This hotel definitely deserves a 4th star - goes without saying the view is absolutely breathtaking. Hearing the water from the lake from the bedroom was so relaxing. Not sure why reviews about the bedrooms were negative as we had a really beautiful large modern room with a comfy bed and tea and coffee making facilities. The only thing that would have made it better is a bath tub but that’s just me being fussy! The staff are really friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely. What more could you need! It’s a very affordable hotel in comparison to a lot of other hotels around the lake. Would recommend hiring a car as it is quite removed from a lot of the main attractions around the lake. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing retreat with amazing view - this is it! You wont be disappointed.

We had no plans to stay in Domaso, but because we wanted to do paragliding in Gera Lario and our pick up could not have been arranaged for farther places, we chose to stay at Domaso. We looked for this property and booked it instantly for its affordable pricing and beautiful views. PROS: - The view- its literally the best of all things. the property has it own private beach area an so overlooks the beautiful Lake Como. It is the perfect combination of Hills, Lake and lush greens. -The area is very quiet and non touristy and that makes it beautiful -The staff at the hostel is super helpful and nice. -They have a restaurant of their own with a bar and the menu is varied and affordable -The breakfast spread is nice -They have lounge chairs that you can use without any cost on the lake front -There are lots of activities around the area like kayaking, cycling, surfing etc. - The hostel dorms are decent but with that view you will hardly stay in the room CONS: The area around gets secluded at night and shops close early so its better to stock up on essentials. You can reach this hostel by taking a train from Milan to Colico and then from Colico take a bus to Domaso ( a bful 20 min ride). We went to Bellagio from Domaso by taking a bus to Mennagio and then ferry to Bellagio.

Spent a couple of nights here. Well off the main road and down by the shore of the lake with good parking and fantastic views. Lovely staff run the hotel and go above and beyond to help you enjoy the hotel or local area. We had a fantastic room at one end of the buildings overlooking the lake and associated mountains. Outdoor pool is a little cool but that’s not a complaint. Breakfast was first class with a huge selection on offer. For lunch we easily walked into town by the lake and had fantastic Pizza for €4.60 plus a glass of wine also for €4.50. Incredibly cheap but excellent quality.

The single room is smaller than expected, but overall it is quite satisfactory. It is close to the station and the lake. The service attitude of the front desk is good. The breakfast is also rich! It is delicious! The only drawback is that the wifi has been unable to connect on the second night, so there is no way to use the network.
