"Great rooms. Great staff. Lovely location.
Drinks at bar exhorbitant price and restaurant food good but well overpriced.
Had a nice time but no Christmas menu on 14th December."
"About 10-15 minutes walk from the city, there are McDonald's and two large supermarkets opposite, very convenient, the room is clean, the breakfast options are not many but delicious, it is a high cp value accommodation"
"The room layout pays great attention to details. There are complete facilities such as teapots and ironing boards. The breakfast options are also good. In the lobby, it is also a good pleasure to sit down and order a glass of wine or a cup of tea. You can find many kinds of food when you go out to satisfy your hometown appetite."
"Lovely setting, plenty parking. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on restaurants. Just next door there’s a cafe and a pizzeria with a marque type set up and also a van that serves churros, donuts and crepes in the evening. Plenty of walking around and about. Only thing that was a little annoying is not being able to use the pool without booking a spa treatment which we did not do."
"We are a family of four and booked 2 junior suites and requested both on booking and during email correspondence prior to our arrival for double bed and twin bed configurations. On our arrival we were allocated rooms at opposite ends of the hotel, on different floors and with 2 double beds. Housekeeping had apparently gone home for the night despite arriving before 6pm and so this could not be corrected. The hotel had a beautiful open fireplace in the main bar which for some reason on a cold night in December wasn’t alight. We ate dinner in the hotel brasserie where a significant number of dishes on the menu were unavailable with no explanation from the staff when asked. At breakfast the following morning we were unable to order coffee as apparently this service is not available on weekends. Overall, despite a great location, this was a very disappointing stay."
"The hotel is just on the edge of the town of Bibury. You can go around the village in the morning. It is very comfortable and the surrounding scenery is as beautiful as an oil painting. The hotel breakfast is very good. You need to order hot meals yourself. We tried a little hard and couldn't understand what they said. We finally ordered a full English and a vegetarian. Milk, coffee, and bread are self-service. The room size is OK. The toilet is a bit old and not easy to flush. There is no place to eat around, so you can only solve it in the hotel, which needs to be booked in advance. We had a late lunch and had beef ramen in Bristol. We were not very hungry and did not eat at night. It is cold in the countryside at night. There is no heating, so it is a bit cold to sleep. But it is still a good experience to stay here for one night."
"Arrived at night, the store was very intimate waiting for us. Free parking is available, and parking spaces are relatively sufficient. The room we booked was very large, with three beds and two bathrooms, and the facilities were very complete. The breakfast at the store is very good, the amount given is very sufficient, and they are all freshly made English breakfasts, very authentic!"
"The staff greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. The room was well laid out and very clean.
We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was excellent. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Margaret made us feel right at home.
The service in the bar was attentive and efficient. The barman was friendly and helpful.
The full English breakfast gave us a great start to the day. There was plenty of choice and the service was quick and friendly.
Parking on site was secure and there were plenty of spaces.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future."
