"Ein tolles Hotel in der Nähe von Dublin. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Check in verlief vollkommen reibungslos. Das Zimmer ist großzügig, manchmal ein wenig kalt. Aber es ist gut eingerichtet, plüschig und hat alles, was man so braucht. Das Bad ist entsprechend modern. Hervorzuheben ist die Lage und die Umgebung. Es ist wunderschön im Garten mit Fluss und Insel. Im Hotel gibt es viele schöne Ecken, Sofas, Möglichkeiten sich aufzuhalten. Im Moment ist alles weihnachtlich geschmückt. Frühstück ist in Ordnung, wenn auch etwas zu Englisch. "

"We recently stayed in the Talbot hotel in Carlow, the evening before attending a wedding in Ballykealy. When booking, I had requested a quiet room , at the end of the corridor if at all possible. A bonus would have been the top floor. The receptionist Tufah was so gracious and welcoming. I was delighted that the hotel had made a note of my request and accommodated me in a room as requested. I appreciate that this isn’t always possible so it was wonderful. As a particularly poor sleeper, it was important to me. I was so happy to be accommodated on the top floor! The room was spotless and spacious. I loved the amount of space in the bathroom, especially in terms of places to put toiletries etc. We dined in the bar and the food was delicious and plentiful.  Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with plenty of choice. I was really impressed with the hotel and left looking forward to a return stay two nights later. Our second stay didn’t disappoint.  Julius on reception assured me of a quiet room- and that is what we got. We arrived quite late in the evening and Martin, the night porter quickly and efficiently checked us in. Our room was a mirror image of the previous stay, and again I slept really well. In the early morning my husband visited the leisure centre and enjoyed his swim. He found the staff to be friendly and helpful. This is something that we really appreciated during our two brief stays- courteous and friendly staff who excel at their job. We both look forward to staying there again in the future. 😊"

"The hotel located within walking distance to town centre. The room is very spacious but dated. The carpet smelled damp and need replacement. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great."

"Our stay at Kilkea Castle was everything we dreamed of for our bucket-list ”sleep in a European castle”! The staff was incredible and helped us with anything we asked for - including on site booking like meals & spa but also help with off-site food recs and bookings. We stayed in the Fitzgerald Suite for Halloween night which was on the priceir side but well worth it for the stunning views, claw tub in the castle tower, and the overall castle vibe of the room. The grounds were incredible! We enjoyed exploring the gardens during the day and at night under the moonlight. All of our meals were great too (2 breakfasts and 1 dinner at the clubhouse). Everything about this location is dreamy!!"

"Excellent service and staff breakfast was very good and highly recommend. Looking forward to going back ASAP.  Only problem been vegetarian menu was very poor although staff tried there  best to accommodate my requirements. And 25 euros each to use  Spa was not acceptable."
