This was a great place to stay overnight with our 3 dogs in two soft crates on our way to Crufts. Reasonable price, welcoming and convieniant. Rooms a little tired but clean and fairly spacious. We will be booking again

This was our first visit to Eckington Manor,we came with friends who were celebrating a forthcoming 80th birthday what a lovely place,the accommodation was first class we had dinner here on our third night it was a three course gourmet meal,everyone enjoyed it ,it was clean plates all round,would highly recommend ,we will come here again,first class service from all the staff,well done. I booked this hotel I'm particular as it seemed like a secluded option rather then a city hotel and it was the right choice! Grounds and buildings ate beautiful and a grand place to stay. Room had 2 double beds and a small balcony overlooking the golf course and was so, so peaceful. Exactly what we wanted for the weekend. Used the gym, pool and steam room. Sat around the lobby reading a book. Used the restaurant on both nights, food was okay, but service was wonderful, especially from out Server (wasnt wearing a name badge but know he was from Croydon, as were were visiting from London). Breakfast was a winner in both selection and quality and Vlad was there both mornings so welcomed with a smile. If we weren't already Married, I'd want to get Married here! We walked through the Manor House and it's Beautiful, what a setting for a Wedding. We will be returning soon. For sure

I booked as a treat for myself and my wife as we were just starting our honeymoon together. She had no idea that I had booked STANBROOK until we pulled into the long driveway that leads to the hotel. It was dark when we arrived but you could tell straight away that it was a beautiful place to stay. We checked in at reception and Jacks dealt with us. She was very pleasant and informative and showed us to our suite. It was absolutely stunning whilst keeping the character of the original features. Jacks had our drinks sent to the room while we settled in and booked us in for dinner. The food was delicious and you could tell it was quality ingredients. The staff were very attentive but not in your face to spoil the meal. We had a lovely nights sleep and arrived for breakfast. Again the staff & food was excellent. We checked out with Jacks who again was pleasant and wished us well for the rest of our journey down to Devon. I would highly recommend a stay here for a special occasion and I’m sure as a wedding venue it would be spectacular for all guests and photos. It’s a long way from where I live in Scotland but I will be trying the hand picked hotel in Edinburgh for sure.

Everything you want from a B&B and nothing you don't! After 15 years in the business, Liz & David know what they're doing. High standard of furnishing, cleanliness and lighting. Everything well thought through, including the large cubby hole in the shower so you can take more than one product in with you. As it was chilly, Liz thoughtfully brought up a plug in radiator which worked a treat. They both strike the right balance of friendliness and helpfulness without being overbearing. I brought a takeaway back both nights and plate and cutlery was provided without a fuss and much appreciated. Breakfast was yummy, fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by quality smoked salmon and gluten free bread provided without a fuss, Liz checking I didn't have any other dietary restrictions. It's a 25 minute walk uphill to town to burn off the breakfast, but downhill with any shopping. There are some less hilly walks around the commons nearby, and the ”village” centre has everything you need if you don't fancy a trek up the hill. Parking no problem around the corner and if I'd needed to charge my EV wouldn't have been a problem. Hopefully back later this year, Thanks!
