My partner and I booked Glencoe House for a family celebration. We booked lodges 9 & 11 along with suite 2. The surroundings were outstanding, with peace and tranquility from our decking allowing us to forget about our bustling lives for a few days. We had dinner in suite 2 as a group. The choices were extensive, from stunning local seafood and meats to delicious desserts and cheese....obligatory wines from our in suite bar were on hand to supplement each dish. The service was incredibly professional, discreet, and a joy to experience. We really did feel like royalty. The chef, I think his name is George, made an appearance to ensure all was well. Marvellous. We had drinks afterwards in the main hall and chatted with Angela, a local lady. She gave us fantastic tips on the best walks in the are, taking into consideration my father's slight mobility issues. The following day, we took her advice. After a beautiful in suite breakfast, we meandered around the local trail, a more or less level walk with plenty of benches scattered around it for a quick breather. Glencoe House oozes an opulence which hotels don't seem to have anymore. From arrival with James in his kilt, the decor, ambience, and the facilities on hand, everything. The 2 lodges are basically next door and are stunningly beautiful. Next level luxury! We as a group cannot wait to return. We are all smitten with this establishment and every single dedicated and supremely professional employee. Thankyou so much to all of you, and we cannot wait to visit and see you all again. Xx
We stayed here on their 3 night Hogmanay package from 30th December - 2nd January and had a fantastic time When we arrived we were a little confused as the signage on the building doesn't match the website so thought we had the wrong place but once you step inside it is a beautiful and cosy inn. The bedrooms were small but lovely and recently decorated. The bathrooms were a little tired but fine. Each meal we had there was exceptional. They have a great head chef and we really were so impressed with the quality of the food. We felt like we got to sample a lot of the local produce. The staff were all really lovely and took great care of us. One of the wait staff played bagpipes at midnight on New Years Eve which was fantastic. The location is perfect to get to Glencoe Mountain as well as Ben Nevis. Its really well situated. All around I would really recommend spending New Years Eve for a proper Scottish experience and I think we will book this again this year with a bigger group of friends.
In fact, Glencoe Canyon does not have a fixed attraction. After coming from Lomond Lake and entering the mountains, every viewpoint is an attraction. There are two visit centers along the way, and the scenery is not as good as the view point. However, the most beautiful attraction in Glencoe Canyon is actually in this hotel. The hotel is located on the peninsula in the lake, the peninsula is more than 10 meters above the lake surface, the mountains and rivers, large areas of bluebells, the hotel hidden in the landscape, a picture of a paradise. Walk around the peninsula, take pictures, and watch the sunset, which is very enjoyable. Free parking lot, the room size is too big, the facilities inside are good, clean and sanitary. Warm service and good breakfast. Two-story building without elevator.
Beautiful environment, great scenery, excellent value for money, good staff service, well-equipped rooms, great location, pets can stay, next time you will choose to stay.
It is a very old hotel, the hotel should be refurbished, just fine. However, there is no elevator, which is a bit inconvenient. The hotel is very tasteful. I feel that I can take a good look at the stairs. The windows all have a little history, but they are still clean. The toilet is very light, it is not bad. Because I saw the evaluation before going to the general, I felt that it was worth it. The restaurant is very good, the price is OK, the sirlion steak is super delicious, staying in the UK for so long, is the best sirloin I have ever eaten, I ordered the medium rare, superb, the chef is very good. Hey, I also saw the black cat in the hotel, very cute. It feels like a good experience, and the breakfast buffet is also excellent.
Everything very good

We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding. The team helped on all accounts and the rose petals and champagne were the icing on the cake. The lodge we had was lodge 1, we were very private ,with trees to one side meaning no one was over looking us. The lodge was immaculate, high standard of finish throughout. The view was perfect for us, sunshine with a wee breeze and the midges really with the wood burner on as dusk came no bother to us . βSmidgeβ was included and we both used that before we ventured out, very helpful. I cannot fault the woodlands set up, if I am really looking to find anything maybe some throws to use would be nice to sit out later. Oh worth noting if you want some music do take a Bluetooth speaker as we didnβt want the projector and screen on but still wanted some music when watching rh view and sunset . The projector was fab though later and just casts whatever is on your phone no app or anything needed to use.

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so donβt really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that itβs not 5* π. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.
We stayed for 1 night in August 2024. We were a family grouping of seven adults and older children and we booked one of the four bed βbeach housesβ with hot tub adjacent to the hotel. We paid Β£630 for the one night which was a special deal on the website, reduced from the original price of Β£750. I still donβt think that was good value for money. The Holly Tree describes itself as a luxury hotel. Itβs not luxurious. Itβs good to nice. Iβve been fortunate to have travelled around the world with my job and on holidays and stayed in many luxury hotels so I know what that means. The beach houses are new and yes, they have nice en-suite bathrooms and are modern and clean, but they lack the βwow factorβ and small details to be classed as luxury. The outdoor hot tub wasnβt sheltered in any way so with a Force 8 gale blowing and torrential rain, it was basically unusable on the night we stayed. In such an exposed location, itβs pointless have hot tubs with no weather protection of any kind. The hotel itself is OK but again, itβs really pushing it to describe it as luxury. The restaurant looks tired and the bar was mostly full of restaurant style tables and chairs crammed in with maybe 3 sofas, when I was hoping for something a bit more comfortable and cosy. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was good quality. Service was pretty good too. So overall, I donβt think it was value for money that we paid. The beach house was very nice but not luxury standard and the hotel itself needs a makeover. Itβs trading on its location too much.
