"What a lovely Hotel!
The JR Inn Asahikawa is right next to the Asahikawa Station and Aeon Mall which is really convenient. We booked 2 rooms. The rooms were small but sufficient.
Interesting points about this Hotel:
1. You get to choose additional pillows for yourself on top of the already provided pillow
2. You get free amenities to pick from
3. There is a public bath (onsen)
4. There is a library cum lounge with free flow of coffee & tea
5. There are coin operated washing machines ¥100 & dryers ¥300
6. There is an ice dispenser machine
7. The Hotel is connected to Aeon Mall which is awesome!
We enjoyed our stay here!"
"The room wasn't huge, but it was absolutely perfect for a solo traveler. The best part is the hotel's fantastic location – just a short walk from Asahikawa JR Station. Right across the street is an Aeon shopping mall, which made shopping super convenient. I booked this hotel for just over 300 RMB, so the value for money was incredible. The hotel itself felt quite nice, with a certain quality to it. Just a short stroll from the hotel, there's a Starbucks, and right outside the Starbucks is a wide-open snowy landscape and a river – perfect for taking photos!"
"Conveniently located in Asahikawa, this hotel boasts a true onsen (hot spring) that's incredibly relaxing and invigorating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very welcoming, adding a pleasant touch to our trip. It was simply delightful!"
"No slippers in the room, had to go to the front desk at 2 AM to ask for some, thankfully the staff was still there. Because of our late check-in, the hotel's main parking lot was full for large vehicles, so we had to use the nearby Times parking, which cost an extra 1100 JPY. I initially thought booking a room with breakfast directly through the hotel would be cheaper, but then I found out that online reservations were around 2200 JPY per person, while paying directly at the hotel was only 1800 JPY. The restaurant is on the top floor, and the sashimi was delicious, as was the special Asahikawa ramen. The milk was also very good."
"This hotel was better than I expected. Triple rooms near the station are hard to come by, and this one offered a decent size and price, making it quite good for a budget hotel in Japan. Even with three beds, there was still room for two suitcases. It's a three-minute walk from the station, directly across from a popular ramen shop, and close to yakitori restaurants. The breakfast was very average; at 1500 yen for a meal ticket, you're better off getting breakfast from a convenience store."
"We stayed at Dormy Inn Asahikawa and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is conveniently located near Asahikawa Station and easy to reach many attractions such as Asahiyama Zoo and the Asahikawa Ramen Village.
The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Although the size was compact, it was very comfortable and functional
The highlight of our stay was the onsen (public bath) on the top floor — perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The free nighttime ramen (Yonaki Soba) was also a great treat before bedtime!"
"“Old, but clean bed & toilet, good location”
The hotel is old. The carpets and wallpapers are old and stained. However, the bed and the toilet are clean and slippers were provided. The room size is not small, compared to most japanese city hotels.
The amendities given are of normal Japanese hotel standards, ie. Toothbrush, comb, green tea, pajamas, hairdryer, kettle, room/clothes deodorant, nice soap and shampoo/conditioner, etc.
I only contacted the staff during check-in who was friendly and able to speak some English. There were signs in English in the lobby. The check in process was quick. For check out, we only need to drop the keys in a box.
The room had faint cigarette scent, eventhough it was a non-smoking room. We opened the windows for a while and it was okay.
During the night, the hotel and the streets were quiet. The air-conditioning worked fine (we stayed in August). We had a good night’s sleep.
The location is very good. The hotel is close to the train station. There is a convenience store nearby.
Overall, for me it is a good hotel for a quick night before travelling via train. But I would not spend multiple days in this hotel."
"stayed one night at Hotel Amanek Asahikawa and overall had a good experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite and efficient. My room wasn’t huge, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was surprisingly cozy, and I appreciated the modern touches in the room’s design.
The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants, which made getting around simple. The public bath was a nice bonus after a long day of traveling—nothing fancy, but relaxing and well maintained.
If I had to mention anything, the walls felt a bit thin, so I could occasionally hear sounds from the hallway. However, it wasn’t enough to disrupt my sleep.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay for one night. Good value, friendly staff, and a comfortable place to rest—I'd be happy to stay again if I return to Asahikawa."
"We opted for the priciest hotel in this area, primarily because of its impressive public bath facilities. Our room was reasonably spacious and offered a view of the JR station. However, parking came with a 1000 yen fee, making it pricier than the public parking facility right next door. The public bath itself was decent. Breakfast was good as well, but considering the price point, the overall value for money was genuinely disappointing."
"The hotel is good but there are 2 car parks. One is at the hotel building one is 2 blocks away. Staff is with language barrier. He asked us to park at the carpark 2 blocks away and we asked if we could park at hotel, he didn’t answer and kept saying we should park farther carpark. We asked reception at hotel and she said there is height restriction at hotel carpark but our car didn’t seem to be over the limit."

Amazing
Kkok tong daiWe stayed for 3 nights here, the property is so nice and much better than the photos shows here. It's have 6 super single beds and 2 sofa beds, washer and drier, and full equipped kitchen . I think is the best property we have stay in this 12days vacation.
FFeliciaWe chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four. The highlight was the in-house ‘onsen’ bath, which we enjoyed without any additional fees. The attentive staff surprised us by clearing the snow off our car after a heavy snowstorm. Senshoen gets my highest recommendation for its service, comfort, and lovely garden.
GGuest UserSince you are traveling by car, you don’t have to be near public transportation. But the location of the hotel is pretty good. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the famous Genghis Khan Barbeque for dinner. When I was driving to leave the next day, I discovered that there was a convenience store on the other side of the corner. ⋯I went to a hotel far away the night before, haha
QQingshuangcanxueThe room was quite good, a standard apartment. The bathroom was a bit small. The washing machine shelf was not installed securely. The washing machine almost wandered into the room. There was dust under the washing machine and it was not cleaned. The hotel is in a very good location, close to JR station and close to shopping malls, restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel does not provide an email address, only a phone number and does not understand Chinese or English. Every time something happens, I have to ask Ctrip to make suggestions. It is recommended that Ctrip develop a chat page with the landlord similar to Airbnb.
