"Positives - on the beach front with lovely views, just a short walk to all the tourist attractions.
Very nice English breakfast.
Staff were polite and efficient.
Lobby areas neat and tidy. Good lunch food.
Negatives. Upstairs hallways and bedrooms are in very poor condition. Peeling wallpaper, dirty sofas, threadbare carpets, scratched paintwork and faded curtains.
Private Parking advertised but still costs £25 a night.
Limited amenities."
"I stayed there for one night. Asked for a quiet room but the street noise was still really loud since it's facing the main street. But it's so easy to find from the station. I could also hear water hitting the shower floor through the ceiling and the whole facility seems outdated. Bed was comfortable though.
The breakfast was fine. They seem to accommodate people with different diertey requirements
The worst experience was a smoke detector tester knocking on the door in the morning. Why can they just wait for a few hours until the check out or at least inform ahead of time? I'm a female staying alone and there's a man just knowing and coming into the room, it's really scary."
"The room cleaning was rough, and a tip would have been better. There was no refrigerator in the room, and no toiletries, just towels. The shampoo and shower gel were also inferior. However, the hotel is in a good location and is very convenient to get around. The room is larger than most here, and the hotel is also new. The breakfast is also good."
"From start to end the staff wonderful. Qiality of room, bed, favilities above expectation. Bed and linen of very good quslity. Location really good. Breakfast was very ampme and good quality. Very satisfactory.
Did not ise the complimentary gym facilties, games room or laundry available to guests but it looked very good.
Would h8ghly recommend yhis little gem h8dden 8n the city
Special thanks to Handan, Koyel and Arianna on reception who were very helpful during my very short stsy."
"Pros first. Great rooms, great staff, clean and looked after hotel, right on the front. Near to everything.
Cons Hotel is also a club / pub and is very loud till 4pm during the weekends. All rooms are above the bar / club so had little to no sleep the entire time we were there. They do provide ear plugs in the room but this hotel is suitable for the young ish amongst us of night owls.
Wouldn’t go back but only because of the lack of sleep. Booming bass and a good nights sleep are not a marriage made to work."
"The hotel boasts an excellent location, right on Brighton Beach, overlooking the sea. Our room was quite spacious. We opted for a top-floor sea-view room, enjoying the ocean vista directly from our bed. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves, and seagulls were constantly flying past our window. Just behind the hotel, Brighton's main street offers all sorts of supermarkets and restaurants. The room was very clean, breakfast was included, and the service was very friendly."

Title: A Pleasant Stay with a Few Minor Hiccups
My recent stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton was, on the whole, a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is a definite highlight—it’s just a two-minute walk from the bustling Brighton Pier and a stone's throw from some fantastic independent coffee shops and restaurants. This made exploring the city on foot incredibly easy and convenient.
The staff were a particular standout. From the moment we checked in, the front desk team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. They provided us with a map and some excellent recommendations for local places to eat, which were spot on. Our room was also a great feature; it was spacious, very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel.
While my stay was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a perfect 5-star experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton particularly for those looking for a great location and a comfortable stay. The fantastic staff and clean, well-appointed rooms make it an excellent choice for a weekend getaway. While there are a few small areas for improvement, I would certainly consider staying here again on my next visit to Brighton."

Title: Perfect Location and Exceptional Service
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Hotel Brighton and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable, situated right next to the train station and just a short stroll from the vibrant city center and iconic Brighton Pier. This made getting around and exploring the city incredibly easy and convenient.
From the moment I checked in, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were always on hand to help with any queries and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest.
My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The bed was perfect, and the room was equipped with everything I needed, including a good work desk and tea/coffee facilities. I also found the hotel's amenities to be top-notch. The breakfast was a definite highlight, with a wide selection of delicious options to start the day.
Overall, my stay at the Leonardo Hotel Brighton was nothing short of excellent. The combination of its superb location, comfortable and clean rooms, and outstanding staff made for a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brighton, whether for business or leisure, and I will certainly be back on my next trip."
"Beautifully decorated room with a small balcony to enjoy the sun . The room was big, very clean and the bed comfy. Bed linen crisp and pillows just right. We had air conditioning or could open the windows to let the sea air in!
The bathroom, toiletries and towels good quality. Theres a safe, fridge and good sized wardrobe with shelves . Kettle with tea and coffee also a coffee pod machine to use. We didn’t book for breakfast but it was an option. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would recommend"
"The location is excellent, 20 mins walk from Brighton Station, it is along the seaside, very relaxing and all scenic spots are within walking distance e.g. i360, Brighton Palace Pier, Zip Line, Beachside Train.... 1 thing to remind is the view of the standard room there is terrible, NO VIEW at all, it is facing a high wall closely and the window is very dirty, the feeling like being in a confined space or badly in a prison! Though the hotel is old but in good maintenance, the overall decor is elegant."

Outstanding
GGuest UserNice flat great location close to beach and shops and restaurants , not so easy to find due to works going on where your are told to turn says taxi and buses only , says parking available on description but doesn’t mention extra cost which is disappointing as it does bump up the price and should inform that there is an extra charge also charge by day not by night so extra £60 for 2 nights , instructions for space weren’t clear had to call and a car was in the space , both showers not great hard to get temperature right and the en suite one was broken the attachment was broken so we didn’t use , there are a lot of stairs over 4 flights(77) apparently but that isn’t mentioned wasn’t an issue for us but If you have young children or elderly people or lots of luggage could be an issue, overall great location and a nice spacious flat
GGuest UserI really appreciate upgrade to room sea view.
But on the night of our stay was very strong wind and omg felt like windows will fall out, we stayed up all night. Room was freezing.
In the no when I did check why the wind noise was sooo bad I realised there was a massive gap between window and frame.
On the check out girl asked how was my stay and when I said it was just alright, she wasn’t bothered to ask why and skipped to next question.
I could point out issue we had but there was a guest in front of me who was talking about the same situation and girl at reception offered her blanket and heater, sounds like it’s on good problem in hotel with windows and stuff can’t be ask to deal with it.
Llann94High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.
GGuest UserOn the pricey end of hotels in Brighton, the room very simple and old fashioned.
No real complaints staff are very friendly. Getting the bags to the room is difficulty so I wouldn't recommend to someone with reduced mobility.
But overall great view and nice staff.
GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.
TTravelogue1926If you're looking for a beachfront location with breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, this is the place for you. Our room was on the 5th floor, so be ready for narrow stairs and no elevator if you have heavy luggage. We visited during warm weather and were surprised to find no AC or fan, which is essential for us as Asians. It was our oversight for not checking beforehand. Otherwise, the room was good, and the place was secure for our belongings.
GGuest UserThe staff is amazing from a to z, also bed linens and towels are clean like new. The mattress was very comfortable and good quality. The breakfast was very basic English with filtered coffee. But the building is almost falling apart which is a shame. It takes 15-20 minutes in bus A5 or 5 for £3 one way, which is quite handy. The free parking is fairly good and also handy. The cost for a double room was £175 and I believe that was way higher than it should. All I’m saying is that if I would have known, I could get a much nicer hotel for that amount.
LLivesofrealexpatsThis is my favorite place to stay in Brighton! It’s quiet and laid back, the location is amazing and it’s cheaper to stay here than anywhere else. Definitely recommend.
