"I prefer staying on the higher floors of the hotel, as the facilities there are newer and more comfortable. However, during my recent three-week stay, the waffle maker was broken. I used to enjoy making waffles for breakfast during previous stays, but it was unavailable this time.
I hope the breakfast quality can be maintained at the same level as my stays in September and October 2024, when there were many options available. The variety and quality of the breakfast have always been a bonus and one of the main reasons I choose this hotel."
"Stunning room, great bed, very comfortable. Cannot complain about anything apart from we had an accessible bathroom and my friend had a shower at 2am and water went everywhere. Our room was a big puddle, I had to call for help. Something went wrong with the drainage and water wasn't going down. Also downside was 3 tiny sachets of milk and tiny coffee sachets so we couldn't enjoy our morning coffee in the room. Apart from this, everything was great."
"The hotel was really great. I asked fan for hot days, and they borrow it. I stayed at far room, and might be annoying to back for some of them. But it was quiet and peaceful for me. Breakfast was not poor."
"My wife requires gluten free food ( which most frequently means no wheat products) and lactose free milk. She has reacted to soya milk in the past and generally opts for oat milk.
At breakfast in the hotel everything was clearly labelled if it contained wheat, but there were few alternatives provided and no alternative to the croissants and muffins. One waitress was very helpful and offered to see if there was any oat milk in the bar. Good idea - we knew there was because my wife had it in her coffee the previous evening. The waitress went and soon returned with a carton of oat milk. She apologized for the carton but we didn’t mind, we were pleased that my wife could enjoy her cereal.
However before she could use it another waiter (the Barman?) came along and demanded its return. My wife offered to return it after her breakfast but, no, it was needed immediately in case there were other customers who wanted it. The problem was solved by my wife pouring some into a cup and giving him the carton. Not the sort of situation we expect from a decent hotel. We were pleased at the imitative of the waitress, and thanked her for it. We were appalled at the crass behavior of the man who demanded its return. All in all it was a very poor breakfast."
"Booked for myself and daughter for a visit to Headingley. Hotel about a 20 minute walk to the city centre. Room was nice and adequate for our needs.
Nice breakfast. Would recommend."
"As a first time solo female traveller, I was apprehensive at first. However, I need not to have been. Staff, were amazingly friendly, kind and helpful. At breakfast, I sat alone and a member of staff came over and asked if I was OK, and did I need anything. I just thought it was a lovely personal touch, especially nowadays, where good customer services seems to be a hard ask. This hotel is definitely recommended, and I will definitely be going back next time I am in the city. Keep up the good work!!"
"Have stayed at this hotel a few times now but this stay was exceptional. Courtney on Reception gave us a lovely warm welcome and made sure we had a great room to celebrate my husband's birthday.
Great nights sleep. Super quiet and comfy bedding.
Shower was simply stunning.
We will return in October :)"
"Lovely stay at your hotel, the only negative was the quality of the warm breakfast items bacon was terrible really badly over cooked or pre cooked along time ago. Not sure what mushrooms was cooked in but a horrible after taste. Eggs also looked like been cooked along time. But all cold items were lovely and staff very good."
"Leonardo is a well-known chain in the UK and Europe, so you generally can't go too wrong with their hotels. However, this particular Leo in Leeds feels a bit less impressive than the ones in Glasgow Royal or Manchester Central. It's probably on par with the Heathrow branch, in terms of indoor facilities. There's a Sainsbury's supermarket right behind the hotel, open until 11 PM, which is super convenient for grabbing snacks. It's a 10-minute walk from Leeds Station, and also not far from Leeds Corn Exchange, Leeds Art Gallery, and Leeds Armouries Museum (which I highly recommend for its weapons and ancient warfare exhibits). You can also take a bus to the University of Leeds (it doesn't have walls but boasts a large campus) and Hyde Park next to it. 🏃🏃♂️🏃♀️"
"The hotel's location is fantastic, right inside the train station, yet the room was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was also very clean and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and understanding; he even let me check in at noon when my train arrived. Highly recommend!"

Great
RrianimielleWe recently stayed at Holiday Inn with friends visiting from Australia, and we had a great experience! The hotel provided a comfortable and welcoming environment for our group, making our stay enjoyable.
The breakfast was excellent—a great selection of fresh, delicious options to start the day right. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and spacious, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring. The location was convenient, making it easy for us to get around and enjoy our time together.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Holiday Inn to others looking for a comfortable and well-serviced hotel. We’ll happily return in the future!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
NNeil CookeUnusual venue for regular business traveller. Room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable, the bathroom was large but not the greatest of showers. The hotel doesn’t have a lot of amenities due its dual purpose outlook. However, the location close to Headingley offers plenty of places to eat and drink. There’s even a Wetherspoons within 200 yards. Nice touch from the hotel was a breakfast package in a bag, as I was leaving before breakfast was served. Ideal for someone looking for a peaceful nights stay.
GGuest UserHad a lovely couple of nights staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble and the bonus was all you could eat breakfast would recommend it was a lot of choices x

GGuest UserThe price is absolutely cheap, you can drive to York Ole's park &ride for half an hour to transfer to the city bus. The room is not small, very clean, parking is free, there is a restaurant at the door, all holiday inn for breakfast are the same. There is no elevator, you need to carry your luggage upstairs.
WWhiteJohnThis was definitely a mixed visit. On arrival we were checked in quite quickly receptionist was firmly enough although the reception desk itself seemed more like an information hub then a check in desk so the initial walk in was a bit confusing for me and my partner who don't stay in many hotels.. the one main thing that I noticed in the reception area is just through a set of double doors towards what would seem to be a fitness studio with an overlook of the pool had a chair with quite a nasty looking stain picture included. On arrival into the room things seemed clean tidy and presentable although there were a couple of things that could have been better for example one normal sized towel and 3 hand towels wasn't great and 2 towels would have been better, the toilet roll was very basic and clearly the cheaper stuff which you wouldn't so much expect when staying at a village hotel, there was a tile missing on the bathroom floor with a questionable amount of dust and dirt inside and around this hole and finally the doorframe seemed to be hanging off pictures of this are included. We had a look at the restraunt menu and it's safe to day if you don't fancy a burger, salad or chicken wings you will have to make other arrangements as we did by visiting the local residence 74 cafe about a mile away where we had a lovely time great food and a reasonable meal price. The bar is quite an open space and at first a bit confusing as there are some cinema chairs and big tvs but only playing the news. We had a drink I'm the evening this was probably priced for the venue but at £15 for a single vodka and lemonade and a double whisky we decided on only one when we found out that the bar closed for residents at 11pm which we found a bit early as other places stay open for residents. Room service would have been an option but from what I read this finished at 9.30pm and the is no in room phone to order such. Sleep was comfortable and sheets were clean it was just very hot as the window barely opens, there was no fan provided and no aircon. The TV also says its an Internet TV but upon attempt of connection no services were available. This morning the hotel seemed alot calmer and relaxed, we weren't sure of the breakfast procedures at all so we just sat down and were asked our room number but my partner got quite frustrated as she is autistic and no clear instructions were given it took us a while to source out breakfast and when we did we noticed it was very limited consisting of mushroom scrambled egg starnge potato circles beans tomatoes sausage and bacon. Honestly for me hash Brown's and black pudding are staples of English breakfast and should always be included when possible but unfortunately they were unavailable. I was going to ask a staff member but only one was seen briefly. There was also a High table next to us that was very dirty and when the staff member went to clean she simply sprayed it didn't wipe it and moved on, this didn't seem very hygienic. Breakfast was very average the addition of streaky bacon and chipolata sausages as opposed to tradition thick sausages and back bacon seemed very odd and definitely not our cup of tea! Coffee was not good atall however they do have a starbucks with is great because we do enjoy it. The night receptionist seemed to keeping a very close on me without speaking I found this quite lntimidating as a hotel guest and would have preferred him to ask me any concerns he had other than staring at me until I awkwardly said hello in which he just smiled and looked away briefly until I did then followed me with his eyes towards the stairs and no doubt watched me on camera until I entered my room. Overall a fair experience perfect I guess if you just need a quick room and have to extra money to burn but not ideal for us so probably wouldn't return.
Aangela shanghaiNice hotel, cost-effective, small and clean, the shower room is quite big, but the sound insulation is not very good. After staying for a few days, I had to take taxis both in the morning and in the evening. There seemed to be a school opposite and there was a large green space.
