"This hotel is such incredible value for money! I booked a group deal through Ctrip, and it was practically the cheapest hotel in Hakone Gora, including breakfast, for less than 1000 yuan. I was expecting a very basic place, but everything exceeded my expectations. The entire hotel is quite large and has its own grand public bath, plus you can use the two public baths next door for free. The hotel was fully booked, so my room got upgraded. It was bigger than the one I originally reserved, and the garden view from the room was stunning. The room decor was very modern, and the breakfast buffet was rich and varied. Of course, you can't compare it to hotels costing 2,000 or 3,000 yuan with private onsen, but for just over 900 yuan, this place is more than good enough. See the pictures!"

"The scenery and style are amazing, and the location is convenient. The mountain bus line H can reach the door. However, you have to climb a flight of stairs from the door to the front desk. You can't see any service staff at all. You can only climb up with your suitcase by yourself. It's very tiring. You have to carry it down by yourself after checking out. It's too hard. In addition, the service attitude and standards of the men who can speak Chinese among the service staff are significantly lower than those of other English or Japanese speaking staff! When I checked in, a girl who could speak English helped me with the check-in, and her attitude was very good! The most complaining thing is the food, which is very unpalatable. After a trip to Japan, it was the most unpalatable one. Whether it was dinner or breakfast, whether it was Japanese or Western, it was unpalatable. It was very unpalatable."

"Facilities: The facilities are complete but quite old, with clear signs of wear and tear. Cleanliness: Not bad, quite diligent, but the facilities are so old that it just looks a bit run down. Environment: It's right next to Gora Station, and there's a bus stop right outside, so transportation is very convenient. However, the nearest convenience store is about a kilometer up a steep hill, so it's best to buy what you need before returning to the hotel. Service: The occupancy rate is very high, and there are clearly not enough staff. You have to wait a long time for many things."

"It is a very Japanese-style hotel with tatami-style rooms. The rooms are very clean. The hot spring water is very smooth and easy to drain, so you can soak at any time. It includes dinner and breakfast, which are very rich, very Japanese, and very distinctive."

"Beautiful. Service was excellent, I loved the ice cream bar vending machine at the lobby area. Worth the cost, and when I plan my next visit in Japan, Ten Yu will be on my list. Don’t know what the kaiseki is like, but I definitely recommend the buffet breakfast & dinner. Otherwise I have no idea where you would go for dinner conveniently in Hakone."

"The hotel itself is not bad - beds are comfortable and large, and the dinner is okay, but nothing too special. This hotel overwhelmingly caters to families, which is evident when staying there: there are many children, and a lot of the amenities cater to them as well. For example the sauna is not very hot and there’s a lot of candies in the free snack bar. I wish the hotel was better at communicating / marketing this on their website, as I’m not the intended audience and it’s very expensive for a mediocre experience. As well, the breakfast timing is questionable - only available from 7am - 8:30am, along with a 10am checkout time this is quite an early start and not very relaxing."

"Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and super comfy. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight, way better than I expected for the price we paid. They have 3 types: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor and 1 mixed. All these are bookable throughout the day, from 7am to 11pm and they are completely private. The ryokan is 15 minutes walking from Gora station, so if you arrive by train and you have luggage I recommend you check on google map how to get there with a bus, otherwise you’ll have to walk uphill for a while. The only negative point I can find is probably the breakfast, I tried both western and Japanese style, they are both quite pricy for what they are and I personally did not enjoy the Japanese one. Despite this I would totally come back if I ever visit Hakone again."

"Amazing view from the rooms and the hotel overall. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax and get the view of Mount Fuji. Great service!! The only difficulty we had was reaching the hotel as the transportation isn’t very often and the only mode of transportation is bus. Overall very happy with the hotel"

"The hotel deserves an excellent mark. The hotel is situated next to Central Station; nevertheless, it is a very calm area. I was on my way from Mt. Fuji to take the Shinkansen to Osaka, so I decided to stay in the little town of Numazu to get real fresh sashimi at the Fish Market. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu was a perfect solution. The room was very bright, clean, and spacious. The personnel were very kind and spoke English. If you are lucky enough, you'll get a room with a view of Mt. Fuji just from your window. So, I can give only positive feedback. Highly recommended!"

"This hotel is nestled in the mountains of Hakone so it's very peaceful and quiet. Room and amenities are new and extremely clean. The surroundings are also worth checking out, with a park just opposite and a waterfall nearby. Major bonus if you go in autumn as the maple trees will turn flaming red. Another big pro is the free access to the Yunessun onsens (free rental of towels and swimsuit upon showing that you're staying at the hotel). The indoor onsen has funky pools like coffee, red wine and green tea, but the real gem is the Mori no yu outdoor onsen. Once in the onsen, remember to go down the steps to discover many more pools below with nice surroundings and mountain view. Also a shoutout to the hotel staff who are incredibly kind and helpful. It's a small hotel with only 3 levels. No escalators or lifts but the staff will help to carry your luggage upon check in and check out. A kind staff even checked whether I have an umbrella when I was about to go out because it might rain. I daresay this is my favourite hotel amongst all the hotels I've stayed in."
