Nice modern hotel with nice rooms in a good location but food service is a bit of a Brian Rix Farce with guesswork used to get the right food to the right table. Our evening food service was poor with the food not delivered hot or as per menu description, concerned as I’am a celiac. Suggest don’t eat there but across the street at the Costero Lounge which has good service, menu choice and value for money and a nice ambiance.
I stayed with my aunt, uncle ,sister, cousins and the rest of my family totaling 16 person,we all enjoyed our holiday. Location was excellent, beach was just accross from the hotel, easy to get to rail station. The best part was the view, the accomodating staff that sort all our needs. I just advice to bring ear plug to use at night as some parts ,rather at the back of the hotel seagulls (which you expect by the seaside😁)was quite noisy at night, though i slept well as i got my ear plug always at night when i sleep.Good value for money.
This was our second visit to the Redcliffe Hotel this summer. We agree that some of the rooms are dated although this visit we stayed in room 67 which was just by the lift which for us was a bonus as I have a bad foot, the decor as well as the large bathroom and balcony with sea view was a lovely surprise. This hotel has the most friendliest of staff. The indoor swimming pool along with jacuzzi and steam room are super (my husband used these both days). We dined in the hotel both evenings, first evening from the bar menu which was delicious and the second evening decided to go a little more formal and eat in the restaurant, this was a set menu and for £30 a head was great value. The hotel was lovely and warm considering it’s a large older hotel. Its position is perfect looking over the sea, what could be better the restaurant view is beautiful. Parking is free and we had no problem in finding a space on both visits.

Just enjoyed a lovely stay at this hotel and we have been many times before. Would like to say a big thank you to Stenze on reception for addressing an enquiry I had with the pricing online and what we were actually being charged and she dealt with it very efficiently and professionally. We were in a beautiful balcony room with superb sea views and was very comfortable and quiet. As part of our package we had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. As always the food was wonderful and staff very friendly and extremely efficient and hard working. Would highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to our next visit.

I came as a solo traveller to find some peace. My single room was upgraded and was immaculate. The bed was so comfortable and the room size was excellent. The whole decor of the hotel was so inviting and calming. My husband ended up joining me which was no problem at all which I sincerely appreciate. The food was a fantastic standard and a wide choice was available. I did not use the bar service but the area looked so relaxing as did the garden area. The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond my expectations. I could not fault the hotel and will be recommending to my friends and family.
GGuest UserTo be fair it was a lovely stay , yes the building is a little dated but it was built nearly 200 years ago , We received a warm and friendly welcome from Ged our host who showed us to our room which was clean and very nicely presented, the fire evacuation call was explained and so was the breakfast arrangement. Following morning breakfast was presented… a nice full English and Blueberry pancake with syrup both enjoyed with no complaints. All in all a very nice stay with lovely hosts . Parking was available on a first come first serve basis . Thank you Ged & Clare for a very pleasant experience Gerry & Bev or John & Gill 😍
DDaydream57410717390First off I would like to thank Jason Parry for changing our booking that was made through a third party when my husband was rushed to hospital the day before our visit. A couple of weeks later than we planned we stayed for three nights. What a fabulous location, near to all the attractions, bars and restaurants with a fabulous view of the coast from Torquay to Brixham. Check in was quick and friendly and we were allocated room 319 a premium room overlooking the front. The room was large clean, comfortable with good air con (a little noisy). Great to have a safe to store our keys etc. breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold items - sausage and bacon were very tasty. We are early risers so it was quiet when we went down. All the staff that we had contact with ate a credit to themselves and the brand - so friendly and helpful and we had lots of hints and tips to make the most of our trip. We didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel but we did have some late evening drinks which were reasonably priced. We had a fabulous couple of days and recommend the zoo via bus 22 for all ages. We will be back
Young lad very helpful when checked in offered help to take luggage to room If you struggle with mobility ask lower floor as lots stairs up to top floor small corridors Woken up 1am by people in the street on way back from pubs Friday night not hotels fault but that's problem with hotel being on a side street The corridor light kept coming on shining under the bedroom door and people shutting doors make noise Bed lovely and comfortable and room lovely and clean can't complain Seagulls on the roof every night so loud The second night was even worse for noise I had about an hours sleep due to people outside street and seagulls on roof! I know the hotel can't control this but not an ideal location The staff are lovely , especially the lady at breakfast Breakfast sausages were poor but rest was ok It's more of a B&B than a hotel If I could get a full nights sleep I would stay again
Stayed as part of a coach party. Hotels catering for coach parties, 3 coaches in on my visit, sometimes fail to deliver. Whilst on arrival it took almost 40 minutes for keys to be issued and luggage delivered to my room, considering the limited number of staff available and another coach had just arrived, it was acceptable, complimentary tea and coffee on offer. My room a twin, had everthing I needed although would probably be on the small side if two people were staying. The bathroom was functional if compact but the shower was terrific, plenty of hot water. A large TV and ample storage space. The evening Meal was exceptional, no pre ordering here, everything brought to your table, Each coach party was allocated a slot, although as the week progressed this was very flexible. The restaurant manager was 5 star, never seen anybody deal with service, staff, customers like that, well done. Breakfast was equally slick, all you had to do was ask and tea coffee toast jams would appear. No cold food here. The entertainment started with Bingo followed by the nights guest, again all very good. Any niggles, lift was small and at busy times overstretched, the building is old and corridors reflect this. Overall this was a 5 star experience in a 3 star hotel.
