"One of the more superior ryokans we stayed in. Awesome onsen, both indoors and outdoors, with excellent service from all staff. Upon entering the car park, staff will come with umbrellas to help with luggage and it was a very very light drizzle. We had dinner in the room and breakfast in the common area but still segregated for privacy. The food was delicious- we had wagyu and enjoyed it very much. When we left, the owner’s daughter was sending us off at the entrance. 100% would return for another stay if we venture to Kusatsu onsen again."

"We stayed here during a two-day ski trip. I found this inn very appealing, especially since I had never seen it on social media. There are only a few rooms, so it was quiet and very comfortable. We were worried about which one to choose, but we stayed at ”Kiri,” which has an open-air bath in the room, and it was better than we expected, so we took a bath five times (lol). We'll definitely come back here again! We've been saying that ever since we got back. However, we didn't get a plan that included dinner, so we were hoping to eat at a nearby restaurant, but all the restaurants closed early, so we were left without food, which was a bit of a downside^^; Next time we stay, we'll make sure to make a reservation for meals!! The inn itself was really nice and the best. Thank you for your hospitality."

"The location is great, right in front of the Yubatake. The room is quite old, so the toilet, bath, and sink are small, but the steak and tempura for dinner were delicious. I didn't know there was a last shuttle bus from the parking lot, so I arrived after the last one had left, but they arranged an extra bus and got me to the hotel safely. Next time, I'd like to arrive a little earlier and explore Kusatsu."

"Spoiled for choice with the buffet breakfast and dinner, alongside 3 hot springs to use. However, our rooms were quite dusty, especially in the washroom bathtubs and around the toilet basin."

"Wonderful experience! Staff were excellent and the perk of having an on site lounge for snacks and drinks was a bonus. Hotel could explain the request for wearing the provided “room wear” for those unfamiliar with the practice. Once I understood the request it was fun to wander around in the provided clothing!"

"The location of the hotel is actually near to the bus station but because it is elevated therefore it was quite tiring especially when we have luggage. Therefore please book the shuttle bus in advanced. The shuttle also will bring you to the onsen part of the city so its very convenient. It is a nice hotel but a bit old. The hotel and room can use some upgrading. We took the tatami room which is veryy big room. The tatami also is suuper comfortable. The room has no shower in the room. Just a sink and a toilet. So to shower, you will need to go to the onsen at the basement. Its very nice with very warm water to soak in. They also have a gift shop that has the local snacks and souvenirs, kids area and manga corner as well as vending machines. Our room came with breakfast which has all the local delicacies. Super interesting. Overall nice hotel but could use some sprucing up."

"We stayed in a warm and comfortable tatami room, which included two meals. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to and from the station, and the staff were very attentive throughout our stay. The on-site hot spring was excellent; it snowed heavily the day we visited, and soaking in the hot spring while watching the snow fall was truly a magical experience. We also enjoyed the complimentary delicious late-night snack provided in the evening. Additionally, parking is available, which is convenient for those driving."
