Find the Cheap Scone Hotels

Stayed 4nights and no room service was provided. After 1st night enquired at reception about rom service and was assured that room service was included (beds maxed, fresh towels, toilet roll replenished, etc). Reception assured that a note would be put in their log and that room service would be met. Sadly no room service was provided even after raising issueless each day of stay. Regarding rooms: they require updating carpets worn and showe pressure on 3rd floor was non existing (half’s to remove shower head from hose to get some water. After 2nd day moved room to ground floor - decor a bit better (new carpet) however bathroom poor condition with cracked tiles and shower pressure marginally better than 3rd floor. On positive points: hotel location central, staff polite (even taking into account no room service). Breakfast provided was satisfactory. No dinner was purchased as restaurant was not open at 7pm on arrival (Thursday night ?). Thereafter eat out for lunch and dinner. Lounge bar was not frequently manned and had to go to reception to seek staff to obtain a drink. In summary: will not be returning to this hotel.

Super friendly welcome from receptionist,think it may be Kerri,and everything was explained about the hotel which was really helpful after a long journey. We were on dinner,bed and breakfast rate and stayed 2 nights which was great value. Breakfast offering was excellent quality and piping hot and plenty of choice. Our dinners were the highlight of our holiday and easily the nicest food we had during our 2 weeks away-lamb and steak first night then fish and chips and chicken the second which were all well presented and tasted delicious. Rooms were spotlessly clean,bright and we had a lovely view over the equally spotless garden. Sad to leave but we will definitely come back and stay and it was nice to see hands on owners like Scott at reception checking his guests were all happy-a thing sadly not seen enough in hospitality these days. My wife and I arrived with our friends from Ayrshire, to a great welcome to what, in all our opinions, is by far the best bed and breakfast we have ever experienced, and are likely to ever experience again. David and his partner, were excellent hosts, with a wonderfully infectious sense of humour, which turned our overnight break, into a brilliant experience. The bedrooms were sumptuous, with almost a theatrical nod to the Downton Abbey era, but were equipped with every modern convenience you could think of, and were furnished with top quality, classy furniture, which was soooo comfortable. The super king bed and bedding were high end, and the bathroom and towels was 5 star quality. But it was the overall attention to detail, and the provision of countless items of thought, which just gave our stay that absolute WOW! factor, Fresh scones with jam and cream, shortbread, freshly ground coffee, and even one of those bottle stoppers for your own Champagne or Prosecco, to protect the fizz ! Breakfast was quite simply delicious. The amazing honey and mint fruit salad, followed by a variety of freshly cooked local products and freshly baked croissants, set us up royally for the day ahead. The situation of the The Townhouse overlooks a beautiful park, and is a short walk to the centre of town and local places of interest. There is parking to the rear of the building, with access to the property. We could go on and on about our experience here, but anyone reading this just has to put The Townhouse on their bucket list when looking for accommodation in this beautiful part fo Scotland. You will be blown away !!
