"Enjoyed this hostel a lot! A had a separate room, stayed only for one night to explore Kamakura. I had everything needed in the room, the staff was very friendly, and the room was clean. It’s 10 minutes from the station, 20 minutes from the bay. The price is perfect for such location, I would choose this hostel again if I come to Kamakura."

"We had a great experience staying at this hotel. They helped receive a parcel on our behalf before we even arrived, and later helped us send another package to our next hotel. Their support made our trip so much easier and stress-free. The location is also fantastic, just a short walk from Ofuna Station, which made getting around very convenient. There are plenty of shops and places to explore nearby, so there's always something to do or eat within walking distance."

"The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to Kamakura Station, and the street it's on is great for browsing. However, the hotel room layout is really bizarre. The bathroom is tiny, and while the family room itself is quite spacious, a large area in the middle is taken up by a sofa-like piece of furniture that we couldn't figure out the purpose of, and it wasn't comfortable to sit on. Plus, the outer fabric cover looked quite dirty. All in all, the layout and facilities are very poorly designed. It's definitely not worth over a thousand (yuan/yen), and I won't be returning. It's a real waste of such a good location."

"The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English. They were always willing to help and even stored our luggage for us until the evening! The location is incredibly convenient, just a five-minute walk to Ofuna Station, which makes it incredibly easy to travel to both Kamakura and central Tokyo. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee and ice machine. The local residents were also very friendly, and we felt completely safe walking to the convenience store at night. Highly recommend!"

"The room facilities were definitely a bit dated. Rooms are situated on lower floors, the highest being around the second floor. You can see Mount Fuji from the room, though unfortunately, I visited in September so it wasn't snow-capped. If you're planning a visit, I'd suggest checking Xiaohongshu for a shortcut through the wedding shop area; otherwise, dragging your luggage up the hill can be quite exhausting. At 1800 a night, you're definitely paying for the scenic view. The hotel's restaurant recommendations were all excellent. For dinner, we tried Coral Reef, and their curry rice was incredibly delicious. The next morning, we had breakfast at Bills – eating by the sea was wonderfully relaxing."

"The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. Our room was also spotless. When an unexpected issue came up, they were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. We are truly grateful for their assistance. Highly recommend!"

"This Sotetsu hotel is right outside Ofuna Station and very close to the Grand Ship shopping center, which houses a Life supermarket, making shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel's linen was very clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. Breakfast was a Ueshima Coffee set meal; the grilled toast was delicious, though the coffee was just okay. From Ofuna Station, it's only a little over ten minutes by monorail to Enoshima. There's a Bookoff nearby, perfect for picking up collectibles, and right next to it is Ito-Yokado. You'll also find plenty of dining options in every direction around the hotel. Overall, if you're visiting Kamakura, staying in Ofuna is a really smart choice."

"The location is very convenient. You can walk to the cherry blossom avenue on the way to Hachimangu Shrine. The facilities in the room are very complete. There is a charger provided. The charger I brought with me was broken and I was worried about how to charge it. In addition, it is rare to see Japanese hotels provide bottled water, which is very touching. There is also a self-service ice machine in the hotel. It is very refreshing to buy some drinks and drink them cold. In addition, the check-in is a bit inconvenient. When you walk to the self-service check-in machine, you have to wait for Ctrip to contact the hotel to get the order number... This may also be a problem of the booking agent. I hope it can be improved."

"Extremely satisfied with our Kamakura hotel booking! We were torn between two options, but since we were traveling with a child, we opted for this one due to its more convenient location. The lobby's aesthetic, coupled with the lush greenery in the atrium, created a wonderfully peaceful (落ち着く) atmosphere. Our room was also spacious and very clean, especially the bathroom, which had a great wet/dry separation and a makeup mirror – I absolutely loved it. There's a convenience store right next door, a drugstore across the street, and the hotel itself has a cafe. Plus, just a short walk away, there's a Michelin-starred ramen place and a delicious tempura restaurant. The more I write about it, the more I want to go back!"

"A 10-minute walk from the subway station, with various restaurants conveniently located nearby. This is an excellent building that makes effective use of its steel frame structure and features superb landscape design. It would be a particularly meaningful stay for architects. The breakfast area is designed like a charming cafe, making everything served there seem delicious. I spent my time reading and gazing at the rainy courtyard until check-out. I was very pleased by the kindness of the female staff member who spoke Korean. While both the room's size and comfort were excellent, there was no charger provided, and I hope the quality of the toothbrushes can be improved. One morning, despite the rain, I opened the window and enjoyed the delightful birdsong for a long while. It was a relief that the windows here were easy to open and close, unlike in many Japanese accommodations. As I personally loved Kamakura City, if I ever return, I'd love to experience both a traditional guesthouse and spend my last night here to enjoy the morning before departing."
