"What a lovely Hotel!
The JR Inn Asahikawa is right next to the Asahikawa Station and Aeon Mall which is really convenient. We booked 2 rooms. The rooms were small but sufficient.
Interesting points about this Hotel:
1. You get to choose additional pillows for yourself on top of the already provided pillow
2. You get free amenities to pick from
3. There is a public bath (onsen)
4. There is a library cum lounge with free flow of coffee & tea
5. There are coin operated washing machines ¥100 & dryers ¥300
6. There is an ice dispenser machine
7. The Hotel is connected to Aeon Mall which is awesome!
We enjoyed our stay here!"
"Great location, very close to AEON Mall and Asahikawa Station. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. The room was standard, perfectly suitable for an overnight stopover. The service was normal and very efficient."
"stayed one night at Hotel Amanek Asahikawa and overall had a good experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite and efficient. My room wasn’t huge, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was surprisingly cozy, and I appreciated the modern touches in the room’s design.
The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants, which made getting around simple. The public bath was a nice bonus after a long day of traveling—nothing fancy, but relaxing and well maintained.
If I had to mention anything, the walls felt a bit thin, so I could occasionally hear sounds from the hallway. However, it wasn’t enough to disrupt my sleep.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay for one night. Good value, friendly staff, and a comfortable place to rest—I'd be happy to stay again if I return to Asahikawa."
"1st time book this hotel. I try coz I see the review of the hotel is not bad so I decided to try. Really no disappointed. The environment and rooms are good, just a little bit small. May choose bigger room next time. Is really convenient, just walk about 8min will reach all places for shopping n food."
"Right outside Asahikawa Station, across from AEON, this hotel is super convenient for buses, taxis, and the JR line. The front desk staff are warm and efficient. If you book a small room, you get the view in picture 1; for a larger room, it's the view in picture 2 – both offer great views. Normal check-out is at 10 AM, but you can extend it until 12 PM for an extra 1,000 JPY per hour. There's a self-service drink station from 2 PM to 10 PM. Breakfast is served until 9:30 AM and is really good. The only downside is that the bathroom facilities are quite old-fashioned."
"The breakfast was a stand out! Yum!
The morning staff are awesome too.
Onsen is a bit hot so you can’t stay in long and not having towels on hand is a let down too.
The hotel is in a great location tho with nice views over the city, good price and helpful, enthusiastic staff. I recommend this place and we will return."
"The hotel's location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk from Asahikawa Station, with many restaurants nearby. The room was also very spacious and great value for money. The staff were friendly and always willing to help."
"No slippers in the room, had to go to the front desk at 2 AM to ask for some, thankfully the staff was still there. Because of our late check-in, the hotel's main parking lot was full for large vehicles, so we had to use the nearby Times parking, which cost an extra 1100 JPY. I initially thought booking a room with breakfast directly through the hotel would be cheaper, but then I found out that online reservations were around 2200 JPY per person, while paying directly at the hotel was only 1800 JPY. The restaurant is on the top floor, and the sashimi was delicious, as was the special Asahikawa ramen. The milk was also very good."
"We stayed at Dormy Inn Asahikawa and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is conveniently located near Asahikawa Station and easy to reach many attractions such as Asahiyama Zoo and the Asahikawa Ramen Village.
The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Although the size was compact, it was very comfortable and functional
The highlight of our stay was the onsen (public bath) on the top floor — perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The free nighttime ramen (Yonaki Soba) was also a great treat before bedtime!"
"We booked a twin room. The room was big enough, but the bathroom was too small. After a rough measurement, the bathroom was less than 1.5 square meters, and it had a toilet, a washbasin, and a small bathtub. You couldn't turn around in it. The door couldn't be closed when entering the bathroom. Breakfast only had 3 kinds of bread, one kind of butter, and one kind of jam. There were machines for drinks and coffee, so you could make them yourself and drink as much as you wanted. The hygiene seemed okay at first glance, but there was dust in some places when you looked closely."

Great
FFeliciaWe chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four. The highlight was the in-house ‘onsen’ bath, which we enjoyed without any additional fees. The attentive staff surprised us by clearing the snow off our car after a heavy snowstorm. Senshoen gets my highest recommendation for its service, comfort, and lovely garden.
GGuest UserThe sheets were dirty in some places and I was worried whether they had been replaced, but other than that
I thought it was a good choice as it had a clean feel.
I could hear footsteps from upstairs late at night or early in the morning, and the TV suddenly turned on at 5am, probably because the previous guest had used the reservation feature on the TV, which woke me up, which was disappointing, but overall. I'm satisfied with that.
NNiuquduoduoBecause I had to fly from Asahikawa to Shanghai, I chose this budget hotel1.3 kilometers away from Asahikawa Station. The tatami triple room was small, but considering the cheap price, the price was OK. Breakfast is two sets of Japanese and Western styles. The hotel does not have hot springs. This is a little regrettable.
