Standard B&B in all respects, very good welcome, modern reception room with a large breakfast area. Elevators to access the rooms ____________________ Room ---------- Standard room also, with ground moquette that produces no bad dust, well equipped with hang, TV, office, air conditioning! B&B is also a very standard bathroom with the problem of the shower that wets the whole bathroom. ____________________ RESTAURATION ---------- A breakfast service is offered in the form of sugar/salt buffet. Very good variety with winemakers, cakes, cold and hot drinks, brown egg, bacon and sauce. Good products. ____________________ QUALITY/PRICE RAPPORT AND SERVICES ---------- Very good quality/price ratio and given the situation if you don't want to pay for being in the heart of La Rochelle, while having shops/restaurants next to. The Wi-Fi works very well except at the end of the evening when there is a world of connecting, it becomes slower. Distributors 24/24 in the reception room. ____________________ OVERSIGT ---------- It is probably a very good choice for a good quality hotel, not too expensive, in a large commercial area, not too far from La Rochelle. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable.

We spent a night from 8/07 to 9/07. The price shown from 49 euros, we paid EUR 85 plus 2X EUR 9 for the small breakfasts, high rates under the pretext that it is the Francofolies ... It is, but vestee room, dirt, unwrought bathroom, deteriorated, The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel. We told the receptionist that we should ”pleasure” by commenting on the site and we are very happy but really disappointed that we have paid as expensive for services as badly.

I struggle to recognise this as a 5 star establishment. Pleasant enough and in a good location, with friendly staff ready to assist. Sadly the systems and facilities let down the hotel. We stayed 4 nights. The hotel restaurant was fully booked on the first night (we were not warned are advised to book in advance despite contacting the hotel prior to arrival) and it was closed on our second and third nights. We were disinclined to book on our last night. The hotel allows dogs. Fine providing owners do not leave them in the room whilst at breakfast, allowing them to bark constantly and waken neighbours. Breakfast was average and let down by slow replacement of items. The moderately warm but congealed bacon and scrambled egg were not attractive. On the other hand, the kitchen produced two excellent omelettes. Leisure facilities were not used. The steam room and sauna were available but shower facilities were out of action during our stay. Who wants to sit around the leisure area in a sweaty state? The pool was poor and afforded nil privacy. A good, if rather expensive cocktail bar, staffed by a man who knows what he is doing. A good, but again, expensive car parking service. There are no sensible options in this part of town.

I really like this hotel, the location is perfect for the old town, with shops, bars, cafes etc within a few metres walk. The main transport square is only maybe 50m away, with lots of buses and bikes. It’s such a cool vibe inside the hotel, like 70’s style. Very friendly staff, very good value. The breakfast is ok, like a continental selection, nothing hot (apart from boiled eggs) but it’s fine. I’m on the second floor and here is a slight fan type noise all the time, it’s quieter as you go down each floor, but I’ve slept well. The veranda is a little grubby, as is the central outdoor area, but everything else is immaculate. Don’t expect that perfect modern hotel look, the bathroom for example looks “dated” but that’s the point - it’s really clean and looks so cool and homely, not like all the usual modern hotels that have no character. Good selection of books downstairs. I really like the place, originally booked 3 nights but extended that to just over a week which says something. Only marked 3 for Services as there’s not much else other than rooms, a chill out area and the breakfast room, so don’t expect spas/pools etc
